[ POV Change ]

The scene was chaotic, with the air thick with tension as the group of Team Rocket rookies struggled to control their newly acquired Pokémon. These were no ordinary creatures, for they possessed the ability to think and behave much like humans. Yet, they did not act like the intelligent and obedient pets that trainers usually had. Instead, they behaved like wild animals.

The trainers yelled commands, but their Pokémon ignored them, and the result was disastrous. In a flash, the Pokémon attacked their trainers, causing mayhem and chaos. An Ekans bit its trainer, a Koffing spat gas, and a Spearow pecked at its trainer's head. It was as if the Pokémon had lost their minds, and no amount of scolding or order could make them listen.

Fortunately, the chaos was short-lived. A group of more experienced Team Rocket mbers, led by Instructor Lisa, intervened, and the aggressive Pokémon were quickly subdued and returned to their Pokéballs.

Green watched with a mixture of fear and sadness as Austin took her hand, offering her comfort. The events of the past few minutes had shaken her to her core, and she couldn't help but feel sorry for the mistreated creatures.

The air was thick with tension as the group of rookies stood their ground, clutching their Pokéballs tightly. The feral Pokémon that had attacked them only monts before now lay scattered across the ground, their lifeless bodies serving as a grim reminder of the dangers that lurked in team rocket.

"Don't worry, Green," Austin said, his grip on her hand tightening. "As long as I am here, not a single one of these feral Pokémon will touch a hair on your head."

Green couldn't help but smile at Austin's reassuring words. Despite the chaos that had just ensued, she felt a sense of comfort in his presence.

As the injured and dying were carried away to the ergency room for treatnt, the rest of the group stood in silence, staring down at their Pokéballs with fear and uncertainty.

Lisa sauntered over to the group, a sadistic grin on her face.

"Oh~ it looks like none of you losers will get the rewards today," she taunted. "What a pity. By the way, I forgot to tell you. The Pokémon in your hands were harvested in the wild not long ago."

Austin's mind imdiately began to race. The feral behavior of the Pokémon made him wonder what they had been through before ending up in the hands of Team Rocket.

As if sensing his thoughts, Lisa continued, "You should hurry up. If you can't conquer your Pokémon in a week, then you have to start as a Team Rocket grunt. By the way, 80% of all Team Rocket grunts do not manage to receive the benefits of being a true Team Rocket mber."

She paused, a sly smile playing at the corners of her lips.

"Well, I don't want to talk any more nonsense. I will give you a week. No matter what thod you use, only those who successfully ta the Pokémon in their hands can beco true mbers of our Team Rocket. Those who can't do it will all be starting from the bottom. Our Team Rocket isn't going to waste resources on a grunt."

The group of rookies exchanged nervous glances, the weight of Lisa's words sinking in.

Austin couldn't help but wonder why there were so few Team Rocket mbers who used chs in battle. Were they all simply grunts who hadn't managed to conquer their Pokémon, or were chs just weaker than Pokémon?

The room was filled with tension as the rookies stood before Lisa, their superior in Team Rocket. Her sharp gaze bore down on them, and they all looked down at the floor, their nervousness palpable. Only a few brave souls dared to et her eye, but upon catching her stare, they quickly averted their gaze.

Austin and Green imdiately looked down, hoping to avoid drawing any unwanted attention. They knew that they needed to lay low if they planned to succeed.

Lisa, on the other hand, was studying the performance of the rookies, taking note of their strengths and weaknesses. As a Captain of Team Rocket, it was her responsibility to train and ntor the recruits, with the ultimate goal of cultivating them into elite officers. It was a crucial task for Lisa, as her success in training rookies would help to solidify her influence and reputation within the organization.

The tension in the room broke as Lisa clapped her hands and spoke, "Follow the Team Rocket mbers." Her order was t with a flurry of activity, as the grunts who had been waiting outside the door entered the room and began escorting the rookies out. Austin and his fellow rookies walked quickly, keeping their heads down as they were led out of the room.

As Lisa watched them leave, her eyes lingered on Austin's retreating figure, and she couldn't help but lick her lips. Her gaze caused a shiver to run down the spines of the Team Rocket mbers who stood behind her, as they knew all too well what it ant to be caught in the gaze of the "cougar" of Team Rocket.

Austin and the other rookies were led through the winding hallways of the underground base, their footsteps echoing loudly in the dimly lit corridors. After several minutes, they arrived at the public dining hall, a cavernous space filled with long tables and benches. The grunts ushered them to a table and provided them with a simple al of soup and bread.

As they ate, Austin couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He was deep inside the enemy's lair, surrounded by people who wanted to do him harm. But he knew he had to keep his cool and stay focused if he was going to complete his mission and gather the intel he needed.

After finishing their al, the grunts led them to the recruit dormitory, a series of small rooms lined up along a long corridor. Austin was assigned to a room and as he opened the door, he was pleasantly surprised. The room was simple, but it had everything he needed: a bed, a table, a kitchen, a bathroom, and even a computer.

As he looked around, he noticed a closet in the corner of the room. He walked over to it and opened it, revealing two Team Rocket uniforms made from fur dropped from Pokemon. They were not only lightweight and durable but also had special properties to prevent fire and electricity.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Austin quickly composed himself and called out, "Co in." Green, entered the room.

"Want to play a ga with , honey?" Green said, using the prearranged code to indicate that they needed to speak in private.

Austin nodded and hugged Green tightly, trying his best to act like a couple in love. They both knew that the room was likely bugged, and they needed to be careful about what they said.

"Hmm, you're going to take advantage of

in here, you perv," Green teased, playing along with the charade.

"Why? Can't I hug my girl in private?" Austin responded, trying to sound casual.

"What shall we play?" Green asked, shifting the conversation to sothing more serious.

"How about crossword?" Austin suggested, hoping to keep things low-key.

"Sure," Green agreed, pulling out a pen and paper.

Suddenly, Green leaned over and kissed Austin on the cheek, causing him to blush furiously.

"What was that for?" Austin asked, feeling flustered.

"What, isn't this part of the plan, or did my small gesture awaken sothing in you ?" Green whispered in a teasing tone in his ear, causing Austin's heart to race.

" Just kidding," Green said as they worked on the crossword, they quietly exchanged information they had gathered about the base.

[ Omake Paragraph ]

Of the countless water and ice-type pokemon, only a few of them are made of H2O, instead of rely being able to command it and live in such a climate. And of those few, it is only Vaporeon which can render itself so indistinguishable from water that it can undergo the water cycle intact; there is a good reason that this is the pokemon from which water vapor gets its na.

When the temperature drops below freezing, they turn into Glaceon, which scientists are beginning to regard as an alternate Vaporeon form (although they say there is a rock in Sinnoh where more stable Glaceon which do not lt are born); when it rises above the boiling point of water, they disappear into steam, and occasionally their outline can be seen within the steam clouds. Boiling a Vaporeon is not fatal like it is for most water-type pokemon. Instead, they undergo condensation, form into clouds, and drop out of the sky during rain storms, occasionally landing on unfortunate passersby.

This is not the only way in which their ability can cause trouble. At tis, they land in reservoirs, and while sleeping are brought through water pipes into people's hos. At tis people look at their cup of tap water to find a fin-eared face staring at them before it gets out and splashes them, at tis they scream in embarrassnt as a pokemon materializes in their bathtub, and at tis the humans are fine, but the Vaporeon is sent into a spiral of dizziness in a washing machine.

All involved (their trainers especially) agree that this ability can be a real source of annoyance, but one should keep in mind that this is also what gives Vaporeon their enormous power in battles that take place in the water.
