Right on Arcday, I returned to the beach, but instead of entering the cave or diving into the sea I approached the water and stopped to contemplate my next step.

The plan was to check the surface of the sea to see if I could spot the Lapras, and I had multiple ways to go about it. The first was the classic boat, but it was too slow so that one was out.

The next one was checking the sea from above preferably on a large flying type that could stay in the air for prolonged periods. While I, unfortunately, did not have such a flying type, I had so abilities of my own.

Since my flying through telekinesis was neither fast nor safe, I could use my ability to create psionic platforms instead. I could them to run in the air and in case sothing happened I could use my telekinesis to keep myself up or slowly lower myself.

Even if I were unable to do so for so reason, Xatu could do the sa for . The only disadvantage of this thod was that it used quite a bit of energy. By my estimates, I should be able to keep that up for 2-3 hours, before I needed to rest for a bit.

Eating so of the energy bars I made for Xatu and myself would help shorten the ti I needed to recover. I made multiple energy bars versions that focused on different aspects by changing so of the ingredients.

The one I ntioned earlier helped recover psionic energy faster. It was made using Oran-, Leppa-, Nol- Berries, Psychic Seeds, and so Beedrill Honey. Not only did it taste good, but it also allowed to refill my reserves in 5-10 minutes instead of the 80-90 minutes it currently took to do so.

(Deep) ditation could accelerate that even further, and was sothing that I would definitely need once my reserves grew even more, but for now my energy bars had an aweso effect on us.

Anyway, the next thod was to use the platforms to walk on the sea instead of the air. That would cost less energy but I would not be able to see vast areas like I would up in the air.

Ultimately, I decided to do them all. Most of the ti I was going to run atop the water, while occasionally running up the air to get a bird's eye view of the area. Whenever I needed to rest or got tired of those two thods I would take out a raft and rest on it or use it to move for a while.

The only problem with that plan was that I had no raft, but I had enough rope to make one and there were trees everywhere, so finding so fallen ones was not that hard.

I had Xatu teleport us to the nearest woods and called out everyone capable of moving on land to search for fallen trees. We spread out and in just 20 minutes we had found enough fallen trees to build a decently sized raft.

I had everyone help with the building process so that the event could serve as a bonding process. Gaia, Nyx, Teddiursa, and Cubone removed the bark, and Pidgey removed the leftover dust as dirt on the wood with Gust.

Mothra and Butterfree cut the wood to the correct size using Air Slash, while Seb used Horn Attack to punch a hole around the middle near both ends of the wood and in the center for the rope to go through.

QueenBee and her lackey used String Shot to gather the removed bark in one place, so that it did not get in the way, while also securing the stacked wood.

Xatu and I were using telekinesis to move the wood whenever necessary. Once all trees had been processed by us, I called Teddiursa over and had him initiate Fire Punch.

Once he had the fla going, I had him hover his fist over the wood while Xatu moved every part of the wood below his fist at least once through his telekinesis. This was to remove any excess moisture.

I carved a seam in a circle around the wood at the location of the hole, so that the rope would move after I wrapped it around the wood. Then I took out three really long ropes and did a ga-secure knot on one of their ends.

I then guided one of them through one of the holes Seb created and wrapped the rope around the wood once, perfectly settling the rope in the seam I carved. I repeated this with the other two ropes and holes before Xatu levitated another piece of wood over.

I then guided the ropes through the holes of that wood piece as well, wrapped the ropes once around, and waited for the next piece of wood. I repeated this process until all pieces of wood were securely connected to each other.

Afterward, I did another ga-knot before I cut off the extra rope. I checked if the raft was robust enough and it was great. Everybody cheered for our success and I handed out snacks to everyone as a reward for their help.

Surprisingly, it took us only slightly more than an hour to build a raft that was about 6 m². Since the raft was done I placed it inside my space, along with everything I took out during the building process.

I asked Seb, Gaia, as well as Nyx to dig a few wide holes and dumped the tree bark we had removed inside before refilling the holes, which should increase their decomposition rate.

Once that was done I put away everyone except Xatu and asked him to return us to the beach. There I first tested the raft we built to see if it floated and to check if it stayed whole.

After 5 minutes I thought everything looked good, so I stepped into the air and put the raft away. Then I began to walk out to the sea, while occasionally checking the compass to make sure of my direction.

I called out Pidgey and together with Xatu, they accompanied during my journey through the air. The whole scouring trip had another purpose besides finding the Lapras.

Every ti I saw an island above a certain size, I marked its position on a provisional map I created so that I could check it out at a later date. In the ani, an island full of mbers of the Squirtle-line was shown near the coast of Kanto.

