If it were up to Axel, he would have called his month, 'the month of evolution and rank up.' Pidgeotto and Venusaur were not the only ones who had advanced. There were another 2 Pokemons that evolved and one of them even ranked up making him very happy.
The Pokemon that had evolved was not from Axel's team. It was actually Dratini or rather Dragonair of his sister Agnes. After Dragonair beca a part of the forest, its stats started to rise rapidly with the help of Axel's talent. Its move mastery also increased and it was now finally able to evolve to Dragonair.
Axel was a little surprised by this developnt. Pseudo-legendary Pokemons and Dragon-type Pokemon take a lot of ti to evolve and Dragonair was both of them. He was starting to realize how aweso his system really was. This made him think if he should get a pseudo-legendary Pokemon.
Agnes was very happy with the evolution of Dragonair. It had beco more powerful than before and she still had 6 years till she started her journey. That gave her a lot of ti to improve herself and her Pokemon.
The evolution of Dragonair created an instant rivalry between it and Pidgeotto. Since Venusaur had just evolved, they were the only Pokemons in a common rank category. Pidgeotto already knew that it would be fighting Dragonair in 'Axel Pokemon competition' after 2 weeks.
Unlike before Axel could see the full stats of Dragonair and he was not very sure who would win in it. Both of them looked very strong for their stage.

The Pokemon that had ranked up was Shedinja. This was no surprise. It was always the first to rank up before Alakazam ca along.
Due to Axel's punishnt, he could not get the rewards when Shedinja reaches King rank. At that ti, he didn't give it much thought but now he was starting to regret it.

When Axel saw its stats, he started to jump in happiness. He started to a cuckoo dance too. His sister and his Pokemon were staring at him with wide eyes.
The reason for his happiness was Shedinja's potential. It had increased from red (advanced) to purple (advanced). It was very rare for Pokemon's potential to improve even while ranking up or evolving.
Due to Axel's talent, it was not hard for Shedinja to improve. However, a good potential did help a lot.
Most of its moves had reached level 39 and 'Shadow ball' had reached level 42
It had learned 3 new moves:- 'Shadow jump', 'Switch' and 'Shadow control'. 'Shadow control' had just been recently learned so it was only level 14.
However, 'Shadow control' was an interesting move. Before it leveled up to 10, Shedinja could only bind the Pokemon with its shadow. However, now it could bind the Pokemon with the surrounding's shadow too making it a lot stronger than before.

The next 2 weeks were insane for Axel's Pokemons. All of them were training their best so that they could win the competition. Pidgeotto, Absol, and Tauros were especially training very hard, way past their limits.
Axel had promised them that they could ask for anything if they win the match and these little kids were serious to win it.
There were so changes in these 2 weeks periods.
Gogoat had finally learned its new move 'Field control'. This was a nice addition to its move pool. It was still not able to max all of its stats to S rank. So, it had not t the condition for rank up.
Nidorino also had learned its new move 'Poison spread'. After learning the move 'Agility' and improving it to level 16, it was finally able to grasp the feeling of infinity energy in its body and was able to replicate it toward the enemy too.
This was a massive improvent for Nidorino. It had not increased its move level to a massive degree or increased its stats but it was finally able to feel and manipulate infinity energy although very little, which elental rank Pokemon would not be able to do.
Now was the ti to improve one of its move levels to 40 and rank it up to pseudo-king. Axel still had not decided which move should it concentrate on first.
The most striking change was of Beedrill. After months of deliberation, concentration and hardwork, it was finally able to increase the level of 'Calm mind' to 40. This had created many changes for it.

This was huge. Except for Alakazam, it was the only Pokemon who had such a high mastery in hidden power typing.
Axel still didn't know what would happen when a Pokemon reaches 100% in hidden power typing mastery but he knew that sothing massive would happen and improve that Pokemon on a fundantal level.
Since the level of 'Calm mind' and 'Minimize' were in 40s, it could now train to improve its passive move 'Resolve' to the next stage.
Axel was also busy with his new brother, school and military training. He was also training himself to get stronger. It was a busy 2 weeks for Axel too and now the battle would begin.
