Feraligatr was already burned after receiving that 'Volcanic eruption' and now a purple gas invaded the battlefield.
Feraligatr was not feeling good. Looking at a Pokemon that was 4 tis weak to water type was just an insult. It knew that if it were to lose the battle, then it would never hear an end of it from Wartortle and Staravia.
Wartortle and it were like rivals. Of course, Feraligatr was stronger than it but as both of them were water type Pokemons trained in different ideology, both of them thought that they were better than the other.
anwhile, Staravia was extrely arrogant and even though it was weak, it knew that Staravia was going to mock it. It could not let that happen.
Suddenly, its eyes started to shine with blue eyes. Everyone could see that its eyes had changed color to red and the 'Aqua jet' that was covering its body had started to beco sharper and more powerful.
It had activated 'Torrent'.
This ability would increase the power of water type moves when the health of the user was down to a third.
Since the move was not mastered fully, Feraligatr could not use the move when it wanted. It was just a matter of luck and the god of luck seed to have blessed it.
It's speed so fast that Magcargo could not even see it properly. It went near Magcargo and started to use 'Ice punch' rapidly. It was using all of its focus to freeze Magcargo but since Magcargo's body was hot like a lava, it was difficult to do so.
Magcargo was also not doing very well. It was already hit by 'Hydro pump' before and also 'Screech' which had decreased its defense. So, the punches were doing a lot of damage.
When Magcargo tried to use any of its moves, Feraligatr dodged the attack and proceeded to use its punches. Finally, it used the move 'Ice fang' to Magcargo's neck.
Due to sheer luck, it looked like Magcargo seed to have partially frozen. Ferealigatr then used the move 'Hydro pump' to smash the target.
Magcargo knew that it was going to lose this battle now. The power of 'Torrent' was very high and it could not withstand all those moves. So, it used the move 'Rock blast'. The molten rocks from the move 'Volcanic eruption' ca directly and started to hit Feraligatr.
It was able to dodge so of them but it was still hit by 2 of the 'Rock blast'.

Feraligatr could also tell that it didn't have much ti. Since the move 'Torrent' was very powerful as it not only increased the power of water type moves but also improved its overall stats, after the move was over, Feraligatr would likely lose the battle and the ti was coming near.
So, it decided to risk it. It first used the move 'Waterfall'. A veil of powerful surging water covered its whole body. Then it used 'Liquidation' to further power up the water aura that was covering its body and finally its used 'Aqua jet' mainly focusing on its legs and tail.
SWOOOCHH
The speed of Feraligatr had increased to the limit. It ca near Magcargo and then used the move 'Aqua tail' to smash Magcargo.

The attack caused water ripples and Magcargo was smashed to the ground. Blood started to co out of its body but Feraligatr was not done. It went near Magcargo again and then fired up powerful punches filled with ice.
After a couple of punches, Feraligatr deactivated all of its moves and also 'Torrent' and then it fainted.
Everyone could see that Magcargo had also fainted from all the beatings.
"Both of the Pokemons are down. The gym leader is requested to send out his second Pokemon first.", said Cera.
The battle had ended but Axel was not so happy about it. It was not a draw but a clear loss for Axel. Losing to soone who was 4 tis weak to water was humiliating.
Feraligatr was going to be the dark horse of this gym battle cause it was a water type Pokemon and Axel was challenging a fire type gym. But now, Axel was not so sure that he would win this battle.
Today, Axel realized the power of the system. He lost this battle cause he had not seen the move description of the new move. He realized how weak he really was. All of his winnings were due to the system's powers and without it, he was just nothing.
He needed to increase his experience.
As, Axel was thinking about this, Moriarty took another ball out of his bag and then threw the ball in the air.
It was a bipedal Pokemon that had a red body with yellow fla designs along the bottom half. It had a puckered tan beak, small eyes, and two lumps on its forehead with a yellow fla on top of each one. Rigid, red scales covered its arms and it had five, clawed fingers on each hand. Its shoulders and thighs were yellow, and its red feet had two, clawed toes each. It had black, tal shackles around its neck and ankles. Down its back was a row of red spikes, and there was a fla at the tip of its tapering, yellow tail.
It was Magmar.
The Pokemon looked healthy and it was ready to go. It was a bit larger than a normal Magmar. Its further evolution had yet to be discovered, so Magmar was its final evolution.

The move pool was normal but Axel was not going to relax now. He had to win this battle anyhow and only then could he have a higher chance of winning this battle.
"Co out, Salance!!!", shouted Axel and threw the ball in the air.