Even if that specific island did not exist on Terra, who knew if any of the islands I saw had so rare Pokemon. For this reason, I was going to check them out soti in the future. Who knew maybe I would find one that I wanted to claim or buy if it belonged to the governnt.

An hour in I spotted the first island that qualified so I roughly marked its position before I continued. A bit more than an hour later I descended onto the sea standing on the water. I took out my compass made sure I was still heading south before I began running.

I ran for another hour before I took out the raft we made. I settled on it and called Xatu as well as Pidgey down as well, before calling out all my water types. They focused on once they checked out their new surroundings.

"We are out on the sea and the three of us are going to stay on this raft for the next hour. One of you is going to push the raft and every 20 minutes the one pushing will switch with soone else. No worries those that don't get a turn when the hour is up will get one the next ti."

They all looked at each other before Drake moved behind the raft. I nodded at that and addressed them once more.

"The rest of you can swim around the raft, just make sure not to swim too far out." Once I said that all of them except for Aby subrged, while Aby kept swimming beside our raft.

20 minutes later, all of them returned and Stan took over for Drake. After him Jade took over and 5 minutes into her pushing the raft I noticed violent movents below us. I told Xatu as well as Pidgey to stay put, took out my rebreather, and dove into the water.

What I saw was sothing I had not expected to see this close to Kanto, but should have since I had seen even more unlikely Pokemon. 8 Carvanha were fighting against my Magikarp and Remoraid. Well, 6 Carvanha were fighting against them, since two had been already knocked out.

The situation looked pretty much under control, the only ones that had a hard fight were Remoraid and Aby who were at the (high) iron stage. The others seed to be quite a bit stronger than their foes, especially Drake who was fighting against 2 Carvanha at once and still had the upper hand.

In under two minutes everyone, except for Remoraid and Aby, kicked their Carvanha's ass even Drake. When it looked like they were going to help those two in their fight I told them telepathically to let them do it on their own.

So, while the two were fighting I approached the knocked-out Carvanha to check their status. Since they were water/dark types I couldn't use my telekinesis on them, which ant I had to directly touch them to check their status.

Exactly because of that, I was currently touching each one knocked out Carvanha while they were unconscious. Of the six I checked the strongest one was at the (mid) bronze stage, while the one with the best potential had only light yellow potential.

None of them were worth capturing and I briefly contemplated finishing them off, since they attacked us to presumably eat us. I an we could either eat them or I could sell their bodies.

Nonetheless, I decided against it. I had no problem with my Pokemon killing their foes during battle if they ca at us with the intent to kill, but I was not comfortable with dealing a delayed finishing blow to opponents that had been rendered unconscious.

In the rush of battle finishing them off after knocking them out was okay, but doing so minutes later really didn't sit right with for now. I didn't know if it would stay like that, but for now, it was like that.

Obviously, that did not an I was going to help them in any way. I was going to leave them like this. If they survived then that's their luck, but if they got killed and eaten by others while they were unconscious then that was their misfortune.

I was in the clear either way, and my conscience was clean. Whatever happened to them was a result of their actions after all. While I was thinking about all that Remoraid and Aby won their fights as well.

I congratulated all of them and thanked them for protecting the raft and us. Naturally, I checked the status of the newly beaten Carvanha as well, and they turned out to be unworthy as well.

Imdiately after I returned to the raft and we went on our way leaving behind 8 unconscious Carvanha. I told Xatu, Pidgey, and Jade what went down underwater and they praised the others as well.

15 minutes later Jade's turn was over, and the hour I had ntioned was up as well. I used my psionic platforms and began moving up to look for any land large enough for us to stop on.

I managed to spot a really small "island". I wasn't really willing to call it an island since it looked less than 2500 m² big, which was like 50 ters in both directions.

Anyway, once I spotted the "island" I went back down and told the others to move in its direction. Xatu as well as Pidgey lifted off, while I walked off the raft and stood on water, before placing it inside my space. Then we all headed toward the "island" where I called the others out as well.

Yes, the reason I decided to stop there was for lunch. We set up our blankets close to the water so that my water Pokemon could participate as well. I gave everyone their food and while we were eating I told them about the Carvanha we encountered just a few monts ago.

After I was done everyone who had not been there praised the fighters who were happy with everyone's praise. I recalled everyone after they had eaten their fill, except for Xatu as well as Pidgey, and checked my compass before we took off in the air.

We spent the rest of the ti I had until I had to return ho for dinner scouring the area, but we saw no Lapras. Once the ti ca, I went down on one of the small "islands" I could see from high above.

I did this so that Xatu could morize its coordinates since I wanted him to return us to this point tomorrow.
