Chris took a direct flight to the Sinnoh Region, then traveled onward to Jubilife City.
His plan was to go to Jubilife City and travel back to the ancient Hisui era. If he rembered correctly, a village had already existed at this location two thousand years ago—a settlent called "Jubilife Village." It also served as the central hub in the ga.
When searching for information or investigating sothing, starting from the village would be the most efficient approach.
After completing his Pokemon's treatnt at the Jubilife Village Pokemon Center, Chris spent considerable ti at the PC system computer. Eventually, he transferred his four main Pokemon to his active party: Lugia, Gardevoir, Garchomp, and Shaymin.
He couldn't be certain whether he'd be able to swap Pokemon through the Secret Power base once he arrived in the Hisui Region. Since he'd essentially be isolated in a temporal rift in reality, it made more sense to bring his strongest team mbers from the start.
For the remaining two party slots, Celebi absolutely had to occupy one position—that was non-negotiable. The other slot would go to Shaymin. It was better not to send the little one to the ranch just yet. Chris thought it would be beneficial to train Shaymin if they encountered lower-level wild Pokemon in that era.
After stocking up on plenty of healing dicines and supplies, Chris found a secluded corner away from prying eyes. He opened the Pokemon nu interface, selected Celebi, and initiated the ti travel function.
Imdiately, Celebi materialized before him and created a circular black portal in the air. The ti-traveling Pokemon dove straight into it.
Chris attempted to interact with his character, and a notification prompt instantly appeared on his handheld device screen.
[Do you want to travel to the year 2081? (Plot mode will be activated!)]
"So in the Hisui Region, it'll function like a full-scale real battle," Chris muttered to himself before clicking "Yes."
Everything suddenly went dark around him.
When his vision cleared and the scenery ca back into focus, Chris found himself standing in the middle of a dense forest.
Compared to the world two thousand years in the future, plants in this current era were characterized by wild, untad growth. The vegetation was extraordinarily lush and thick!
The surrounding climate felt sowhat hot and humid, with a warm breeze washing over him.
"Pop! Pop!" Two Poke Balls at Chris's waist opened simultaneously. Gardevoir erged to stand guard protectively, while Shaymin popped out as well.
"Jiu Mi~ (Your adorable companion has appeared!)" Shaymin announced cheerfully.
The little Pokemon quickly scrambled up onto Chris's shoulders, settling there comfortably and looking ready to doze off at any mont.
"Lord ssenger, I must rest for a while," Celebi said weakly, floating unsteadily in mid-air.
It was clear that traveling across such a vast span of two thousand years—even with the assistance of the Adamant Crystal—had been an enormous drain on the Level 98 Celebi's energy reserves.
"Of course, please go inside and rest well," Chris said gently, retrieving a Poke Ball.
Celebi didn't resist at all. While a Poke Ball might serve as a cage for ordinary Pokemon, it had absolutely no binding effect on Celebi whatsoever. Instead, the legendary Pokemon was simply using it as a temporary resting place that Chris could conveniently carry with him at all tis.
After recalling Celebi to its ball, Chris began observing his surroundings carefully. With so many towering trees and completely uncultivated woodland stretching in every direction, this obviously wasn't Jubilife Village.
"So the pinpoint landing failed?" Chris wondered aloud.
He wasn't particularly surprised by this developnt. Modern Jubilife City was much larger than ancient Jubilife Village, and it wasn't necessarily built on the exact sa site as the original settlent.
Even if he hadn't landed directly at the village, though, it shouldn't be too far away.
"Gardevoir, conduct so reconnaissance," Chris ordered out of habit.
"Nai~" Gardevoir extended both hands and began spreading waves of psychic energy outward to explore the surrounding area.
However, before Gardevoir could fully construct a ntal map of the surroundings and relay it back to Chris, he heard the roar of a Pokemon and aggressive sounds coming from sowhere in the distance.
"SNORLAX!"
"Pikachu, use Thunder Wave!"
"Pika-CHU!!!"
"Let's go check it out," Chris said, moving toward the source of the sounds.
After walking more than a hundred ters and weaving around several massive trees, they erged onto a sandy beach.
On the beach, a three-story-tall Snorlax was engaged in fierce combat with a Pikachu.
Snorlax attacked aggressively and relentlessly, throwing punches with a ferocious expression on its face. One powerful strike followed another, as though it were treating Pikachu as a mortal enemy it intended to destroy.
Pikachu looked rather desperate in this situation. Facing Snorlax's overwhelming offensive assault, the Electric-type could only rely on its superior speed to dodge frantically, unable to find any opening for a proper counterattack.
Pikachu's Trainer stood so distance away—a girl wearing thick blue clothing, straw sandals on her feet, and a white cloth wrapped around her head like a headband.
However, their current situation didn't look good at all.
Snorlax had effectively trapped both Pikachu and the girl at the edge of the beach. Behind the girl lay nothing but open ocean. If she took just a few more steps backward, she'd end up in the water.
If the girl could swim, that might not be fatal. But if Pikachu was forced to retreat into the shallow water and then used an Electric-type move, the girl would likely be electrocuted—shocked on the outside and cooked on the inside—regardless of her swimming ability.
"Garchomp, use Dragon Rush!" Chris ordered decisively, taking imdiate action.
He threw a Poke Ball high into the air. The next second, a massive dragon wreathed in dark green flas descended from the sky, charging forward with teor-like speed.
Moving with lightning-fast precision, it slamd directly into Snorlax.
"SNORLAX!" the Normal-type Pokemon wailed as it collapsed weakly to the ground.
Garchomp planted one clawed foot firmly on Snorlax's body, wearing a fierce expression that dared the defeated Pokemon to try getting up.
The girl and Pikachu stared at the sudden change before them in complete shock. Before they could fully process what had just happened to Snorlax, they watched as a red and white sphere sailed through the air and struck the fallen Pokemon.
Snorlax's enormous body was imdiately absorbed into the Poke Ball in a flash of red light.
"Are you alright?"
Shortly after, the girl noticed a young man wearing unusual clothing approaching them. The ferocious Garchomp that had just defeated Snorlax in a single devastating blow now followed behind the young man obediently like a well-trained companion.
"I-I'm fine," the girl replied quickly, waving her hands. "Um, excuse , but who are you?"
"I'm a traveler from another continent. My na is Chris," Chris introduced himself. He figured the girl probably wouldn't understand if he explained that he ca from two thousand years in the future, but she should at least understand the concept of other continents.
Whether it was the Diamond Clan, the Pearl Clan, or the Galaxy Team—the major force in Jubilife Village—none of them were originally from this land. They had all co from other continents across the sea.
"And you are?"
"Oh, I'm Akari, an investigator with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps in Jubilife Village," the girl introduced herself. "Thank you so much for helping . Otherwise, I might have actually died here today."
"Akari?" Chris repeated, surprised.
"What's wrong? Is sothing the matter?"
"Nothing, you just reminded of an old friend," Chris said, waving his hand dismissively.
If he rembered correctly, in the ga "Pokemon Legends: Arceus" that he'd played before being transported to this world, the protagonist's partner had been nad Akari.
She was also a mber of the Galaxy Team, so this had to be the sa person.
It seed he was quite fortunate—he'd t one of the main characters almost imdiately upon arrival.
"By the way, could you possibly take to Jubilife Village? I'd very much like to visit your settlent."
"Of course! Please follow ," Akari replied with a friendly smile.
