Serena finished speaking and went to hold Seraphina.

"Secretary Chaucer and his group haven’t arrived yet, after drinking, they can’t drive. Let’s take a photo, as a nto," Julian Lawson said.

A family of three takes a photo while still within the marriage period. The idea of remarriage is a matter five months later.

Holding the picture, it gives him sothing to think about.

But Julian Lawson didn’t say this out loud.

Serena wanted to refuse, but Seraphina squeezed her hand.

"The kid next door," Seraphina whispered softly.

This was a reminder that they were leaving soon, leaving only one last photo opportunity; otherwise, their visit today would be in vain.

Serena nodded at this.

Julian Lawson called over the staff, handing her the previously prepared cara.

Adjusting the angle continuously, with the background being a beautiful ocean view.

This is the best seaside restaurant in Aeston, and this private room has the best view.

Even though night had completely fallen, there were lights by the sea, making the nearby ocean view exceptionally beautiful.

"I’ll hold Seraphina," Julian Lawson reached over, wanting to pick up Seraphina.

But Serena avoided him.

"I can do it myself," Serena said with her head down, not wanting Julian Lawson to touch her child.

Seraphina clung to Serena’s neck, speaking tenderly, "I want Aunt Winters to hold ."

Julian Lawson felt quite helpless, but seeing mother and daughter like this, he reluctantly agreed.

"Click, click, click!"

So, the three of them awkwardly took the photo together.

"Alright, President Lawson, do you like it? If not, we can take it again," the attendant handed the cara to Julian Lawson.

Before Julian Lawson could say anything, Serena said, "It’s fine."

Seraphina also mumbled, "Aunt Winters, I’m tired, I want to go back and sleep."

After speaking, she yawned widely and then softly leaned on Serena’s shoulder.

Julian Lawson only had ti to glance at the cara briefly before putting it away.

He told the attendant to leave, and the three of them sat there in silence.

"When are Secretary Chaucer and his group coming?" Serena asked while holding Seraphina, "If not, I’ll find a driver myself."

"Soon, I think," Julian Lawson replied.

Actually, he hoped they would take their ti.

This way, perhaps he could have a good chat with her.

But Julian Lawson looked at Serena gently patting Seraphina’s back.

She seed unwilling to talk to him.

Serena felt a bit agitated, then suddenly rembered what Bianca Lynch had told her before, about Ethan Lynch being nearby to assist just in case.

Thinking of this, Serena took out her phone to call Ethan Lynch.

Seeing her contact note on the phone, Julian Lawson frowned slightly.

"Why call him?" Julian Lawson asked.

He himself was here, Secretary Chaucer and his group were on their way, so why call Ethan Lynch?

"To take and Seraphina back," Serena said as she pressed the dial button.

Julian Lawson’s frown deepened, reaching out to press the hang-up button.

"What are you doing?" Serena looked at Julian Lawson.

"Secretary Chaucer and his group are almost here," Julian Lawson said, "No need to call anyone else."

After they took Seraphina back, Ethan Lynch was supposed to take Serena ho.

With their cooling-off period almost over, Julian Lawson didn’t want Ethan Lynch to take her ho.

"Let my people take you back," Julian Lawson insisted.

Serena really got angry.

She didn’t want to take the photo earlier, and now this.

"Ethan is an upright gentleman, not what you think," Serena said plainly.

But Julian Lawson remained firm.

In the next mont—

"Buzz, buzz, buzz..."

Serena’s phone vibrated, with Ethan Lynch’s na flashing on the caller display.

This ti Serena quickly took the phone away and pressed answer.

"Yes, Ethan, it’s ," Serena said directly, "We’re now in the second-floor room, please co pick us up, thanks."

After speaking, she hung up and waited with Seraphina.

Julian Lawson was furious but helpless.

He thought that after saying so much and bringing her here, she would calm down at least a little.

He even sensed her emotional fluctuation earlier.

Why call Ethan Lynch over now?

Despite the years of their acquaintance, he thought he knew her, yet in just one month, he felt increasingly unsure.

Why had she beco so stubborn?

Even though she ntioned understanding that Vera Hansen hadn’t been ill for long, she was still upset.

"Serena," he called her na, but she continued to hold Seraphina without speaking.

Julian Lawson wanted to say sothing when the door beside them was knocked on.

Serena imdiately moved to the door with Seraphina.

Opened the door.

But she saw three people.

Ethan Lynch, Secretary Chaucer, and the female driver Secretary Chaucer brought as a backup chauffeur.

Ethan Lynch quickly walked in, standing beside Serena and Seraphina.

Secretary Chaucer looked a bit perplexed at the situation.

Hadn’t President Lawson instructed him to bring a female driver over to help with driving?

Why was Ethan Lynch here?

Moreover, based on the atmosphere, particularly Julian Lawson’s gaze towards Ethan Lynch, it was quite terrifying!

"President Lawson, we..." Secretary Chaucer hesitated but asked.

"It’s alright," Serena spoke up. "Ethan happens to be nearby; he’ll take back, so no trouble for Secretary Chaucer."

She had worked with Secretary Chaucer before and had a pleasant experience; she didn’t want to trouble him, especially since Julian Lawson called him and his group over.

"Ethan, could you fetch my bag and Seraphina’s backpack?" Serena said to Ethan Lynch.

From start to finish, Julian Lawson was treated as if not present.

Ethan Lynch nodded, glanced at Julian Lawson, and went to get them.

Julian Lawson watched as Ethan Lynch retrieved Seraphina’s backpack and brought Serena’s bag over.

Then, the two prepared to leave.

"Serena," Julian Lawson called her na again.

Serena didn’t respond, just followed Ethan Lynch down the stairs.

Though he had once treated her incredibly well during their youth, even saved her life, she had dedicated seven years and two children.

That’s how relationships are sotis.

When deeply in love, one believes they will never part.

Love strong enough to risk one’s life.

Yet truly letting go can happen in an instant.

Once a decision is made, once truly resolved.

It can be done.

Serena, holding Seraphina, went downstairs, arriving at the parked car.

"President Lawson?" Secretary Chaucer and the female driver looked around hesitantly.

"To the car," Julian Lawson said coldly and quickly went downstairs.

As Serena’s car started, Julian Lawson was already seated in the back of the Maybach.

The female driver drove, Secretary Chaucer sat in the passenger seat, nervously glancing at Julian Lawson through the rearview mirror.

"Follow them," Julian Lawson said.

He wanted to keep watch.

Until Ethan Lynch left Serena’s side.
