A car sped towards the abandoned factory.

Inside the factory.

Preston Langley had already finished looking through the items.

After confirming them, he walked back out.

"So now, it’s ti to switch people," Julian Lawson spoke, controlling his impulse to snap Vera Hansen’s neck.

Preston Langley glanced at Serena Sterling on the ground.

Just now, while he was flipping through the files, Serena had crawled in the direction of Seraphina and had already moved so distance.

There was a long trail left on the ground.

"Hmph!"

"Don’t touch her! Vera is still in my hands!"

Just as Preston Langley was about to kick Serena again, Julian Lawson gripped Vera’s neck and shouted angrily.

Preston Langley finally stopped.

"Crawl, crawl, crawl over like a dog!" Preston Langley spat.

"Remove the gag from Vera’s mouth, I need to talk to her!" Preston Langley commanded.

Julian Lawson gritted his teeth but still tore the cloth out of Vera’s mouth.

"Release... I’m going to be strangled..." Vera imdiately said.

"Did you hear that? Let her go!" Preston Langley shouted angrily.

"Give Serena and Seraphina!" Julian Lawson was equally unwavering.

"Ha!" Preston Langley sneered, "Julian Lawson, do you think you’re still that high and mighty President of the Lawson Corporation? You have no standing to negotiate with now!"

With that, Preston Langley turned the barrel of the gun.

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out, and the bullet hit Serena’s leg.

"Ah!"

"Preston Langley!"

The hatred in Julian Lawson’s heart could almost tear him apart.

But Preston Langley had already reloaded, the barrel aid at Seraphina.

"That’s the cost of attempting to negotiate with ," Preston Langley said with a malicious smile.

He added with amusent, "Julian Lawson, if I were to shoot that kid’s head over there now, do you think your beloved would go insane?"

Preston Langley threatened, "She could even give up her life; she followed all the way here just for that little girl. If she dies, then Serena..."

Preston Langley said, pointing at Vera’s neck.

Julian Lawson felt an unwillingness in his heart, he almost ground his teeth to pieces.

Looking at the utterly miserable Serena.

His heart shattered.

If he hadn’t exposed his inner feelings, or if he hadn’t kidnapped her, causing Preston Langley to hide in the auditorium earlier, if he had managed to deal with Preston Langley sooner... all of this wouldn’t have happened!

Everything was his fault...

Julian Lawson loosened his grip on Vera’s neck.

Vera gasped deeply.

"Vera, how are you?" Preston Langley imdiately said to Vera.

"Sob, sob, sob, Langley, I’m not well, look at ..." Vera cried.

"Hmph, Julian Lawson!" Preston Langley glared at Julian Lawson.

"Vera, it’s fine now, soon we will leave the country, and after that, we will live happily ever after," Preston Langley consoled.

"Vera, now that everyone is here, you can do whatever you want, I’ll listen to you," Preston Langley continued.

"Vera, you better think this through!" Julian Lawson said through clenched teeth.

Vera felt fearless at this mont.

She viciously glared at the crawling Serena on the ground.

Then she said, "First, we’ll need money once we’re out."

Preston Langley nodded, "Vera is right."

Then he looked at Julian Lawson.

Julian Lawson took out his phone, pulled up his account, and showed Vera and Preston Langley the balance.

"Transfer it all to my anonymous account in Cygnus!" Preston Langley demanded.

Julian Lawson didn’t refuse and proceeded with the operation at once.

But the amount was too large and wasn’t received imdiately.

Julian Lawson tossed the phone over, showing Preston Langley.

Preston Langley picked up the phone and confird the operation was complete.

He sneered, continuing to look at Vera: "That’s the first thing, so what’s the second?"

Vera gave Julian Lawson a fierce glare.

"I want you to sincerely apologize to !" Vera said fiercely, "I want you to punish yourself with the lowest ans possible, Julian Lawson, what you’ve done to , I want you to go through it yourself!"

"I’m sorry." Julian Lawson said without hesitation.

"Vera, I was wrong, I shouldn’t have treated you like that these days."

"I’m a despicable person." Julian Lawson looked at Serena over there, his eyes reddened, "Using the little power I had, I hurt you."

He spoke, looking at Serena, as mories of these days surfaced in his mind.

He was wrong, it was his obsession that went too deep, if he loved her, he should have learned to let go.

The current situation was all his doing.

He should have let go and let her be with Silas Hawthorne, he should have blessed her, not watch her now covered in blood and dying.

A tear slid down from the corner of his eye, Julian Lawson said: "Vera, it’s my fault, I ask you to forgive ."

More tears flowed, Julian Lawson forcefully moved his gaze away from Serena, turning instead to Vera.

He said, "For what I’ve done to you, I don’t know how to repay it now."

"You want to deny it?" Preston Langley rebuked, "Look at how much you’ve hard Vera!"

He walked straight to a side of Serena, apparently intending to hit her again.

"Look at this..."

Julian Lawson picked up a knife and stabbed it into his left shoulder amidst Vera’s screams.

Blood splattered.

"Is this enough?" Julian Lawson continued, looking towards Preston Langley.

He knew that if he did nothing, Preston Langley would undoubtedly strike Serena again.

"Fenwick Hansen was willing to endure humiliation under the crotch," Julian Lawson continued, "I can crawl under you Preston Langley too."

"Hahaha..." Preston Langley laughed, a wild laughter.

"Is this the mighty President Lawson?" Preston Langley’s laughter brought tears to his eyes, "And now he’s beco so humble?"

Julian Lawson did not deny it, but said, "You can make do anything, it was my actions that pushed you to where you are now, the target of your revenge is also ."

He said, "Switch, you can break my arms and legs, I will leave the country with you."

"Wait!" Preston Langley was about to say sothing when Vera suddenly spoke up, "I only ntioned two demands, there’s still one more."

Julian Lawson almost wanted to strangle Vera, but with Preston Langley controlling Serena and Seraphina over there, he could only temporarily suppress it.

"Speak." Julian Lawson forced himself to say.

"It’s that bitch!" Vera viciously glared at Serena and shouted angrily, "If not for her constantly ruining my plans, I would have achieved my goal long ago!"

Serena slowly turned her head from the ground, looking at Vera over there.

From Vera’s eyes, she saw imnse malice.

"What is she wearing?" Vera suddenly laughed mockingly, "A wedding dress?"

"Julian Lawson, was today your wedding?" Vera glanced at Julian Lawson, finding that what he wore wasn’t a wedding suit.

"The groom isn’t Julian Lawson," Preston Langley replied, "It’s Silas Hawthorne."

Vera suddenly laughed, laughed until she was out of breath.

"You did all that to , all for her, and now she’s marrying soone else, hahaha..."

Julian Lawson lowered his head, "Yes, I lost, everything I’ve done was in vain, so for the last demand, what do you want?"

"I want..." Vera once again looked at Serena.

And at the sa ti, a car rushed to the vicinity of the abandoned factory, the door opened, and soone stepped out with a pale face.
