Beedrill used 'String Shot'. However, it was not directly used on Vileplu. It was on the surrounding near it. It was done for only 1 reason. Vileplu, due to its ability and 'Sunny day' was fast and Axel didn't want to take any risk.
However now, Vileplu was restricted in its movents for bit. It could jump and avoid the string shot near it but Beedrill had done its job of avoiding 'Sleep powder'.
Since 'Sleep powder' was not mastered fully, it had already dispersed in the environnt and was ineffective.
"Beedrill, now start with 'Drill run'"
'Drill run' is a ground-type move and it is super effective against poison types like Vileplu.
"Vileplu, use 'Petal dance'"
'Petal dance' is a signature move of Vileplu. Since the petals of Vileplu can cause sleep, paralysis, and poison, it was very effective against any type of enemy.
But, 'Drill Run' is also considered as the signature move of Beedrill. So, this move clash was going to be exciting.
Petals and 2 Drills of Beedrill clashed but Beedrill overpowered it by a huge margin. This was mainly due to its 'Sword dance' and 'Fell Stinger'. 'Drill run' went and hit the poor Vileplu on its face and it crashed 5 ters away from the impact.
Vileplu was on the ground. Beedrill didn't waste any ti and started to use 'String Shot' on Vileplu. Due to the impact, it took so ti for Vileplu to know where the ground and the sky were positioned. In the anwhile, it was covered in string shot. The speed advantage of Vileplu was already over now.
"Beedrill, ready for another 'Drill run'"
All of them knew that if 'Drill run' hit Vileplu, then the battle was over. But Renee was still calm and didn't show any agitation in the arena.
This made Axel respect her even more. Gym leaders were truly one of their kind.
Beedrill readied its move and charged at a fast speed.
"Vileplu, use 'Solar beam'"
Due to the effect of 'Sunny day', 'Solar beam' didn't need any ti to charge and the move was cast in an instant.
'Solar Beam' and 'Drill run' clashed and this ti, 'Solar beam' ca on top. Beedrill was hit by the beam but most of its power was already reduced due to its clash.
Beedrill was thrown off, from the impact. Renee didn't waste any ti and shouted.
"Vileplu, 'Grassy Terrain' and then finish it off with 'Solar beam'"
The impact of 'Solar beam' gave Vileplu enough ti to cast both of the moves.
"Beedrill, dodge it!!!"
Beedrill tried to dodge the beam but part of the beam still made contact with Beedrill's arms and it was again blasted off from the impact.
This 'Solar beam' was much more powerful than the previous one. It was powered up by 'Grassy Terrain' and this ti, it was not blocked by 'Drill Run'.
Both of them were tired and injured. Vileplu had fired up so massive stamina-consuming moves like 'Petal Blizzard', 'Petal Dance', and 'Solar beam' and it was also hit by 'Drill run'.
Beedrill was also hit by 'Solar beam' 2 tis. During 'Drill run', it had made contact with Vileplu, so it was also affected by sleep, poison and paralysis. The effect was not much but Axel could feel that it was slower than it should have been.
Beedrill slowly stood up with much difficulty and stared right into Vileplu as a mission to complete.
"Oh my god!! It stood up. How much could this Beedrill take?" shouted soone from the crowd.
And then,.....
"Beedrill, finish it up with 'Drill run'" said Axel and it directly hit Vileplu's face.
The result... Vileplu had fainted and was now out of the battle.
"Vileplu is unable to battle, Beedrill wins the battle. The gym leader is requested to call out her last Pokemon."
It must be noted that the stamina of Vileplu was zero. It had used many stamina-consuming moves and was hit by 'Drill run'. Coupled with 'String Shot', it could barely move. Renee had assud that Beedrill would be down after the last 'Solar Beam' but she was mistaken. Infact, everyone in the crowd had the sa thought. There was 1 thing that all of them noticed including Renee was that Axel's Pokemon had an incredible defense.
"Let's finish this, Venusaur!!!" shouted Renee as she threw the master ball.
A large Pokemon ca out. It was quadrupedal with bumpy, blue-green skin. It had small, circular red eyes and a short blunt snout. Its mouth was wide with 2 pointed teeth in the upper jaw and 4 in the lower jaw. On the top of its head were small, pointed ears with reddish pink insides. It had 3 clawed toes on each foot. The bud on its back had blood into a large pink, white-spotted flower. The flower was supported by a thick, brown trunk surrounded by green fronds. The Pokemon was Venusaur.
"Roaarrrrr!!!!" shouted Venusaur announcing its presence. Though it was only a rare-ranked Pokemon, everyone could feel that it was a terrifying Pokemon.

In the stadium,....
"Leader, how do you feel about this Venusaur?" asked Adam
"It has been raised well but it would have grown better if it was in Venu family." Replied Angela.
Adam nodded his head," Axel is going to have a tough battle ahead. I don't even know if he is going to win it"
"Ohh really? I on the other hand feel that we are in for another surprise" said Angela.
"Let's just hope that you are right, leader," said Adam
