A dazzling beam of light shot straight into the sky.

Thunder rumbled.

Dark clouds gathered thickly above Larus City, churning violently as if sothing ancient was awakening within them.

Sam clenched his right fist and waited in silence.

Below, the citizens of Larus City looked up in fear. Even those who didn't understand what was happening could feel it—sothing terrifying was coming.

Then—

A claw tore through the clouds.

With a deafening roar, the ruler of the skies revealed itself.

Rayquaza.

The roar alone stirred a violent hurricane, whipping Sam's clothes wildly in the wind.

Even though he had prepared himself ntally, Sam still felt his breathing tighten under that overwhelming pressure.

It was the kind of presence that made even the soul tremble.

He dug his nails into his palm. Only pain kept him grounded.

Behind him, the crystal in his backpack reacted violently. In a flash of light, it transford—

Deoxys appeared.

Through their psychic connection, Deoxys conveyed one simple ssage:

"Leave… leave here."

Even in its cold tone, there was unmistakable concern.

Sam shook his head.

No words were needed.

His actions were his answer.

He released another Poké Ball.

"Bangira—co out!"

In a burst of red light, Tyranitar appeared.

The mont it landed, swirling sand gathered beneath its feet, forming a dense cloud that lifted it into the air.

Above them, Rayquaza stared down.

After years of searching across regions, it had finally found its target.

A cruel, feral smile ford.

Its mouth opened—

Energy gathered.

A terrifying beam began to form.

"It's coming! Dodge!" Sam shouted.

BOOM!!!

The destructive beam tore through the sky.

Sam, Deoxys, and Tyranitar barely evaded it—

But Larus City couldn't.

The protective barrier trembled violently as the attack struck.

The ground shook.

Buildings rattled.

If a few more attacks like that landed, the island city itself might collapse into the sea.

Sam's eyes hardened.

"Deoxys—Dark Pulse!"

Deoxys didn't hesitate.

The crystal on its chest glowed, releasing a surge of dark energy that struck Rayquaza directly.

Rayquaza roared in pain—

And rage.

---

Far below, Ash, Misty, and the others watched from a high platform.

In Ash's arms, Absol trembled, letting out a worried cry.

"It's okay… Sam will be fine," Ash said, gently stroking its head.

Nearby, Norman stood with a serious expression.

"I've already contacted the League. Reinforcents are coming… he just needs to hold on."

But even as he said it, his fists were clenched tight.

He hated standing here, powerless.

---

Back in the sky—

Rayquaza lashed out.

Its massive Dragon Tail swept toward Deoxys.

"Deoxys, keep attacking! Leave this to !" Sam shouted.

" Tyranitar—Sand Tomb!"

Tyranitar roared.

A massive hand of swirling sand surged upward, gripping Rayquaza's tail mid-swing and locking it in place.

For a mont—

It worked.

"Now! Psyshock!"

Deoxys transford, its body shifting into a speed form as it shot forward like a cot.

Pink psychic energy erupted—

Direct hit.

Rayquaza roared again, its fury reaching new heights.

Its energy spiked violently.

The sand grip shattered.

"Move!!!" Sam shouted.

Too late.

The Dragon Tail broke free and slamd into Deoxys.

CRASH!!!

Deoxys was sent flying hundreds of ters away.

But—

It wasn't finished.

Having switched to a defensive form just in ti, it endured the blow.

Barely.

Its body trembled, nearly torn apart—but it steadied itself.

Then it charged back.

Because stopping now ant death.

---

Rayquaza's gaze shifted.

Not to Deoxys.

But to Sam.

Its ancient intelligence had already figured it out—

The human was the key.

Eliminate the Trainer…

And the battle ends.

The sky grew darker.

And for the first ti—

The true target locked in.
