Chapter 420: Beautifly Takes the Stage!

Terrance’s judgnt was not wrong. Flygon was already unable to continue battling. Although this inability was relative, facing Gallade, the sandstorm Flygon raised once again barely had any strength.

Terrance was also very decisive, directly having Gallade end the last shred of hope lingering in Mito and Flygon’s hearts.

The combination of Teleport and Slash delivered the final blow, completely concluding the battle.

Defeated!

Following Tar Kyōsuke, this was the second Champion League contestant to lose in a battle.

Although both of them were bottom-tier contestants in the Champion League, they were genuine competitors who fought through nurous competitors in the foundational competitions to reach the Champion League.

As everyone carefully reflected on what had happened, they were astonished—Terrance had defeated both of them using only Gallade.

1 vs. 2!

“Could this Gallade actually be Terrance’s ace?! So strong—its power is unfathomable. Even now, I can’t tell what its limits are.”

“It’s possible, but that Castform, Mismagius, and even that Arcanine are all equally strong! Maybe… maybe none of them have gone all out yet.”

Looking at Fallarbor Gym’s Gym Leader Terrance, even those who had not yet taken the stage now regarded him with a serious attitude.

Including the kids from Old Green House, who were now too excited to speak. At this rate, Terrance seems almost unbeatable!

Mito helplessly recalled Flygon and walked back. They had lost. At this point, Terrance had essentially built his reputation by stepping over their defeated bodies.

So frustrating.

They really wanted to have a 6 vs 6 full team battle with Terrance. That way, even if they encountered one or two strange Pokémon, they could use the team’s composition to recover the situation to so extent.

There were too many uncertainties in a 1 vs. 1 battle.

This kind of one-round decisive battle was truly painful and frustrating for the challengers who had previously lost to Terrance.

“Hah~~” Taking a long breath, Mito stopped dwelling on it. After all, they had agreed to the rules from the beginning, so they could only acknowledge the reality of their defeat.

Battle Girl Mito and Tar Kyōsuke looked at Terrance, a thought arising in their minds:

Would they et him in a formal competition like the Champion League?

When that ti cos, they must determine the true victor.

“Co back, Gallade. You can rest for now,” Terrance said, keeping a ntal count.

After defeating Mito, it seed there were only about five or six Trainers left, right?

Of course, these were just the first group of people who stood up early, eager to challenge him first.

However, Terrance believed that these people were probably the strongest among the challengers. If soone wanted to play the role of a pig to eat the tiger in the end, Terrance had nothing to say about it—he was willing to accompany them to the very end.

“He recalled his Pokémon again.”

From the start until now, Terrance had already used five Pokémon.

Altaria, Arcanine, Mismagius, Castform, and Gallade.

Seeing Terrance recall his Pokémon, everyone speculated on his next move. But as the Poké Ball was thrown, a familiar figure appeared in the arena, and everyone was stunned—it was Beautifly?!

Beautifly, a Pokémon as common as dirt in Hoenn.

Sending out such a Pokémon undoubtedly surprised many people, but only a small portion of those who were unfamiliar with Terrance showed their astonishnt.

Those in the know, however, didn’t dare to look down on it at all.

“This is the sa Beautifly that earned Terrance the title of Top Coordinator.”

“It’s also this Beautifly that defeated one of Master Phoebe’s Pokémon… Terrance even received praise from her because of it.”

Just these two facts alone made it impossible for them to underestimate this Beautifly.

Watching its graceful, fluttering figure, Terrance’s next opponent, who had just stepped onto the stage, wore a contemplative expression, seemingly pondering which Pokémon to send out.

The opponent thought that since it was a Beautifly, even if it was strong, it should be easy to handle!

“Go, Aggron!”

The Trainer’s face briefly showed a hint of smugness.

No matter how well-trained it was, could it really overco the inherent difference in species?

“Roar!”

The large, black-and-silver, bipedal monster-like Pokémon stood firmly on its hind legs.

Its re presence exuded imnse power compared to Beautifly.

Aggron’s body and head were covered in thick armor, and its thick, long black tail slamd against the ground. Its three sharp claws on both hands and feet looked incredibly sharp!

With sky-blue eyes fixed on Beautifly, Aggron showed obvious disdain. Its contempt for the tiny bug in front of it written all over its face.

“Don’t get careless. This opponent won’t be easy to deal with.”

However, Aggron’s Trainer didn’t dare to share the sa dismissive attitude as his Pokémon.

When Scarlet announced the start of the battle, he imdiately gave the order: “Use Rock Slide!”

Aggron ford large rocks and hurled them violently toward Beautifly. But in the eyes of Terrance and Beautifly, this move was no different from a clumsy giant swinging wildly.

“Is that all the speed you’ve got?” Terrance smiled slightly.

Indeed, the opponent looked big and strong, with a massive body that seed to possess defense which would be hard for Beautifly—a Pokémon with no type advantage—to break through.

But if the opponent couldn’t hit Beautifly, what was the point?

Even when Master Phoebe sent out a Frillish, Terrance found it more threatening than this Aggron!

“Beautifly, go all out—Violent air currents, Quiver Dance!” Terrance stepped forward and gave the command.

A silvery-white storm appeared instantly.

The storm was incredibly intense, exuding a heavy sense of pressure, like a hurricane.

Within this silver storm, Beautifly began moving uncontrollably.

Large rocks?

Faced with this outrageous speed and agility, Beautifly, whose entire body turned into a blur, rged into the dense silver storm.

Even while performing Quiver Dance, it boldly ignored the incoming attack!

“This—”

The raging Silver Wind blew fiercely. Although Beautifly was small, it now appeared utterly wild, squeezing out every second to strengthen itself.

Spurred by the ferocious wind, the speed of Quiver Dance reached an astonishing level!!

“This is the incredible technique Beautifly displayed during the Pokémon Contest!! It actually ignored Rock Slide completely!”

Many people recognized the move, their hearts filled with shock—it was ten tis more stunning than what they had seen on TV or in recordings!

Aggron’s Trainer’s pupils shrank, revealing a wry smile, and he could only continue giving commands: “Aggron, use tal Sound to disrupt it!”

Whether it’s letting Aggron engage in close combat or using a powerful move, given the current situation, the Trainer didn’t doubt for a second that Beautifly could dodge it. Rather than doing that, it would be better to use a non-offensive move to interfere with Beautifly and prevent it from powering up further!

“So this is what a real Coordinator is like… what a freaking monster!”
