Chapter 127 *Title Hidden*

Saffron City is a sprawling tropolis in the Kanto Region, situated amidst Cerulean City, Celadon City, Vermilion City and Lavender Town. Hence, Terrance, traveling through Cerulean City, could easily head towards Saffron City.

Rembering the purpose of his journey, Terrance felt a little troubled.

Psychic power…

He might be visiting soone extraordinary.

Saffron City is the largest and busiest city in the entire Kanto region. When people from other regions ntion cities in Kanto, Saffron City is almost always the first to co to mind, mostly due to Silph Co.

The other reason is the family residing here, possessing psychic powers for generations. This family currently controls the Saffron City’s Gym, Saffron Gym, which is famous for Psychic-type Pokémon.

At the sa ti… this Gym is also a nightmare for all Trainers in the Kanto Region. If it weren’t for the responsibilities of a Gym Leader, no one would know what this eccentric Gym Leader would do after the opponent fails their challenge.

Terrance arrived here in the evening and chose to rest at the Pokémon Center first. Visiting soone at night, even with Professor Oak’s recomndation, might not be well-received.

A hearty al, a good night’s sleep, and rest were the things Terrance planned to do next.

Early the next day, Terrance was standing in front of the Gym’s entrance. With Professor Oak’s recomndation, he knocked on the door, and soon, a man resembling a psychic apprentice welcod him.

After he introduced himself, the other party went to confirm and after receiving the exact information, the psychic apprentice led Terrance in.

Passing through several doors, Terrance was taken to a room where Mr. Sam was already waiting for him.

Sam, the current Gym Leader Sabrina’s father, and the contemporary successor of the psychic power family. However, for so reason, Terrance’s first impression of him was that of a weary and lonely old man.

“I recall that Sabrina in the original work was hard to deal with, right?”

As Terrance followed along, he silently muttered, sensing a hint of childhood trauma. Everyone here wasn’t normal. Throughout the way, Terrance didn’t dare to look around and obediently followed behind.

“You must be Terrance…” Mr. Sam smiled, gesturing for Terrance to sit.

“Hello, Mr. Sam, sorry for the disturbance,” Terrance politely greeted.

With Professor Oak’s introduction, after exchanging a few pleasantries, Terrance released Ralts and got straight to the point.

“The situation is like this, Mr. Sam. I wonder if your family has any records of human’s psychic power affecting the evolution of Psychic-type Pokémon…”

Terrance explained the matter, and the other party grasped the gist of it, “There are indeed records of this, but no one has tried it, including .”

“Such a condition… this Ralts is indeed unfortunate,” Mr. Sam sighed before saying, “We can give it a try, although I cannot guarantee success.”

Terrance stumbled upon this in an ancient record. Then, drawing connections with mories in his mind and discussing the possibility of external forces altering Pokémon genes with Master Victor, he decided to go to Kanto to give it a try.

Mr. Sam agreed readily, though it was a simple task for him. However, he had no obligation to assist Terrance, and much of the credit for this goes to Professor Oak.

Only the renowned Professor of Kanto could have any connection with these people.

“Does it have any defects with its psychic power?… How about showing

the only move it can use?” Mr. Sam said.

“Ralts…” Terrance called.

At his command, Ralts showcased his signature move, “Teleport,” prompting a surprised exclamation from Mr. Sam. “Its level is quite impressive.”

“Why can it only use this one move?”

He furrowed his brow and, imitating Ralts, also used “Teleport,” making Terrance, the transmigrator, witness sothing non-human for the first ti.

“Little one, do you feel your way of using it is the sa as mine?” he asked.

“Raltss???” Ralts looked puzzled.

“Alright!” Mr. Sam lowered his head in disappointnt. “Since that’s the case, let’s give it a try.”

Hearing this, Terrance imdiately beca excited, eagerly looking at Ralts….

As Mr. Sam made his preparations, a unique aura emanated from him, his eyes glowing with an indescribable light. Following that, psychic power slowly acted on Ralts, and then, to Terrance’s delight, a faint white light imdiately enveloped Ralts.

“The light of evolution?” Terrance exclaid in joy.

However, in the next mont, a profound sense of disappointnt surged within him. The white light dissipated, and Ralts was still the sa. The anticipation that had filled his heart instantly vanished, leaving Terrance feeling disheartened.

“It still failed…” Terrance sighed.

“Wa…wait a mont.” Mr. Sam struggled to speak. It was only then that Terrance noticed Mr. Sam was sweating profusely, as if he had just engaged in an intense battle, showing a tired expression.

“Just a little more. I feel just a bit more, and Ralts could have successfully evolved.”

“Really?” Terrance was surprised.

“Yes, I feel my psychic power was suddenly drained, causing my mind to go into imdiate overload. If my psychic power was a bit stronger, enduring a bit longer, Ralts should be able to evolve successfully.”

“I need to rest for a bit, make enough preparations, and try again later. The previous attempt was a bit too sudden.” he said.

“Then, I’ll trouble you, Mr. Sam.” Terrance’s disappointnt turned to excitent again, and he comforted Ralts, “Don’t worry, you will succeed.”

“Ralts…”

Thirty minutes later, Mr. Sam once again used psychic power on Ralts to stimulate its evolution. This ti, the duration of the light of evolution was longer, but it still did not last until Ralts successfully evolved.

This situation made Terrance wonder if there was a “Everstone” attached to Ralts.

“Is there really no way…” Feeling Terrance’s low spirits, Ralts also beca disheartened.

“No…there should still be a way. You have to believe in yourself, Ralts.” Terrance spoke.

Mr. Sam looked at the two little ones, shaking his head apologetically. “I’m really sorry, I may not be able to help you. My psychic power level… is already at its limit.”

“It’s okay, thank you very much.” Terrance patted Ralts’s head, smiling.

Suddenly, Mr. Sam changed the subject, “Actually… it’s not entirely hopeless. If soone’s psychic power level is higher than mine, they might be able to help Ralts evolve successfully.”
