Chapter 228: Double Rainbow

The raindrops pattered down, and then, as quickly as they started, they stopped.

Everything was so calm and sudden that it left everyone bewildered.

Castform also perford nothing further.

“Uh…”

Everyone was stunned, including the three judges on the panel, who looked equally puzzled.

“This performance style…..is very different from before,” Raoul Contesta remarked.

“However, for a Castform, pulling off a Rain Dance like this is pretty perfect,” Joy comnted, viewing it from the Pokémon’s perspective.

At that mont, so mbers of the audience furrowed their brows, seemingly deep in thought.

“It feels like… I’ve seen this before.” They closely observed the dark clouds and the figure of Terrance on the stage.

Suddenly, one person’s eyes lit up, and they exclaid, “He seems to be the Trainer who challenged the legend!! One of the four!”

This person’s words instantly caused a stir. Those who understood what was said imdiately fixed their gaze on Terrance, scrutinizing him closely.

“It really is him!”

“I rember his dark brown-colored hair…”

So were in shock, realizing that one of the famous four Trainers had now co to challenge a Pokémon Contest?

Could it be that… he is a Coordinator?!

“Do you rember that video… the rainstorm that suppressed Regirock’s sandstorm…”

Soone said this softly, reminding the others.

Then, another person said in disbelief, “Could it be that it wasn’t Altaria… but this Castform!”

Due to the angle in the video, Castform, who was on Altaria, was not directly captured, but the crucial Rain Dance left a deep impression on those who had seen the video.

“Yes… maybe it really was Castform. Rember, there was a Hydro Pump from the sky, and Altaria can’t use Hydro Pump, right?”

Suddenly, so people looked at Castform in surprise. The Rain Dance it perford on stage seed ordinary, vastly different from the one in the video, which confused them even more.

“Use the powerful Rain Dance!!”

“I rember there was also Thunder, right?!”

“Let’s take a look at that rainstorm again!!”

For a mont, the audience beca noisy, and the staff were busy trying to maintain order.

Besides, those who hadn’t seen the video looked utterly baffled, not understanding why so spectators were reacting so strongly.

“It seems… this Terrance did sothing incredible before?” Raoul Contesta on the judges’ panel muttered in surprise.

“Wait a mont—”

After completing the Rain Dance, there was no follow-up from Terrance and Castform. Just as Vivian was lost in thought, she suddenly noticed that Castform had changed.

From its Rainy Form… it had transford into the fiery Sunny Form!

“A change in form… ans a change in weather.” Soone familiar with Castform’s traits looked up above the stage.

Sure enough, while they were distracted by the commotion… the dark clouds had completely disappeared!!

Instead, a dazzling large ball of light now hung in the sky, looking incredibly warm.

“Wait—”

A spectator with a perfect viewing angle rubbed his eyes and said, “I must be seeing things.”

He kept rubbing his eyes, and when he opened them again, his mouth dropped wide open, unable to close for a long ti.

“This is—”

As ti passed, people from all angles saw the slowly erging mirage, a flood of overwhelming colors.

Where the dark clouds once were, appeared pathways leading straight to the stage, like colorful ribbons.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet…

The seven colors blended together, forming a stunning spectacle.

“A rainbow—”

Soone stared in awe as the entire stage was covered in colorful ribbons, creating a breathtaking scene.

Two massive rainbows, one high and one low, seed to envelop the stage. In the center stood Castform in its Sunny Form, more prominent than ever before.

“Amazing… how did they do it…”

Countless people were stunned by the double rainbows. Rainbows are a common natural phenonon, and everyone was used to them, but creating them artificially… and two of them… it was simply unimaginable.

Even though everyone knew about rainbows, not many delved into their principles.

This led to these slowly erging rainbows after a plain rainfall being so astonishing.

Terrance sighed in relief, looking at the proud Castform without saying much, though he was genuinely happy inside.

It seems Castform really put its heart into it…Double rainbows; they were even beyond Terrance’s initial expectations.

Terrance’s idea for the performance was to create a rainbow by utilizing Castform’s Rain Dance and Sunny Day to produce the effect!

To make the performance more impactful, Terrance had ticulously taught Castform the principles of double rainbows. However, given the high difficulty, he settled for asking Castform to create at least a single rainbow as a fallback.

A single rainbow was the backup plan, ant to ensure success if the double rainbow attempt failed. It was much simpler in comparison, but to his surprise…Castform succeeded directly, which made Terrance very happy.

Compared to a single rainbow, these two massive rainbows were even more impactful.

“A rainbow… I see.” The judges stared at the rainbows in awe, not expecting such a change.

“Rain Dance and Sunny Day showcased Castform’s abilties, and this rainbow directly highlights its coordination skills!”

“Without a doubt, another stunning performance.” The two judges had seen Terrance’s performances three tis, and each was more surprising than the last. They couldn’t fathom what goes on in Terrance’s mind that he is always able to give them such surprises.

Rainbow is an optical phenonon in teorology. When sunlight shines on water droplets in the air, the light is refracted and reflected, forming an arch of seven colors in the sky, commonly seen after rain.

Compared to a single rainbow, double rainbows are less common. The secondary rainbow is ford by sunlight undergoing two reflections inside water droplets. When sunlight passes through a water droplet, it is refracted, reflected inside the droplet, and then refracted again as it exits. The light that undergoes one reflection inside the droplet forms the primary rainbow that people commonly see. If the light undergoes two reflections inside the droplet, it produces the secondary rainbow.

“Double rainbows… require precise angles of sunlight and specific distribution of water droplets in the air.”

“The hardest part is controlling the moisture in the air. This Castform has excellent sensitivity to humid air,” Joy noted.

“Looks like we underestimated him. Although Castform’s nurturing falls short of Altaria’s, its performance was no less impressive thanks to its unique abilities! He has a deep understanding of his Pokémon!” Raoul Contesta exclaid.

A round of enthusiastic applause broke out as Terrance bowed and left the stage. As for the score?

Anything less than a perfect score was out of the question.