Salance ca out with a bang. It was larger than normal Salance and it looked very intimidating.
This was a perfect Pokemon for Magmar. It could fly and dodge a lot of attacks and Magmar was a physical attacker. It also had a lot of defense and health and stamina and it could last more in battle.
Salance was ideal for the second battle as it could change the pace and turn the tables.
But looking at the stats, Salance was obviously weaker than Magmar. Yet, that didn't an that Salance was weak. The body of a dragon-type Pokemon was exceptionally strong.
"Are you both ready for battle?"
"Yes"
"Yes"
"Let the battle Begin!!"
"Salance, use 'Iron defense'"
"Use, 'Substitute' and then 'Sunny day'"
Axel didn't repeat the sa mistake of using a move that would take so ti to activate. He told Salance to use the move 'Iron defense' which was faster than moves like 'Sunny day'.
But Moriarty seed to have already realized this. So, he told Magmar to use 'Substitute' and 'Sunny day' which would take so ti. Axel was frustrated as he was clearly played.
By the ti Magmar could use those moves, Salance also used the move 'Dragon dance' to improve its speed and attack power.
Not taking any ti, it used the move 'Flathrower'.
Magmar also used the sa move and both of the move clashed. Magmar's 'Flathrower' was better than Salance but not so much. Salance was obviously able to dodge it more easily and then it used the move 'Dragon rush'.
The power of the move was high as Salance used a nacing power to charge towards Magmar.
"Magmar, use 'Lava plu'", said Moriarty.
Magmar used the move and the move had even more mastery than Magcargo's 'Lava plu.'
Pillars of lava mixed with fire ca out from multiple places on the ground of the battlefield.
So of them even ca out of just ahead of Magmar where Salance was charging.
Magmar also used the move 'Screech' to Salance which did 2 things. First, it decreased the defense of Salance and also disturbed Salance while charging.
Moriarty felt that with 'Lava Plu' and 'Screech', Magmar would have enough ti to dodge the attack but he was clearly wrong.
Salance's eyes shone in blue light as Magmar felt the full effect of it. This was 'Intimidation' which decreased the attack power and also partially flinched it for a few seconds.
Salance went through multiple pillars of lava and hit Magmar with excessive force.
BANG!!!
The power of the attack was very high. Salance also used the move 'Dragon tail' to hit Magmar and also used 'Flathrower' while Magmar was flying back from the impact and then poof.
That was the substitute.
Axel could clearly tell the difference between the substitute and the original one. So, how did they only hit the substitute?
Then Axel realized that it was all due to 'Lava Plu'. When the pillar of lava and fire blocked the vision of Salance and Axel, Magmar was able to replace itself with the substitute.
"Now use 'Fla armor' and then 'Thunder punch'".
"Salance, why fly in the sky."
But the ti was not with Salance. When it used the move 'Fla aura', a thin fire covered its whole body and it beca more powerful. It sped up high and then jumped and then delivered 'Thunder punch'.
Salance was hit by it but it was able to fly in the sky. It used the move 'Dragon pulse' right now. Magmar. Magmar was not able to dodge the attack and was hit by it.
"Use 'Flare blitz' and then use the move 'Dual wing beat'."
ROOOARR
Salance gave a big roar and then ran towards Magmar. Both of its wings were shining.
Magmar was able to dodge it once but it was not able to dodge another one.
BANG!!!
Axel was surprised cause Magmar imdiately stood up and then used the move 'Brick break' on the neck of Salance and was going to use another thunder punch when sothing amazing happened.
Salance controlled all extra energy that it had on its ridges and then let out a powerful roar.
ROOOARR
This roar looked more primal than before. The result was that, a gush of dragon-type energy covered Salance and all of it rushed outward to attack anyone near it.
Magmar was the pri target as it was near. It flew and crashed to the ground.

After using the roar, it looked like it had beco extra powerful.
"Use, 'Earthquake' and then 'Hurricane'", said Axel.
Salance stumped its legs on the ground and the ground started to shake. Since Magmar was recently hit by the attack, it could not do anything but take the move.
Salance also used the move 'Hurricane' and the cyclone of air started to move towards Magmar.
"Salance, now use 'Dragon dance'", said Axel.
It had only used it one ti and now it was going to use to its full capacity.
As of right now, it could use the move 3 tis. Now, the power and speed of Salance had increased by a lot and the tables have turned.
As the battlefield cleared, Axel saw that lava had covered its whole body and it was glowing. It was using the move 'Lava heal'.
'So, that was why it used the move 'Lava plu' before.', thought Axel cause it looked like, to use the move 'Lava heal', there must be so lava to take the effect.
"Salance, now use 'Thrash'", shouted Axel.
