Well, sothing I had not expected ca out of Togepi's welcoming party. Gible and Togepi beca fast friends throughout the party. Whether that was because Togepi felt that Gible needed so extra happiness or sothing else I did not know, but by the end of the party the little fairy and the little dragon were acting like good friends that knew each other for a long ti.
They even roped Tyrogue into their little group, and I was jokingly considering if I should bring out so juice so that they could drink to their brother/sisterhood. I could call them Luffy, or rather Lucy, Ace, and Sabo, but that was just so fancy fantasy.
There was no way I would na them simply because of so funny thought I randomly ca up with. Anyway, due to the way the two, sorry three young ones acted yesterday, I was not surprised when they all insisted to stay together while I was spending so ti with one of them.
So, instead of spending so ti with Togepi to get closer, or with Gible for the sa reason, or working on Tyrogue's routine, I spend the ti with all three of them. We played and talked together during the ti I would have spent socializing with Togepi as well as Gible, and the other two watched and cheered a bit during Tyrogue's training before they beca too fired up and began doing so training of their own.
I also brought out the Eevee squad as well as Nyx and they joined the young trio soti after lunch. I naturally also made sure to keep an eye on Utopia to supervise and talk with everyone else. It was during tis like these that I was super thankful for my second thought stream and my master control of Utopia, which allowed to not neglect my other Pokemon while spending ti outside of Utopia.
Still, that did not stop from thinking about how great knowing a cloning technique would be. I had not forgotten my ideas regarding Double Team and Substitute, but the implentation was too hard and for the foreseeable future out of my reach.
Yet I had not stopped thinking about solutions as well as alternatives, and I had co up with sothing that I was confident would/could work. It was sothing that required to train up one of my elental affinities, but I was ready to do it since it would be worth it.
Besides, I had already unwittingly done the first step for the ground elent during the personal competition, so working on that elent made sense. Essentially, I was going to create sothing like an Elental Clone like the Earth or Water Clone from Naruto, just better.
The reason I called it better was that the only way my version could be differentiated from was by using astral/soul abilities. I would need to incorporate astral energy to solve that problem, but I was not planning to work on that as well for now.
As for my clone itself, I planned to train my ground abilities up, until I could create a Ground/Earth Clone. Then I would work on infusing my aura into the creation process to create a more lifelike version that also gave off my life signal, and could do what I could do to a certain extent.
The next step was to include my mind/ntal energy into the process, to turn the clone into a full-fledged copy that also gave off my ntal signal. Afterward, I would use my second thought stream to control the clone, and viola, I had a second body that was perfectly under my control.
I could obviously do sothing similar by only using my ground and psychic abilities, without the aura, but that would be an inferior version, that would lack "life", so I preferred doing a triple aspect clone. If I ever added astral energy to that clone, I would have practically created the perfect clone.
Oh, and if everything worked out as I wanted it to, then I could use my ground, aura, and psychic abilities as well through my "triple clone" while controlling it. The best part was that as soon as I unlocked a third or fourth thought stream, I could create another clone giving access to another body. I would be redefining the word multi-tasking, and that would solve or at least ease my ti problem by quite a bit.
Anyway, where was I before I went off-tangent again? Ah, yes, I spent the day with the young ones and before I knew it Kyoday was nearly over. I was a bit giddy when I went to sleep since I would be visiting Oak's Lab tomorrow.
It might have been an Egg Center and not the main laboratory, but it still belonged to Oak. Besides, I would be getting a Charmander egg, and that was already enough of a reason for to feel giddy. Who knew? Maybe I would get to et the legend himself if he decided to show up.
Well, it was also possible that he was busy with sothing else, or that my appearance did not attract his attention, but I was hoping that he would show up at so point since I would like to see the man for myself.
While thinking about so more random things, I fell asleep.
I woke up a bit earlier than usual even without setting any alarm. Since I was already up at 6 a.m and only had to be in front of the academy at 9:45 a.m for my eting with Mr. Caron, I decided to stock up a bit on the food front, so I went inside Utopia and began cooking all kinds of food for my Pokemon.
As soon as a batch was done I would store it, where it would stay fresh until I took it out. By the ti the fourth batch was close to being done, it was already 8:30 a.m, so I began cleaning up the kitchen while the latest batch finished cooking.
As soon as it was done, I began handing it out to everyone instead of storing it since they had already woken up by this point. I did not stay inside Utopia to accompany them for breakfast but left instead for my own breakfast with my parents.
When I went downstairs mom had already prepared everything since she knew I would be leaving for the academy at 9:30 a.m at the latest. Once I was done with my breakfast I thanked mom for the food, and she as well as dad wished luck on my trip.
