Nidoran had truly worked hard. That bitch Nidorina had truly hurt its manhood. It was going to grow stronger, evolve and show Nidorina how powerful he could be. anwhile, Axel was pleasantly surprised by Nidoran's dedication. It now worked as hard as Marcus which was surprising. After so thought, Axel concluded that Nidoran had grown up now.
This was the day, Axel thought to evolve Nidoran. Almost all of its stats had increased to S except for sp. defense which was A ranked. At around 1 p.m. in the afternoon, a system notification ca up:

All of Nidoran's stats have reached S rank. The evolution extension condition has been t. Nidoran would evolve in 30 seconds.

When he heard that, Axel took out a long-awaited item called 'Poison barb'. This was a 100 yr old Poison barb given by Mr. Koga as a reward for the Rookie tournant. Mr. Koga had advised Axel to use it when it evolves to Nidorino as its body would be more powerful to hold its power.
However, Axel was going to use it now, not when it evolved to Nidorino but when it was evolving. There were 2 reasons for it. One, Nidoran was more powerful than normal Nidoran as all of its stats were already S ranked. So he thought, Nidoran could hold the power of poison barb.
And second, if Axel used it now when Nidoran was evolving, there would be a certain chance that its potential would increase. Actually, there might be a greater chance now, as Nidoran was serious about its training now, so its comprehension abilities must have improved sohow.
Nidoran took the poison barb with gusto. Nidoran knew Axel had poison barb with him and it was already attracted to it. So it would ask Axel to give the poison barb every day. After 2 months of the constant request, it finally got what it wanted.
This evolution was different from Weedle. Instead of a white glow, it was purple, signifying that it was a poison-type Pokemon. But what Axel failed to understand was, why the glow on Weedle was white instead of green and poison.
The evolution process took more than a minute. The figure inside the glow started to expand. Axel could hear the roars of Nidoran like it was in pain. He never thought that a Pokemon could be in pain while it was evolving. This has not happened to Weedle. A lot of things were different when Nidoran was evolving.
After a minute, the expansion stopped, and so did the purple-colored glow. And a Pokemon ca into view.
It was a light-purple, quadrupedal Pokemon. It had several darker purple patches across its body. It had large, spiny ears with teal insides, narrow black eyes, and a long snout with two pointed teeth protruding from the upper jaw. Nidorino had a ridge of toxic spines on its back and a long pointed horn on its forehead. The horn was harder than a diamond and capable of secreting poison on impact. Its short legs have three claws on each foot.
"Roooarr!!!" With a roar, it announced its presence. The roar was mighty. Axel had finally evolved a Pokemon to Uncommon ranked.
(If a Pokemon uses a stone or any external factors to evolve, then it would an unranked Pokemon without evolving to that stage. Like, Nidorino needs a moonstone to evolve into Nidoking. So, Nidorino itself is an uncommon-ranked Pokemon. This was ntioned in previous Chapters)

A lot of calculation was being done at a very fast pace. However, Axel didn't have ti for this now. He was watching Nidorino with full concentration.
There was an arrogant look when it evolved into Nidorino. Its roar sounded like, it was on top of the food chain. Nidorino was looking at Axel and the team like it was a god and they were mortals.
Axel was disappointed with this. He knew a Pokemon who had just evolved would have so changes in nature. Most of them beco arrogant, or angry or ntally incapable for so ti. So of the Pokemons would change their nature permanently. But he thought Nidorino would be different.
Since, Nidoran was his first Pokemon, and being a Pokemon who had spent most of the ti with Axel, he thought his closeness with it would not change its nature.
Axel ca close to it and said, "I know when a Pokemon evolves, the power during the evolution changes it. But I know you are the sa Nidoran who was playing with and the team yesterday. So co out of it. Marcus, Charmander, Gogoat, and I wish to celebrate this with you."
When those words fell on Nidorino's ears, its face started to change. It ca to realize who they were. It took so ti, but Nidorino finally ca back to normal. It jumped towards Axel to hug him and made Axel fall to the ground and then it started licking Axel's face showing its gratitude.
In the anti, the 3 brothers were shocked. They were not shocked about the purple glow, cause they had expected it. It also was not about Nidorino's change in attitude but it was about its size.
The current Nidorino was more than double the size of the normal Nidorino. A normal Nidorino was 0.9m in height. But Axel's Nidorino was 2m in height. They wanted to ask Axel, how he did it. Because normally a bigger size suggests a more powerful Pokemon.
The group congratulated Axel and then decided that today would be Axel's treat. They didn't even ask Axel about his opinion. But he didn't care. Nidoran was his first Pokemon and now it had evolved. The joy he was feeling right now could not be described in words.
Axel then checked its stats but he was surprised. Nidorino's stats were.....
