Injured badly, Alakazam struggled to stand, weakly lifting its gaze toward its silver-colored counterpart above, admiring the overwhelming psychic power that radiated from the shining Alakazam's imposing presence.

(When will I… ever possess such power?)

Fortunately, Gary's Alakazam had been well-educated and did not discriminate against any Shiny Pokémon; otherwise, its fate would have been uncertain.

"Your talent and abilities are simply too diocre…"

The shiny Alakazam hovered calmly, looking down on its fallen kin below with a hint of disappointnt. It never expected its opponent's capability to be so limited—not even enough to warm it up.

Having endured a childhood abandoned by its own kind, the shiny Alakazam felt little kinship with others of its species, but had not developed hatred.

Perhaps it was because of this tragic past that it had grown so powerful.

Since absorbing the power of the ancient sealing laws, shiny Alakazam's strength improved significantly. It had gradually mastered controlling the power of these sealing laws and no longer collapsed weakly after releasing a few Psychic Shock moves as it once did.

"Alakazam, don't lose heart. Use Recover now," Gary ordered.

Alakazam's body suddenly radiated white light as its injuries healed. Its vitality restored, it stood taller and ready once more.

"You're not going to stop it? That's strange…" Gary said in confusion.

He had only expected partial recovery for Alakazam, but never thought the shiny Alakazam would just ignore it and watch the recovery happen unimpeded.

"Alakazam, use Psychic now."

Hearing Gary's command, Alakazam crossed its spoons, and its eyes glowed deep blue as it unleashed great psychic power, intending to hold shiny Alakazam still.

(Is that all? What a disappointnt…)

Feeling the psychic binding, shiny Alakazam revealed a disappointed expression, clearly looking down on this limited ntal power.

(Fragile and ordinary as always…)

"Psychic Shock."

To the astonishnt of Gary and his Alakazam, the shiny one casually broke all psychic bonds with a wave of its spoons. It then launched a solid psychic wave right at Gary's Alakazam.

"Alakazam, use Teleport imdiately to evade!"

Gary urged anxiously, shocked that the power gap between the two Alakazam was so wide. The shiny Alakazam had dispelled all the psychic binding attempts in an instant.

"Boom!"

The solid psychic wave slamd into the original Alakazam's previous position, gouging a deep, bottomless crater—testant to the terrifying power of its psychic energy.

Psychic Shock is a move whose damage grows as the user's psychic power strengthens.

"Alakazam, predict its new position and use Shadow Ball."

Red ordered.

Shiny Alakazam looked down at the original Alakazam's evasive maneuvers with disdain.

It quickly analyzed Alakazam's next move and then crossed its spoons, releasing a powerful Shadow Ball.

Alakazam teleported to a new position but was instantly struck by the large Shadow Ball, which ca too quickly to dodge again.

"Boom!"

The super-effective Shadow Ball forced Alakazam to grimace under its pressure. Fortunately, Alakazam used an Energy Ball to counter part of the damage.

"Use Psybeam," Red said calmly.

(Ordinary people, let yourself drown in this inescapable illusion!)

At that mont, shiny Alakazam crossed its spoons and fired a mystical beam at the original Alakazam.

"Alakazam, dodge now!" Gary hurriedly warned.

Although Gary warned in ti, it was too late.

Alakazam took the full brunt of the Mirage Beam, and its brain was overwheld by the psychic invasion, falling into a state of confusion.

"It looks like there's no way to resist…" Gary said helplessly, lowering his head.

"Release Shadow Ball again," Red ordered.

Shiny Alakazam created three Shadow Balls out of thin air, launching them continuously toward the struggling Alakazam below.

"Boom!"

Alakazam suffered from the consecutive hits, collapsing heavily and unable to continue battling.

"Alakazam is unable to battle!" The referee announced.

Gary covered his forehead in frustration before withdrawing his fallen Alakazam.

"For the last one, I'm counting on my first partner!"

After a brief mont's thought, Gary shouted and threw his last Poké Ball, releasing his Blastoise.

Scyther was almost exhausted, so Gary's only remaining fighting hope was Blastoise.

The attentive crowd imdiately focused their attention on the new arrival.

White light dispersed, revealing the well-built Blastoise with its two massive cannons.

"Ka!"

Knowing it was Gary's last hope, Blastoise tensed its muscles, roaring fiercely at the Alakazam above, demanding it descend from the sky.

(What a foolish creature, resorting to such cheap provocations…)

Alakazam sneered but respected Blastoise's challenge. It teleported to the ground, locking eyes with Blastoise's fiery fighting spirit.

"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"

Blastoise opened its cannons and blasted a fierce torrent of water, forming a massive water pillar that shot relentlessly at Alakazam.

Alakazam smirked at the incoming Hydro Pump. When the water struck, it teleported nimbly, effortlessly evading the attack.

"Blastoise, watch for sudden disappearances, use Rapid Spin in place!"

Gary imdiately instructed.

"Vroom!"

Just as predicted, Alakazam suddenly appeared behind Blastoise. Gathering an energy ball, it prepared to launch a sneak attack.

Fortunately, Blastoise had heard Gary's warning. It quickly withdrew into its shell and spun rapidly, using Rapid Spin on the spot.

Thanks to its sturdy shell, Blastoise minimized much of the energy ball's damage, avoiding full exhaustion.

"Good command," Red nodded in approval.
