Chapter 672: The Miraculous Effect of Fairy Aura
"So that’s how it is. As Altaria developed its Pixilate Ability, it actually managed to fuse Fairy energy with a status-type move like Growl to such an extent. It seems Altaria has gained a lot under Xerneas’s training."
Altaria’s secondary developnt of Erase left Terrance pleasantly surprised.
In the past, Altaria’s use of the Pixilate Ability was limited to simply turning Normal-type offensive moves into Fairy-type ones, but now it had managed to integrate Fairy energy into Growl-like moves.
Following that, by utilizing Fairy Aura and subtly controlling Fairy energy, it could change the frequency of Growl at will.
With the help of both Mirror Move and control over Fairy energy, Altaria’s Erase Technique could now cover a much wider range.
At the sa ti, the success rate would also significantly increase.
"The drawback of the Erase Technique is that it’s pointless against weaker opponents, and against stronger opponents, the low success rate makes it too risky, possibly leading to serious consequences. It’s only useful against opponents of a similar level...."

In the future, even if it faced opponents stronger than ga Altaria, this move would still have room to shine. As long as there was even a trace of Fairy energy, Altaria’s control over Growl under the influence of Fairy Aura would be several tis greater than before.
Compared to previously having to calculate the frequency before using Growl, now its use of Growl was far more ingenious. Altaria and Little Vulpix exchanged a few words, then Altaria nodded, closed its eyes, and let the aura surrounding its whole body spread out, rging into the ground.
Imdiately after, the ground slowly turned pink, and Fairy energy directly enveloped the surrounding several ters, a change that made Terrance slightly surprised.
What surprised Terrance even more next was that Little Vulpix, standing within this area, seed to be nourished, showing an expression of enjoynt.
At this mont, the Fairy energy within the aura seed to transform into specks of light, strands of which broke free from the aura and flowed into Little Vulpix’s body.

Hearing Xerneas’s words, Terrance looked at Ice Vulpix. At this mont, wrapped in the Fairy Aura, Ice Vulpix’s body seed to be undergoing so strange change.

"When it perfectly masters Fairy Aura, it could even control this Pokémon’s evolution, or grant it the Fairy type in advance."
"This..." Terrance’s heart was far from calm. In Ash’s experiences, Xerneas had used Fairy Aura to help Diancie gain trendous power, granting it the ability to create true diamonds. Altaria clearly did not yet possess that level of mastery.
Right now, Altaria had only allowed Ice Vulpix to touch upon the prototype of these two moves, which clearly showed it still could not fully utilize Fairy Aura.
Even so, the news from Xerneas was explosive.
If Altaria completed its training and could perfectly use Fairy Aura, then the miraculous effects of Fairy Aura could very well beco the strongest ability of ga Altaria, and even of Terrance himself!

Terrance calculated in his heart, and after catching up with Altaria one last ti, in order not to disturb its training with Xerneas, he left the mountains.
He had originally planned for ga Altaria to join him in his battle against Champion Diantha in a month’s ti, but Terrance now killed that idea.
Compared to gaining battle experience against a Top Trainer, continuing training with Xerneas was clearly more important.
Terrance decided to leave the battle to his other Pokémon, even if that ant losing with no suspense.
After leaving the mountains, Terrance, because of the miraculous effects of Fairy Aura, ca up with an idea.
Before battling Diantha, he planned to make a trip back to Hoenn.
