『Ergency, ergency. Building Block Golem, preparing for deploynt. Establishing master link.』

At the mysterious broadcast, the two dice glowed and froze in place. Their behavior was different from what had happened in the Saitama Dungeon No. 3. And then—the result appeared.

『Six and six! Thirty-six! Thirty-six tis! Thirty-six tis!』

Atsuage’s body began to swell rapidly, transforming into the towering giant form it once took in battle against Inari.

『Building Block Golem, thirty-six tis size. Deploynt complete. Beginning operation.』

Monts ago, Atsuage had been a re toy-like figure, barely fifty centiters tall, ready to be crushed by a single stomp from a colossal soldier. But multiplied thirty-six tis, he now stood at nearly eighteen ters. Larger even than the soldier colossi, who were around ten ters tall—a truly reliable body.

In other words, what was about to unfold was a clash of titans. The soldier colossi seed to realize it too, splashing through the sea as they charged.

“Beam.”

From Atsuage’s chest erupted a massive beam of light, piercing through and destroying several soldier colossi without rcy.

“Beam. Beam. Beam. Beam. Beeeeeeeeeam.”

A torrential barrage.

Was Atsuage always this powerful? The answer was… yes. Yet, now that he was bound as Inari’s “pet,” he was empowered further, his magic supply linked to hers. This system was poorly understood—no other awakener had ever even attempted to keep a pet—but a pet’s strength rose or fell with its master’s.

A strong pet paired with a weak master could not perform at its best. A weak pet paired with a strong master could exceed its natural limits.

And what of Kogami Inari as a master? The answer: supre. Her mana, vast as though inexhaustible. Her physical abilities might be close to human, but as Atsuage’s master, she was more than enough. After all—

Beam spam was now limitless.

The soldier colossi and colossus priests fell in droves. But soon after ca colossus knights, and among them one even larger—a colossus knight commander. And looming behind them, a colossus high priest.

“To think they would ta such a thing…”

“Others besides us escaped outside. This was inevitable. Though… sothing about it seems off.”

“It matters not. Destroy it. Knights, advance!”

“Beam.”

But Atsuage cared nothing for their words.

The knights raised their shields, absorbing the blasts, creating an opening. The knight commander leapt, sword raised high, splashing through the waves as he severed Atsuage’s arm—and in the sa swing cleaved his torso. Victory was certain—so judged the knight commander.

At that mont—

“Parts Change.”

“!?”

From nowhere, blocks flew in, expanding, replacing the shattered pieces. In an instant, the damage was gone. The thirty-six-tis Atsuage stood whole again.

With a single heavy punch and a swift one-two combo, Atsuage sent the stunned knight commander flying.

“Guh—!”

“Beam.”

“Gyaaaaaaaaaaahhh!”

The knight commander’s body was ripped apart by the blast. Unlike Atsuage, he had no such “parts change.” Of course not—such a thing was unnatural, a power so strange it had shocked even Inari. It consud vast mana, but with Inari as master, that was no obstacle.

“D-damn you… you absurd monster!”

The knight commander, his Japanese refined from long experience among humans, could only spew the most obvious of curses. It was only natural. How could one accept an enemy who split in two, only to be instantly repaired by flying blocks?

With a thunderous step, he thrust, shattering Atsuage’s head.

“Parts Change.”

“Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!”

“Beam.”

His head restored anew, Atsuage unleashed another beam. The knight commander was obliterated.

The colossus knights surged forward despite their captain’s fall, but their charge was shattered when the lead knight’s head exploded—not by Atsuage’s beam, but by an arrow of light.

From atop Itou City Hall, Inari stood with Kogetsu in bow form, loosing radiant shots.

Her arrows and Atsuage’s beams combined, and the knight order was torn apart. With Atsuage barring their path, they could not set foot into Ito.

The colossus high priest scowled.

“Curse you… Curse you! A monstrous woman beyond sense! A nonsensical giant toy! What is this madness? Am I trapped in so nightmare? Our perfect plan! The years! The kingdom, within reach! And now, to be thwarted by such aberrations?!”

“Beam.”

“Guoooooohhh! Do not mock eee!”

Atsuage’s beam struck, but the high priest’s barrier held. Yet Inari’s next shot pierced through, shattering both barrier and priest.

“Our… king… forgive… us…”

The high priest crumbled. But from behind him erged sothing even greater—far larger than the colossus Inari had once fought in the dungeon. A being taller even than Atsuage.

The King Colossus had arrived.