I left our ho at 9:35 a.m and considered a bit whether I should run to the academy or not before shaking my head in denial. There was no need to do that. Instead, I pulled out Horus/Xatu's ball and called him out.
I asked him to Teleport to the academy gate and he did. I could have done so as well, but it would have taken more jumps and ti, so I decided to leave it to Horus.
I recalled him after thanking him for his help. Mr. Caron was not here yet, and a look at my watch told that there were still 9 minutes, correction, 8 minutes until our agreed-upon eting ti. I began pondering if I should head to his office instead of simply waiting at the gate, but he showed up just a minute later together with his Alakazam.
"Good morning my boy," he greeted and Alakazam followed suit. 'Good morning young Mikail,' he said.
"Good morning to you as well Sir," I first returned Mr. Caron's greeting before doing the sa for Alakazam. "Good morning to you too, Alakazam."
"Alright, let's not waste any ti," Mr. Caron said before he nodded at his Alakazam, who proceeded to teleport us to our destination.
We appeared at what looked like a reception room, and Mr. Caron directly walked up to the reception desk. I followed behind him, and Alakazam was levitating along as well.
"Good Morning, I'm here for Mikail Geo's appointnt," he said to the receptionist.
"Good morning, Mr. Caron," the receptionist seed to have recognized him since she returned his greeting without him needing to introduce himself.
"The appointnt is scheduled for 10 a.m, so you're a bit early. Otherwise one of the assistants would have welcod you," she said before giving a smile in my direction.
"Give a mont and I'll call them to inform them of your arrival," she added before she took up her office phone and called soone. She spoke for a bit before she hung up and focused back on us, or rather Mr. Caron.
"They'll be here in a few minutes," she inford us. "You can take a seat in the lounging area if you want," she added while looking at before she motioned towards an area with empty seats and tables.
"Thank you, but we'll wait here. It shouldn't take them too long," Mr. Caron flashed her a smile and I as his hanger on stood by his side. It turned out that he was right. Less than two minutes later a young man and woman walked up to us and greeted us.
"Yes, good morning to you two as well," Mr. Caron returned their greetings and I did the sa. "I'm sure you are aware of it, but this is Mikail Geo," he added while patting my shoulder.
"I'm leaving him in your care for the duration of his stay," he said in a serious tone. "I'll be back at 6 p.m to bring him back, so make sure he's well taken care of until then," he instructed and the two assistants nodded earnestly.
It seems Mr. Caron's reputation preceded him seeing how the assistants working in Professor Oak's Lab were reacting. That, or he had left quite an impression on the staff of the center during his last visit.
"Alright, I'll see you later. Make sure you trust your instincts while choosing and good luck," he said to before he vanished together with Alakazam.
Once he was gone I felt the pair of assistants relax a little, and the male spoke up to introduce themselves to before he began talking about the center.
"With our introductions out of the way, let's talk about the center and your visit," the male assistant began explaining in a practiced tone.
"Our center maintains hatching rooms with optimal developnt and hatching conditions. Each room contains a clutch of eggs ranging from 12 to 16 Charmander eggs. The number depends on the ti the eggs were laid and their developnt speed, as well as parentage/origin.
The lab is quite large and has 70 such hatching rooms. Removing those that contained eggs that have already been assigned, and rooms that contain eggs that were recently laid, you have access to 39 of those rooms," he declared before the female continued in his place.
"The reason you can not visit the other rooms is that Professor Oak is only willing to hand out eggs that have less than 6 months until their hatching. He is usually only willing to part with hatched Charmander, but he occasionally allows the handout of eggs if the reasons are sufficient," she explained while looking into my eyes.
"A request from the governnt or alliance is sufficient enough, but alliance request or not, Professor Oak was, is, not willing to budge on the 6 months rule. This rule was also one of the reasons that Mr. Caron personally ca to our center.
He tried to persuade Professor Oak to increase the hatching ti so that you can have a bigger pool of eggs to choose from, but the professor refused, despite Mr. Caron verifying that you have already successfully taken care of multiple eggs.
Still, even though he failed to get Professor Oak to increase the hatching ti, he managed to raise the ti you are allowed to stay at the center by an hour, which is why you can stay until 6 p.m, instead of 5 p.m," she finished seriously, apparently trying to make aware of the effort Mr. Caron invested for my sake.
The male spoke up once again after the female had said her piece.
"The two of us will be accompanying you until lunch, and after that, another two assistants will take over for us. You are not allowed to leave our sight during your stay here," he proclaid.
"It's the lab rules, so there is nothing we can do about it. It's the sa for everyone else as well," he added while shrugging his shoulder. That broke the professionalism the two had maintained so far.
"Alright, now that we've told you what we were supposed to, let's start with the first room," he said with a smile. They began walking further inside and I followed along.
