After being blasted off, Team Rocket found themselves in an unknown place. Now, the trio was resting under a large tree.
They were resting because Jas's Chicho was unexpectedly sick!
"Hang in there, Chicho! You'll be okay. It's all my fault… I didn't take good care of you…"
Looking at Chicho, weak and unwell, Jas was heartbroken.
His sadness made Jessie and owth feel uncomfortable watching him.
"No, I have to get Chicho to a Pokémon Center! But we're deep in the mountains; there's no Pokémon Center here! Why now, of all tis…"
Jas carefully picked up his sick Chicho, who looked pitiful.
Suddenly, Jas's gaze fell on a grand mansion in the distance.
"Could it be… one of my family's villas? That's right! The caretakers there are excellent at taking care of sick Pokémon! Chicho is saved!"
Without hesitation, Jas ran toward the distant villa with Chicho in his arms.
Jessie and owth, confused, could only follow him.
Inside the mansion, Jas handed Chicho over to the caretakers. Only then did he explain the situation to Jessie and owth.
"I never expected Jas's family to have a property in the middle of these mountains! This place is so huge; I thought it was a castle, not a villa…"
owth looked at Jas in surprise.
"Yeah, Jas, I didn't know your family was so rich! And with such kind caretakers… You're so lucky," Jessie said, looking at Jas with envy.
Jas then shared his childhood experiences with his two companions. At that mont, the door to the room opened, and soone entered.
To their shock, it was Ash and his friends!
"You little brats! Fancy running into you here… just perfect…" Jessie sneered.
"Wait! Jessie, this is one of the caretakers' favorite places, and I won't let anyone cause trouble here. Let's call a truce with the twerps today. My Chicho is sick, and I'm in no mood to fight…"
Jas quickly stopped Jessie.
As the two groups talked, they realized that May's Munchlax was also sick and being cared for by the villa's caretakers.
But Ash suspected that once night fell, Jessie and owth would be unable to resist sneaking around to capture the Pokémon in the villa.
And sure enough, as soon as Ash and his friends left, Jessie and owth exchanged a wicked grin.
Later that night, May, unable to sleep due to worry about Munchlax, decided to check on her Pokémon.
As she passed Ash's room, she noticed the door was open, and Ash wasn't inside.
"Where did Ash go?" she wondered.
Following her curiosity, May approached Munchlax's room, only to find Ash facing off against Jessie and owth.
"Jessie, owth! Jas is your teammate! How could you betray him like this? It's disgraceful!"
In the ani, Ash thinks that Jas isn't truly bad at heart; he joined Team Rocket to escape a stifling life and gain freedom, though his nature prevents him from ever fully embracing a life of wrongdoing. Jessie, on the other hand, is sotis innocent but often exasperatingly hopeless!
"Hmph! How could we be Team Rocket if we didn't do bad things? We're destined to be future high-ranking mbers! Seviper, give that twerp a good lesson!"
"Seviper, hisss!"
But Pikachu, who had been standing on Ash's shoulder, had already leaped down, sparks crackling on its cheeks as it glared at Seviper.
"Pika~~Chuu!"
"Aren't you ashad, betraying your teammate like that? And Munchlax is May's dear companion! There's no way I'll let you get away with this. Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
"Seviper, dodge and use Poison Tail!"
Jessie, refusing to back down, commanded Seviper to counter Pikachu's attack.
Seviper narrowly avoided the Thunderbolt.
"Full force, Pikachu! Use Iron Tail!"
Poison Tail and Iron Tail clashed, but Poison Tail was no match! Pikachu's Iron Tail sent Seviper flying, crashing into Jessie and owth.
Then Pikachu shocked them with another electric attack.
Jessie and owth, covered in soot, fled in defeat.
This Seviper from Team Rocket didn't yield any battle experience, possibly due to the large level difference or being defeated too many tis!
Ash shook his head and prepared to leave, but then he noticed May standing nearby, gazing at him with wide eyes. Suddenly, she stepped forward and hugged him!
"Ash, thank you!"
Had she not been worried about Munchlax, she wouldn't have known Ash had done this for her.
"Pika? Pika!" Pikachu quickly turned its head, not wanting to see anything it shouldn't.
