"Huh?" Chris felt a mont of confusion.

The bond between himself and ga Garchomp had suddenly vanished.

More precisely, he could no longer sense ga Garchomp's location. The GA evolution should have been forcibly cancelled by now.

This was highly unusual.

The bond between Trainer and Pokémon couldn't be broken - no matter how far apart they were, the connection remained. Even at its weakest, so trace could always be felt.

Currently, the bond still existed but seed blocked sohow. Additionally, Gardevoir, whom Chris had released earlier, telepathically inford him that sothing was specifically interfering with her psychic abilities.

"This Mist... interesting," Chris mused, stroking his chin.

"Hurricane!"

Red Gyarados had already taken to the sky, its roar echoing powerfully.

Several tornadoes rose from the island, advancing with trendous force to disperse the obscuring smoke.

But before the Hurricane could clear the mist, a swift figure burst from the haze.

It was Lucario, moving like wind itself, wielding a silver-white energy Bone Rush. It struck left and right with fluid motions, shattering a tornado with a casual wave.

While falling from mid-air, it gathered two Aura Spheres in both hands, combining them to create a massive sphere that launched directly toward Chris himself.

That looks just like the Kahaha wave!

"Combining Aura Spheres? That's certainly an effective technique," Chris comnted. He had his own research into Aura power.

A Poké Ball flew from Chris's hand.

Greninja entered the battle!

The mont it appeared, surrounding water erupted in waves. Flying-type shuriken materialized behind its back as it transford from its normal form to "Chris Bond" appearance.

Aura Spheres condensed in its hands, each one larger than what Lucario had created with both hands combined.

Greninja's mastery of Aura techniques had reached extraordinary heights.

This wasn't surprising - Greninja had spent considerable ti imrsed in the Aura Secret Realm. Originally, w had been in Green Valley, but with extended school commitnts during the New Year period, Chris had brought them along.

"Spiral Aura Sphere!" both trainers called out simultaneously.

A spiraling Aura Sphere collided with Lucario's attack and exploded.

Another Aura Sphere quickly pursued into the smoke, continuing the chase. Greninja tensed its legs and drew a brilliant light blade, planning to attack from another angle in a pincer movent.

Whether Lucario survived or not, Chris had no ti to monitor the situation.

Directly ahead, through the mist, a large dark shape beca clearer. Within monts, what resembled a small mountain charged toward him.

Mamoswine was using Take Down! It felt like a tank accelerating at full speed!

Gardevoir attempted to teleport Chris imdiately, but before she could act, a ga Gallade with a flowing cape appeared, manipulating Psycho Cut to interfere with teleportation.

Gardevoir quickly redirected her Psychic power to resist, telepathically warning Chris that Gallade was disrupting her precognition abilities.

While not completely blocked, the interference could cause problems.

"The remnants of the previous era shouldn't be underestimated," Chris said with a slight smile.

Being able to temporarily contain and resist his Pokémon enhanced by Legendary abilities ant Victor's team was either extrely high-level - reaching level 90 or above - or enhanced by Legendary-grade items.

That made sense. They were both Elite Four mbers. If Chris could obtain Legendary-level items in the real world, Victor - with thirty to forty years at his peak - certainly had his own trump cards and resources.

Facing Mamoswine's imminent charge, Chris drew two Poké Balls simultaneously.

"Wobbuffet, Counter!"

"Zeraora, Plasma Fists!"

"Wooooob-buffet!" the courteous Pokémon erged, saluting before anything else.

Using its own body as a shield, it intercepted Mamoswine's Take Down.

"BOOM!" The massive pig crashed into what seed like an immovable tree - tank eting mountain.

Despite Mamoswine's trendous impact lifting its hind legs off the ground, Wobbuffet remained perfectly still, squinting peacefully while maintaining its salute.

The attack was stopped, but there was another dark shadow in the mist - this one far larger than Mamoswine. Looking up at this towering presence felt like standing at the base of a famous mountain shrouded in clouds.

When the figure stepped from the mist, pure Z-Crystal energy surged forth.

Victor was using a Z-Move.

A Totem Hariyama had unleashed "All-Out Pumling."

Chris sent Zeraora to intercept it. Although normal vision couldn't penetrate the strange mist, its effects were still apparent. Before Totem Hariyama fully erged from the haze, the approaching dark shadow was clearly visible.

In addition to releasing his Pokémon, Chris activated a Z-Crystal on his Z-Power Ring.

Coincidentally, he was also using "All-Out Pumling!"

Zeraora's base move for All-Out Pumling was Dynamic Punch. The Totem's foundation move remained unknown.

Fist t fist as power exploded in the confined space.

Even the Totem Hariyama couldn't overpower Zeraora through raw strength alone.

"Your movents are a bit slow, old man," Chris suddenly called into the mist during the chaotic Pokémon battle.

Within the haze, a dark shadow gradually solidified in the pure white expanse. The figure beca clearer as Victor stepped forward, still holding his pipe.

"You already knew I'd co in person?" Victor asked calmly, taking another puff.

"You deployed all six Pokémon to attack so quickly - obviously to pin down my team so you could face one-on-one," Chris replied with a smile. He had noticed Victor's intention and deliberately allowed it, releasing his Pokémon as expected.

This gave Victor the opportunity to make his personal appearance.

"How bold! Knowing my intentions, you still played along. You must be very confident in your combat skills," Victor said with a bright grin. However, his aged, wrinkled skin made the expression appear sowhat ghoulish.

Putting away his pipe, Victor clenched both fists. His strength, fighting spirit, and Aura power radiated outward - this was his combat stance.

Chris remained calm and composed, adopting no particular fighting posture. He declared loudly, "It's not about confidence - it's simply that in this world, when it cos to personal combat, no one is my equal!"
