Chapter 829: Ninetales vs ga Altaria

Lisia’s advancent confird the two finalists.

"So in the end, it’s a showdown between Terrance and Lisia?"

Quite a few people found this final matchup very interesting. No matter who won, it would be a result the audience was happy to see.

But as the parties involved, Terrance and Lisia felt quite differently.

There was no need to ntion Lisia’s side. As for Terrance, watching the final matchup displayed on the big screen, he wasn’t particularly surprised. The mont he saw Lisia’s ga Altaria, he had already guessed this outco.

That ga Altaria was very strong. Although it still hadn’t surpassed Ninetales, it was already extrely close.

"ga Evolution items... did she obtain it herself, or was it given to her by soone else..." Terrance couldn’t help but feel a slight twinge of envy. For a rookie to get their hands on sothing so ga-changing, it seed a bit like forcing growth prematurely. Still, given Lisia’s mindset, she was probably quite ecstatic about it.

ga Evolution allowed Altaria, whose foundation was inferior to Ninetales, to catch up in strength! Even if Terrance wanted to win, he would have to reveal a couple of his trump cards.

"The upcoming final... is really sothing to look forward to."

Raoul Contesta, Mr. Sukizo, and Nurse Joy sat side by side, their eyes fixed intently on the stage.

Once the finalists were announced, the lights in the venue grew even more dazzling. Amid the enthusiastic cheers of the audience, Top Coordinator Supernova Terrance and Hoenn’s super-popular idol Lisia slowly ascended the main stage from opposite sides.

"OK, intermission’s over! Up next is the long-awaited ultimate showdown!!!" Vivian tossed the microphone, struck a stylish pose, then caught the falling mic again and shouted passionately.

"The clash between the new and the old—how will it end?! Let’s wait and see!" Lilian was no less eager, voicing the question everyone was curious about.

Would the championship go to Lisia, who could be called the strongest rookie in history, or to Terrance, whose reputation had long spread throughout the coordinator scene... The two announcers firmly focused on this core point, continuously stirring up the audience’s anticipation.

As the countdown on the big screen began, Terrance and Lisia simultaneously threw their Poké Balls.

Neither of them spoke. To the audience, their expressions were frighteningly calm, as if they were silently building up toward an epic showdown.

"Baby-Doll Eyes!"

As the countdown ended, the match officially began. With a single command from Terrance, Ninetales released a powerful ntal pressure toward Altaria.

Based on prior battle experience, ordinary Pokémon that were affected by Baby-Doll Eyes would lose their fighting spirit for a short ti. In a match like this, those few seconds alone could decide the outco.

Watching Ninetales’ eyes gleam with a strange light, the audience held their breath and looked toward Altaria...

Suddenly, a sea of clouds and mist surged into the sky. Altaria seed like a lifeform born of the clouds themselves—ethereal and elusive. Wrapped in white mist, Altaria continued to soar. Perhaps because its color was so similar to the sea of clouds, the audience could only catch glimpses of its body.

"This is... Altaria almost instantly used Mist and Cotton Guard!"

Vivian exclaid loudly, "Ninetales’ Baby-Doll Eyes seems to have been ignored by Altaria."

Did it fail?

Terrance shrugged. Fine then—looks like the opponent ca prepared. He’d give her this chance.

"Altaria, ga Evolution!"

With Ninetales’ opening strike failing, Lisia imdiately activated the Key Stone on her head accessory. An incomparably brilliant light connected her to the sea of clouds.

As a massive halo of Key Stone light appeared and then shattered, the sea of clouds grew even more vast, almost as if it were about to occupy the entire sky above the stage.

"Ninetales, freeze the sky," Terrance ordered.

Facing the oppressive sea of clouds descending from above, and recalling Lisia and Altaria’s techniques from the first round, Terrance had no intention of giving them a chance to play their symphony.

At that mont, ice and snow energy surged forth wildly. A mass of snow clouds forcibly collided with the sea of clouds ford by Cotton Guard and Mist.

At the sa ti, a powerful Blizzard was released from the Ninetales below, echoing in response with the snow clouds in the sky.

"It’s Ninetales’ Snowy Weather!" The audience imdiately beca excited! They had seen plenty of weather-type moves before, but it was rare to see one perford with such splendor and majesty as Terrance did.

"Such speed..." Lisia clenched her teeth. This was also the first ti she had personally faced such an absurdly overpowered Snowy Weather.

Ignoring the cold wind blowing across the stage, Lisia kept her eyes fixed on the sea of clouds. The next mont, a figure burst out from within it, wildly churning the mist and clouds, as if trying to contend head-on with the Blizzard created by Ninetales.

"Dragon Dance?"

Terrance was montarily stunned. Watching Altaria manipulate the sea of clouds with its movents made his head ache. He hadn’t expected this Altaria to also have mastered a technique similar to Beautifly’s Extre Quiver Dance.

As troubleso as expected.

The sea of clouds and the Blizzard entwined with each other, neither able to gain the upper hand for the mont. However, everyone could see that as Dragon Dance continued, the defensive power of the sea of clouds would only grow stronger.

"Use Icicle Spear," Terrance changed his command.

In the next instant, the massive Blizzard instantly reshaped itself, transforming into tens of thousands of Icicle Spears.

Given the size of the Icicle Spears, they easily pierced through the sea of clouds. However, as Altaria’s Dragon Dance accelerated, the surrounding air currents compressed violently, seemingly trying to blow the Icicle Spears away.

"It’s useless." As Terrance spoke, a trendous explosion rang out from within the sea of clouds. The Fairy energy contained within the Icicle Spears exploded violently, blasting the sea of clouds apart as boundless light shone down from the sky.

Pink rays of light spread in all directions, making the entire stage look breathtakingly beautiful.

"As expected of Senior Terrance."

Under the alluring reflections of light, Lisia’s gaze grew solemn. She hadn’t expected Ninetales to be able to pull off sothing like this. Fusing the Fairy energy of Dazzling Gleam into tiny Icicle Spears. Just how terrifyingly precise must its control be?

"No damage, huh..." Terrance felt it was a pity. Looking ahead, he saw Altaria swirl up a mass of cottony feathers and erge unscathed from the explosion, looking effortlessly graceful. At the sa ti, it abandoned Dragon Dance, and as it began to move rapidly, a special sound rang out.

Hearing that peculiar sound, the corner of Terrance’s mouth lifted upward. It seed he still hadn’t managed to stop the opponent from using her trump card, but that was fine.

This Altaria could use Fairy energy and Cotton Guard to play a musical score imbued with multiple sound-based moves, making it extrely troubleso. But since there was no avoiding it, he might as well enjoy it properly.

Terrance was fairly knowledgeable about sound-based moves. The mont he heard the lody, he imdiately knew which moves were embedded within the opponent’s score.

"Sing move, Disarming Voice move, and Round move..."
