Deep in the lowest level of Sea Mauville lay the research laboratory.
Dim lighting cast an eerie atmosphere throughout the room.
At the very center of the laboratory, within a massive containnt chamber, a colossal beast with wings vast enough to embrace the entire sky was curled up like an infant, its arms wrapped around itself in a protective embrace.
Before this magnificent creature, a girl wearing a white lab coat and sporting long purple twin ponytails gazed at the beast with fanatical obsession.
"Just a little more, just a little more, and my ultimate Pokemon will finally be born!"
Lovrina could already envision how magnificent it would look soaring through the heavens. "When that ti cos, I'll strike back and show that person what real power looks like!"
"Pokemon Trainer intrusion detected," the computer suddenly announced with alarm.
"Intrusion?" Lovrina frowned slightly. "Deploy the other Pokemon to intercept first!"
"Issuing interception commands..."
Before the chanical voice finished speaking, the ceiling above the laboratory entrance suddenly exploded. A ferocious giant descended through the debris and rubble, its powerful winds tearing the surrounding walls to pieces.
"GARCH!"
ga Garchomp's dragon eyes imdiately locked onto Lovrina.
Then, the handso young trainer Chris and his elegant Gardevoir appeared through teleportation.
"Interception failed... failed," the computer stated the obvious reality.
"Damn it!" Lovrina gritted her teeth in frustration.
"Shadow Lugia?!" Chris spotted the massive beast at the laboratory's center imdiately.
It was a pitch-black Lugia sleeping within the containnt chamber.
He never imagined he would encounter Lugia, the legendary guardian of the seas, here. And it was corrupted into a Shadow Pokemon.
"Who are you?" Lovrina demanded, eyeing Chris warily.
"I should be asking you that question. This is the Hoenn Region, and you're here creating Shadow Pokemon—which are banned by the Pokemon League!" Chris studied the girl before him.
If he wasn't mistaken, this should be "Lovrina" from the "Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness" ga.
But wasn't Lovrina supposed to be in the Orre Region?
How had she appeared in Hoenn?
"So you're an investigator from the Hoenn League," Lovrina sneered coldly. There was no need for further discussion—she imdiately called for backup.
"Dragonite, eliminate him!"
A massive Shadow Dragonite erged from the laboratory's shadows, shrouded in thick darkness, and launched a direct assault on Chris.
"Ah? So it really is that sa group." Seeing the Shadow Dragonite, Chris could definitively confirm that Lovrina was the mastermind behind the Shadow Pokemon he had encountered and repelled multiple tis before.
He issued his command calmly.
"Garchomp, Dragon Claw!"
ga Garchomp imdiately unleashed its savage aura, both Dragon Claws covered in thick dark-green energy that resembled scythes in Death's hands.
"BOOM!"
The two dragons collided mid-air, their violent energies clashing before erupting in an explosion.
The trendous force imdiately sent both dragons flying apart.
However, neither intended to cease their offensive.
The Shadow Dragonite used its powerful legs to carve deep grooves in the ground as it slowed its montum, then beat its wings and charged forward again through the smoke.
"Dragon Rush!" Chris called out additional instructions.
After being knocked back, ga Garchomp had no intention of slowing down. With a small leap, it launched into the air and flew backward, then suddenly dove downward.
Descending from above with "Aerial Ace" precision.
Simultaneously, it perford graceful movents resembling a butterfly dance, completing a "Dragon Dance" enhancent.
This was a technique Chris had learned from observing other skilled trainers.
By combining movent and moves, once sufficient proficiency was achieved, it didn't matter which motions were used to execute techniques—what mattered was achieving the desired effect.
The ga Garchomp that completed Dragon Dance landed perfectly, flying close to the ground with dramatically increased speed. Not only had Dragon Dance taken effect, but Quick Attack had also activated.
Two enormous scythes rested against its chest, its entire body burning with dark-green Dragon-type energy.
The magnificent charging form resembled a high-powered motorcycle engulfed in flas.
"BOOM!" Another collision echoed, but this ti the sound was much sharper.
Through the explosion's smoke, the dark-green juggernaut burst through, sending the corpulent Shadow Dragonite's body crashing directly into the research room's wall.
The walls cracked apart, and water began seeping through the fissures.
Lovrina watched this scene in shock.
Her Dragonite had been taken from a Champion trainer. Originally possessing Champion-level ace Pokemon strength, after Shadow Pokemon transformation, its power had reached even greater heights. While perhaps not invincible, it had never t its match until now.
Yet here it was being overwheld by a Hoenn League investigator who had suddenly appeared.
"You're not just an investigator from the Hoenn Region..." Lovrina realized.
Chris pointed to the Champion cape on his back and shrugged helplessly.
"I never said I was an investigator. I'm just the Hoenn Region Champion."
"Just the Champion?" Lovrina looked at the young man who seed to be showing off before her, really wanting to ask what more he could possibly want.
"Champion, huh? Perfect timing—you can help test the power of my ultimate Shadow Pokemon!" Lovrina imdiately rushed to operate the computer.
Countless air bubbles suddenly began rising within Shadow Lugia's containnt chamber.
She was attempting to awaken the slumbering Shadow Lugia.
Chris raised his eyebrows and hurriedly ordered an intervention.
"Gardevoir, Hypnosis!"
Gardevoir imdiately underwent ga Evolution while extending its psychic power to hypnotize Lovrina.
However, a Shadow Malamar, also corrupted by darkness, positioned itself in front of Lovrina.
With its Dark typing, it was completely immune to ga Gardevoir's Hypnosis and counterattacked with "Shadow Fire."
ga Gardevoir waved its hand to block the attacks with Light Screen and prepared to attack again, but it was already too late.
The containnt chamber filled with countless bubbles gradually began draining its fluid. The giant beast within suddenly opened its eyes, revealing a blood-red glow, and an invisible dark aura gradually ford around it. The terrifying oppressive presence approached steadily.
From distant to imdiate, it rolled forward like an unstoppable steamroller.
"ROOOAR!" With a thunderous roar, darkness spread like storm clouds across the sky as massive wings unfurled.
"CRASH!" The containnt chamber shattered, splashing blue liquid everywhere.
The Ultimate Shadow Pokemon, Shadow Lugia, had awakened!
