The news of Serena’s visit to the Quentin Group spread like wildfire.

"Why go to the Quentin Group at this ti?" soone asked suspiciously, "Is there a collaboration between the two families?"

"I don’t know."

...

Soone also went to ask Serena, but she said nothing.

Recently, she’s been watching the contents of the disk Archie gave her.

Trying to find so clues from her father’s and the counterpart’s communications over the last year.

So far, no suspicious signs have been found.

Most of it was work-related exchanges and so playful interactions between two friends.

It was only in the last week’s exchange that her father casually ntioned sothing.

The original words were like this—"Serena always loses things, don’t know where that Blue Diamond Necklace went, Archie, is your daughter like this too?"

It was just a very ordinary sentence.

But Serena felt sothing was off.

Because she had given that necklace to Silas Hawthorne back then.

Then Silas Hawthorne took the necklace to seek help from the Sheridans, and finally this year, Silas returned the necklace to her on a hot air balloon.

According to Silas, he t her father back then and directly got his help.

So, her father knew the whereabouts of the necklace.

So...

Serena reached out and took off the necklace from her neck, carefully examining it.

It looked no different from before.

Deep blue color, with the Sheridan Family’s engraving on it.

It didn’t seem to be anything special.

"Is sothing wrong?" Silas Hawthorne asked, noticing her action.

Serena raised her eyes and asked, "Have you been keeping this necklace safe all along?"

Silas thought carefully and said, "Since the mont you gave it to , I took it to find the Sheridans, and while they took it to Uncle’s to verify, I was always by the side, it was never out of my sight, later Uncle looked at it and let keep it."

This was her belonging, and he had always kept it with care.

Serena scrutinized the necklace closely.

No problems found at the mont.

According to Silas, it hadn’t been tampered with, and it was still the original one.

Silas didn’t need to lie to her.

Perhaps it needed to contact sothing else to be effective.

Thinking this, Serena put the necklace back on.

"What’s the matter?" Silas asked.

Serena shook her head, puzzled: "I don’t know either."

"If you don’t know, stop thinking too much, look at this." Silas said, handing the phone to Serena.

At the mont they were at Aeon.

The two had just had lunch together.

Serena took the phone, and saw it was Brandon Huxley’s new update.

Brandon Huxley: Just closed another deal, we are aweso!

This was another big deal.

For those who had been watching Aether closely, they got the news first.

Then, it triggered intense discussions once again.

As well as the reevaluation of Aether’s valuation.

This also ant that Serena’s shares would be worth more.

Serena put down the phone, chuckling softly.

Brandon had already told them, there would be plenty of such news, asking them to be ntally prepared.

So Serena wasn’t surprised either.

"Are you handling the affairs at the company?" Serena asked Silas.

Compared to the news about Aether, Serena was still more concerned about the Hawthorne Group here.

"Piece of cake." Silas laughed, "Not worth ntioning."

Recently, there were so minor frictions because Serena wouldn’t relent, they were pressuring Silas, trying to convince him to persuade Serena.

But Silas didn’t take it seriously, always giving the sa response.

The approximate aning was—had given you chances back then, you couldn’t seize them, now want to step in, no way!

And the Hawthorne Group wasn’t just filled with opposition.

Various factions exist, fighting among each other fiercely.

So when Desmond Wyatt and the others suffered setbacks, other factions viciously suppressed, sneering and ridiculing.

All day they’d co to find Silas.

Silas’s way of handling them was to throw them all out.

If anyone dared speak ill of Serena, they’d be directly sent to "train" in the local area for a while.

Once was "training," twice was a suspension warning, and the third ti was sent off to sea together.

Serena looked at Silas.

She understood his intentions.

He was different from others.

Many tis, others saw her as just soone beneath, a re flower vase.

Even when she was with Julian Lawson, and their relationship was intimate, Julian was always in absolute control.

But with Silas here.

He willingly stood behind her, letting all the glory, all the spotlight, focus on her.

By his side, they were equals.

Indeed, he would even take the lower position.

Not due to lack of ability, but because he wanted her to shine.

He understood her.

Knew she wanted to personally revive the Sheridan Family, understood her desire for revenge for her father.

So...

"Thank you, Silas." Serena said softly.

Silas stopped what he was doing, leaned over, and gently kissed her forehead.

"Between us, there’s no need for thanks." he said.

The sunlight was perfect, outside the large floor-to-ceiling window was a cloudless blue sky.

Endless beauty.

...

Aether’s new order caused a series of changes.

Aether beca more popular, and Jasper Ford beca even more pursued by people.

Jasper Ford remained the sa arrogant fellow as before.

Imdiately, he arranged for Serena and others to have a celebratory dinner.

Maybe because he was too happy, he chose a very ostentatious restaurant this ti.

Serena and the others went together.

As always, reported by nurous dia, photos all over the place.

Then, trouble happened.

Jasper Ford and Gigi Sutton got into a fight.

Countless people saw, in the mall, Gigi Sutton walking ahead, and Jasper Ford following behind.

"What exactly do you want?" Jasper Ford’s voice was full of impatience, "Nothing really between and her, she’s not dumb, leaving Silas Hawthorne and flirting with ?"

An angry Gigi Sutton directly took a cup of water from one side of the shop and splashed it on Jasper Ford’s face.

"Now everyone in Aeston knows you Jasper Ford are just Serena’s lapdog!" Gigi Sutton said angrily, "I, Gigi Sutton, cannot stand this sha!"

"Gigi Sutton!" Jasper Ford wiped his face and shouted angrily.

"Ask yourself, is there any woman willing to be your girlfriend! Every day like a begging dog!" Gigi Sutton’s chest heaving in anger, she slamd the cup on the table.

Perhaps overly angry, her hand was heavy, "bang," breaking the cup.

Nurous onlookers were there, Gigi Sutton glared fiercely at them.

Then quickly left.

Leaving Jasper Ford drenched, looking very embarrassed.

"Gigi Sutton!"

Jasper Ford shouted.

But Gigi Sutton didn’t stop.

"Damn woman! Co back here!"

But Gigi Sutton still didn’t turn back.

"Hey, listen to ..." Jasper Ford wiped so water away, urgently chasing after her.

This scene was seen by many, and the video was all over the internet in no ti.

Then, sohow, Jasper Ford and Serena suddenly seed to have stopped interacting.

Subsequently, news ca that Jasper Ford really liked Gigi Sutton and the two were preparing to get engaged.

"Seems like it’s a choice between two; Jasper Ford chose Gigi Sutton."

"Or maybe Jasper Ford didn’t want to be a begging dog anymore."

"Certainly, a grown man being called Serena’s begging dog every day, and Serena not even being his woman, who can stand it? Just a convenient excuse."
