A month had passed since they started their journey on this unknown island. The Hoenn team was on the opposite side of the forest so they never had a chance to et them. The progress of the Kanto team was massive and a huge part of that progress went to Axel. Now, the team respected Axel even more.
The way Axel trained and the way others trained at first was very different. Axel could be said to be a hard worker and always worked by setting a deadline. However, the rest of the team was relaxed in their training. So, Axel grilled them to train their Pokemon harder. The team was confident to defeat the Hoenn team now.
Piloswine had progressed a lot.

It stats had grown a lot. The percentage of ice core mastery also increased by 10% but there were no huge increases in stats and move level. However, Axel didn't pay it much heed. He was satisfied with Piloswine's progress. Piloswine was the strongest Pokemon compared to his team's catch.
It was a beautiful day. They changed their place every 3 days and battled once a week. Axel never lost a match which showed how powerful Piloswine really was.
Lance's Arcanine finally learned 'Extre speed' yesterday. It also learned other moves to increase its move pool. Lorelai had made the most amount of progress in the Kanto team. She converted a crappy Pokemon with crappy stats to good Pokemon with better-than-average stats. Lyra's Poliwrath and Ryker's Magmar loved to fight with themselves. They were rivals in arms and had improved a lot in this month.
Today was the first day of the next month. The team had planned to gather in the morning to relax. They had been working non-stop for a month and wanted to ease their muscles. Everyone was sipping their tea and taking to their Pokemons when Axel saw a notification.

"WHAT the fuck???" shouted Axel and started running toward Shedinja. Thankfully, it was not far. The rest of the team also started to follow Axel. They were worried seeing Axel's panicked expression. The only reason Axel was panicked right now was the punishnts. Axel was blinded by the system for a month last ti, he didn't want to experience it again.
Axel ca near Shedinja who was already covered in a black-colored glow. The rest of the team also arrived seconds after Axel.
"What is that?" asked Lyra.
"Oh my GOD!!!! It is evolving. It is evolving to elental rank." Shouted Lance with his eyes almost popping up.
"Axel!!! Don't you have ghost-type enhancing items? If you do, now is the ti" shouted Ryker.
Ryker was right. There were nurous ghost-type enhancing items available and the most popular were spell tag. Ghost type enhancing items would help a ghost type Pokemon trendously like what never-lt-ice, an ice type enhancing item did to Piloswine. Using it when a Pokemon is evolving would be optimal as the Pokemon could solidify their evolution faster and could absorb the power of enhancing items more effectively.
Axel went near Shedinja and said "Don't worry Marcus, you are just ranking up. Use this, it would help you" and threw an unknown item toward Shedinja. Shedinja was panicking a little since it didn't know what was happening to it. After hearing Axel it cald down, took the unknown item, and started to concentrate on its evolution.
Axel already had enhancing items for each of his Pokemon that were going to evolve in these 2 months. He had got them from Oak. These were not naturally ford items like never-lt-ice that Piloswine consud. They were artificially made and they were of top quality. However, the effect would not be much better than that of never-lt-ice. Gaining naturally ford items were very rare and Axel didn't have ti to get all those naturally ford items. So, he took artificially made ones from Oak but at a huge price.
The rank-up was not fast as one would normally expect. After so minutes, the black glow started to expand visibly. The team including Axel stepped back. Now, the whole environnt near Shedinja had a dark vibe. Shedinja was the center of that dark vibe. The team could feel spooky and chill all over their body. Axel also didn't know what the hell was happening right now. It was like the sun had disappeared and darkness was all that was left.
"I have seen elental rank up before but this is totally different.", said Ryker.
"What do you an? Is there anything wrong?" asked Axel. He was getting nervous. He had never seen an elental rank up and hearing Ryker made him even more nervous.
"I know for a fact that elental rank up is never bad for a Pokemon so you don't have to worry about it. What I ant was, the rank-up I had seen never had such a huge impact on the environnt. Maybe your Shedinja is much stronger than a normal rare-ranked Pokemon.", replied Ryker.
Axel also had the sa thought. Shedinja had mastered a new move that was completely out of the norm. But Axel's heart was still pounding.
