"I have defeated Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres—who possess the Father God's power as the Gods of Thunder, Ice, and Fire—but they don't seem to be Kings."

Rather than continuing to speculate on his own, it would be better to ask Xerneas directly. After all, this was a Legendary Pokémon that had existed from ancient tis to the present day.

"They were created by the Father God to incarnate the laws of this world. Naturally, they are not Kings."

"Only ordinary creatures born with mortal bodies and chosen by the Father God can be called Kings," Xerneas explained thoroughly.

Chris's confusion diminished considerably.

No wonder Legendary Pokémon were inherently stronger than ordinary Pokémon. It turned out they were designed from the very beginning to manage the fundantal laws of the world on Arceus's behalf.

Only ordinary Pokémon could beco Kings.

This explanation clarified why Gengar and Zoroark were Kings, while the Legendary Bird Trio were not.

However, another problem remained.

"Will a King definitely possess the Father God's power?" Chris's Gengar and Zoroark didn't have Divine Treasures.

"Of course. This is also the proof that they were chosen to beco Kings."

Xerneas continued its explanation.

"However, the Father God has not manifested in this world for a very long ti, so gradually many Kings have forgotten their identities, and the Divine Treasures granted to them by the Father God have also been lost."

Not lost, exactly.

Chris's own Gengar and Zoroark simply didn't possess the Divine Treasures they should rightfully have.

While Chris conversed with Xerneas, its kin—the Gardevoir—had already arrived before them.

"So, is this kin of yours a King?" Chris returned to his original question.

"Yes," Xerneas nodded in confirmation.

Chris added, "I've heard that as long as I defeat her, my Gardevoir can beco the new King?"

"Naturally. The existence of a King must represent the strongest mber of their species. If your Gardevoir can defeat her in a one-on-one battle, she will naturally be recognized by the Father God as the new King!"

Perfect.

Chris raised his eyebrows with satisfaction. "That's precisely why I'm here. I wonder if your kin is willing to battle with my Gardevoir?"

Xerneas raised no objections, but stated, "The throne represents the pride of a King. She cannot refuse challenges from powerful mbers of the sa species, and your companion is indeed qualified to challenge her."

Having said that, Xerneas had already stepped aside to stand at a distance.

"I am willing to serve as witness to this battle for the throne!"

As the dependent, the Gardevoir Queen didn't fully comprehend what had transpired, but after listening to Xerneas's words, she understood that this powerful individual before her—who looked quite different from herself yet was still a mber of her species—wanted to issue a challenge.

As the most powerful "King," Gardevoir would not refuse challengers, just as Xerneas had stated.

"Gar!" The Gardevoir Queen raised her hand and teleported instantly to create distance.

A hundred ters away, she stood ready for battle.

Chris looked at his ga Gardevoir.

"Are you prepared to beco the new Queen of the Gardevoir species?"

"Gar~" ga Gardevoir gazed at the Gardevoir Queen. She had no particular interest in the title of Queen, but since this was her Trainer's wish, she would fight with everything she had to achieve it!

My apologies, forr Queen—from now on, only I can sit upon the Queen's throne.

ga Gardevoir surged with psychic energy, and Confusion began running rampant, as if her fighting spirit was rising to its peak.

"By the way, am I allowed to give commands?" Chris asked Xerneas, rembering that its requirent had been for a one-on-one battle, and he wondered whether he as a Trainer was included in that calculation.

Xerneas shook its head slightly.

Chris shrugged helplessly. It seed he could only serve as a spectator. He walked toward Xerneas to observe, but... Gardevoir did not cancel her GA Evolution.

The Gardevoir Queen stood opposite ga Gardevoir.

The battle was about to comnce.

"BOOM!"

The space between the two Pokémon suddenly trembled and vibrated, like rain striking water's surface, creating countless ripples that spread outward.

Wave after wave, one collision after another.

The battle had begun, using psychic power invisible to the naked eye as their primary thod of attack.

However, Chris's Clairvoyant's Eye ability allowed him to perceive psychic energy clearly.

The Gardevoir King raised her hand, using ntal power to construct chains that stabbed toward ga Gardevoir from countless directions simultaneously.

ga Gardevoir, in response, unleashed massive waves of overwhelming psychic power, pushing forward horizontally in an attempt to overpower her opponent through sheer force.

However, the collision of psychic powers remained evenly matched.

"Gardevoir needs to maintain Calm Mind and refine her control over Future Sight and Teleport better."

"Although her psychic power and physical strength have improved dramatically, her psychic control still falls short compared to her opponent."

It was rare to encounter such an excellent rival. Chris began analyzing the areas where his Gardevoir was inferior to her opponent.

He would conduct specialized training once the battle concluded.

However, the Gardevoir Queen didn't seem satisfied with rely remaining evenly matched with ga Gardevoir.

Suddenly, the Gardevoir Queen raised her hand and gestured.

Her figure vanished from her position.

She instantly reappeared mid-air, with the brilliant white full moon positioned behind her. She raised both hands, and her body began swaying, exactly like in the video Chris had watched before arriving.

The Gardevoir Queen was preparing to dance and summon forth the power of the entire world.

Unlike watching the video, Chris could now witness it with his own eyes and genuinely feel the changes in surrounding energy.

Chris suddenly understood why the Gardevoir Queen's dance could cause the entire forest to dance alongside her.

When pink radiance identical to Xerneas's aura covered the desolate land, life burst forth explosively.

Seeds hidden beneath the earth erupted from the ground and grew wildly.

Even the full moon soaring in the sky shone as brilliantly as the sun in that mont!

Being Xerneas's kin wasn't rely an empty title.

The Gardevoir Queen actually possessed Xerneas's "Fairy Aura," and it clearly wasn't an ordinary Fairy Aura, but rather an authentic Fairy Aura brimming with abundant life force.

With this trendous power, the Gardevoir Queen descended from the sky, crashing toward ga Gardevoir with endless Moonblast energy and vitality.

Just as ga Gardevoir had done previously, she intended to overwhelm her opponent with pure force.

Chris observed his ga Gardevoir closely—how would she respond?

He witnessed ga Gardevoir's beautiful face gazing coldly at the Gardevoir Queen, her eyes glowing with pale purple light.

That was the effect of "Future Sight"—peering into the future with her eyes!

All your attacks have been detected by , without exception, within the future I can perceive.

This ends now.

ga Gardevoir extended her hand and tapped the air lightly, causing ripples to spread outward.

The world itself seed to pause.

"Moonblast."

Placing both hands before her chest, ga Gardevoir manifested a mirror between her palms that reflected the full moon in the sky.

"BOOM!"

A Moonlight beam so brilliant it could destroy everything condensed into a sharp arrow that burst forth from the mirror, shooting directly toward the Gardevoir Queen.
