They accepted the wine from Jasper Ford and asked the server to thank Silas Hawthorne.

"Your business partner is truly impressive!" Bianca Lynch remarked, looking at the wine.

Jasper Ford chuckled, not quite sure why either.

"Maybe they were conquered by my charm," he finally joked with a smile.

Serena rely glanced at the wine without saying anything.

The others had already opened the bottle, and the room was filled with joy.

anwhile, at Moonlight Manor.

"Buzzzz..."

In the room illuminated only by moonlight, Julian Lawson’s phone on the floor suddenly began to vibrate intensely.

He slowly lifted his head, hesitated a bit, and then answered the call.

"What’s the matter," his voice was filled with fatigue.

"President Lawson, sothing’s wrong, Miss Vera Hansen..." the caretaker replied anxiously.

The Aston Martin sped through the night roads.

Julian Lawson pressed his lips tightly together, driving all the way to Vera Hansen’s building.

He hurried upstairs.

The caretaker opened the door in a panic, leading the way and explaining anxiously, "It’s been almost half an hour since she went in, she won’t open the door no matter how much I knock, and a fruit knife is missing from the kitchen!"

Julian Lawson followed the caretaker to the bathroom door.

"Vera," he called, knocking on the door.

But there was no response from inside.

"Open up!" Julian knocked again.

Still no response.

Then, Julian took two steps back and kicked the bathroom door.

With a loud "bang," the bathroom door flew open, and Julian saw Vera Hansen lying in the bathtub, her wrists covered in blood.

"Miss Vera!" the caretaker scread.

"Don’t co near!" Vera cried out, apparently not expecting them to co in.

She was still holding the knife, looking agitated, and the caretaker dared not approach.

"Why did you co here, Brother Julian..."

Julian Lawson tightly pursed his lips, walked straight over, snatched the knife away, and threw it aside.

"Call 911," Julian instructed the caretaker.

The caretaker imdiately ran out.

Vera continued to struggle, "Brother Julian, why won’t you let die."

"If you all think I’m harming her, why stop , wouldn’t it be better for to apologize with my death!"

"Vera!" Julian tried to calm her down.

But Vera sobbed even harder.

"You’ve never loved !" she scread, "I realized it when you left today."

"I was the one who wanted all of this, not you!"

She cried as she spoke:

"I’m the one who made you stay by my side!"

"I’m the one who changed the na you saved as in your phone."

"I’m the one who made you divorce her."

"I’m the one who asked you to accompany everywhere."

"I’m the one who made you say that you love ."

Tears ran down her face, continuously observing Julian while crying:

"You never touched ..."

"Even after you divorced her, you wouldn’t marry ."

"The way you look at her is always different from how you look at ..."

She cried out loudly, her eyes red as she looked at Julian, who had his head lowered.

Seeing he still wasn’t comforting her, Vera frowned, continuing to struggle, wanting the blood from her wrist to flow more.

And she continued to cry:

"If it weren’t that I was about to die, you wouldn’t have stayed by my side from the beginning."

"Brother Julian..."

"Since the act can’t go on, why not end it here."

Vera cried until she was out of breath, but Julian remained silent, rely pressing on her wrist to stop the blood.

Vera saw that Julian still said nothing, a flicker of resentnt crossed her eyes but she hid it quickly, and she continued weeping:

"I was already a dying person, now, dying a bit sooner, what’s the difference."

"Since you love her, go back to her, don’t worry about ."

She cried pitifully, tears falling into the blood, looking very fragile.

"Don’t say foolish things," Julian finally said.

He kept his head down, his bangs covering his eyes, making it hard to see his expression.

And Vera finally smiled in satisfaction.

Just as the ambulance arrived, she smoothly "fainted."

Not long after, explosive news shot up the trending list—#VeraHansenSuicideAttempt#

Accompanied by a video of Julian carrying the bloodied Vera down the stairs, with the ambulance rushing to take over.

In the video, you could still hear Vera crying, "Why save , I was already a dying person, isn’t it better to apologize with my death than to explain?"

In the video, she cried desperately, her face paled, her wrists pressed, blood covering them.

The internet exploded.

Connor Goldsmith saw the signal and imdiately moved—

"My God, is this to the point of driving soone to death!"

"I said sothing would happen!"

"I ntioned before, Vera Hansen had only a few months left to live, pressing her like that, might truly drive her to despair."

"Yes, actually I think those speculations online were unfounded, Vera indeed didn’t know Irene was Serena Sterling, so she participated in that music show to bring strength to patients."

"Yeah, she only had a few months left to live, why target Serena? I see her actions and words were consistent."

"As for relationships, I don’t think they ever publicly announced anything, just so marketing accounts and netizens shipping them."

...

People naturally hold a reverence for life, and netizens do not want to carry the bla for cyber-bullying soone to death.

Caleb Lawson was absolutely livid.

"Butler Wyatt, prepare the car!" Old Master Lawson called to the butler, "I will personally go find him and let him know that others’ life and death are none of his concern, the only woman related to him is his wife, Serena!"

...

Not long after, Serena saw the news.

She initially didn’t pay much attention because her goal from the start was to win the "Heavenly Sound" championship, get resources, then develop her career while reclaiming her place within the Sterling Family.

The previous dia battle was just a counterattack, not to drive Vera to death.

But these matters consistently dragged her into the fray.

Fortunately, now the netizens were reflecting on the harm caused by cyber-bullying, not daring to ntion Vera and her situation anymore.

Vera would be recuperating for a while and unlikely to appear online.

anwhile, other entertainnt stars had recently sparked new gossip, shifting the heat away from this incident.

Thus, this dia battle could temporarily co to an end.

She could finally take a breather.

Just then, Serena received a ssage from Old Master Lawson—

[Don’t worry, Serena, I will ensure justice for you!]

Serena frowned slightly.

Julian hadn’t inford the Lawsons about their divorce?
