Magnezone, by utilizing a special magnetic field, reorganized Magneton’s molecular structure, evolving into an entirely new form!
In this form, Magnezone is naturally capable of emitting strange signals and receiving unknown signals, allowing it to act as a radar and survive better in the wild.
The move Thunder Wave has no offensive power and serves a singular purpose, but when used by Leo’s Magnezone, it was like an antenna receiving Mismagius’s incantations. First, the electromagnetic waves were absorbed by the incantations, then Magnezone received the returning feedback. As the information continued to pass back and forth, Mismagius was inexplicably unable to pull Magnezone into the Illusionary Space.
Golden waves filled the air as Mismagius used its illusion skill to counter them. Golden and purple auras spread across the sky as the two Pokémon faced off, each trying to suppress the other.
So far, Lucky Chant had not shown any noticeable effect. Mismagius, feeling increasingly adept at chanting its incantations, had a deep, resolute gaze, intending to prolong the standoff. As luck accumulated, the success rate of Mismagius’s Hypnosis would rise, but over ti, Magnezone’s Thunder Wave began to change. At so point, the entire field had beco filled with electricity. At the sa ti, the intensity of Magnezone’s Thunder Wave further increased, completely overpowering the illusion skill and enveloping Mismagius.
Zzzzap.
Feeling it’s body getting paralyzed, Mismagius quickly slipped into the void.
Below the stage, Albus glanced at Fujiki and said, “Just like what happened with you before, this Leo’s Magnezone has spare energy to create Electric Terrain while using Thunder Wave.”
“It’s just a simple technique,” Fujiki replied.
As Electric Terrain appeared, its special fluctuations directly enhanced the strength of Magnezone’s electromagnetic waves, then the electromagnetic waves enveloped Mismagius.
Mismagius hid in the void, but with the guidance of the electromagnetic waves, Magnezone locked onto it effortlessly. A Zap Cannon shot out, instantly blasting Mismagius to the ground.
“This is bad,” The audience, seeing Mismagius unable to escape Magnezone’s lock-on and getting hit by the overwhelmingly powerful Zap Cannon, were instantly shocked.
Yellow light shimred between the three components of Magnezone, and a beam of lightning was launched. The Zap Cannon seed to pierce through the void. Even though Mismagius used Phantom Force to vanish from sight, it couldn’t avoid being blasted away in the end.
“Mismagius, are you alright?”
Terrance frowned slightly. Seeing Mismagius slowly floating up from the dust, he let out a sigh of relief. Although Lucky Chant activated a bit late, it barely helped Mismagius avoid a critical hit, and Zap Cannon only grazed it.
Still, even so, the trendous power of Zap Cannon had dealt serious damage to Mismagius.
“Magnezone, Magnet Bomb.”
Leo clearly wasn’t planning to give Terrance and Mismagius any breathing room. Magnezone dragged its body forward, hurling one massive chunk of tal after another toward Mismagius.
Mismagius tried to dodge, but due to repeated contact with Thunder Wave and Electric Terrain, it had already been heavily eroded by electricity. As it dodged, small electric currents pervaded its body, and Mismagius’s movents clearly turned sluggish.
It was obvious. Mismagius had fallen into Paralysis state.
“Use Hypnosis on yourself,” Terrance quickly commanded.
As the steel bombs closed in, Mismagius let out a soft chant, and a mysterious glow enveloped its body. It floated quickly into the air, and the currents covering it were instantly purified away.
In that instant, Mismagius used its illusion skill to cast Hypnosis on itself, giving itself both ntal and physical suggestions, entering a sleep state. Even while asleep, it successfully evaded the attack thanks to the pre-set suggestions.
BOOM!!!!!!!
Several steel bombs crashed onto the battlefield. In an instant, the shockwaves left the field battered and full of craters. When the smoke cleared, Terrance’s pupils contracted. He understood the opponent’s true intention.
In that previous situation, the steel bombs clearly could have continued chasing Mismagius, but Magnezone gave up on it.
At this point, electricity swirled around the field. Electric Terrain was still active, and because of the steel bombs, countless tal fragnts were scattered all over the battlefield.
“Magnezone, apply magnetic force to the tal fragnts,” Leo commanded again.
“Mismagius, use Double Team,” Terrance quickly ordered.
As dozens of Mismagius appeared in the air, the tal fragnts were also successfully manipulated by Magnezone. The two Pokémon locked eyes, and in the next mont, a powerful soundwave burst out from both sides.
With the help of Double Team, Mismagius chanted its incantations in rounds. Echoes reverberated across the battlefield surrounded by the nurous Mismagius. At this mont, Mismagius’s illusion skill was greatly strengthened.
Endless waves of illusions surged toward Magnezone, while Magnezone manipulated the tal fragnts, weaving them into a vast, intricate network of electromagnetic waves in the air.
Golden electromagnetic waves weaved between countless tal fragnts, as if constructing a tactical blueprint. The tal fragnts served as the core of this blueprint, and as incantations surged in from all directions, the electromagnetic waves empowered them with formidable counterattacking capabilities.
As electricity surged among the tal fragnts, they let out a piercing noise, like friction between tal, but imbued with mysterious energy. The incantations clashed with this harsh tallic sound. Purple waves and golden currents twisted together until, monts later, they triggered a massive explosion. Mismagius’s illusionary copies were blown away in an instant.
“Mismagius’s illusion skills are completely ineffective against Magnezone.”
“Mismagius is in danger.”
Whether it was inner illusions or external projections, all were successively countered by Magnezone. Mismagius’s pride, its illusion skills, seed utterly fragile when faced with an equally powerful Magnezone.
“As expected, impressive,” Terrance looked at Mismagius. In front of Magnezone, Mismagius’s illusion skills were thoroughly restricted.
“Magnezone, Discharge,” Leo pressed the attack.
Mismagius stopped using its illusion skills as the tactical blueprint made from tal fragnts and electromagnetic waves changed once again, now resembling a chessboard. The tal fragnts beca the pieces, and as they moved, countless bolts of electricity shot out from them.
Magnezone established a tight connection between the Electric Terrain, Thunder Wave, and the tal fragnts. Every movent among the three could be relayed back to Magnezone, which could also control them at will. As the electric currents shot out, Mismagius countered with Mystical Fire. Though the power of their moves was evenly matched, Mismagius had no way to withstand the relentless, shifting Discharge.
Mismagius cautiously defended against the Thunder Shock reflected by the tal fragnts, but Magnezone, like a chessmaster behind the scenes, continuously repositioned the tal fragnts to strike from the most optimal angles. Combined with the growing scale of the Thunder Shock, in just a short ti, Mismagius was completely suppressed.
