Chapter 62: The Generals
Fang smiled, his eyes cold as a sword mysteriously appeared in his hand.
Without turning, he said to the five disciples behind him.
"You guys can go ahead and rescue the people inside. I’ll handle these ones."
Fellin nodded, then imdiately led the girls into the bandit base.
"You’ll regret coming here."
The Reaper Agent suddenly said, dashing at Fang with insane speed.
The long-haired youth easily blocked his attack with a sword.
Clang!
Fang effortlessly forced the masked man back, his eyes narrowing.
His gaze shifted to the Dark Lord.
"So you were being sponsored by the Reapers? No wonder your bandit group is so strong."
No one answered him with words, but with attacks.
The Dark Lord gripped a large battle-axe, then charged at Fang.
The Core Disciple swung his own sword, waves of icy air escaping from it.
Before the Dark Lord even reached him, he was assaulted by a bone-chilling cold. He fought back by wrapping himself in flas, then clashed with Fang.
Clang! Boom!
Ice and fire t, and there was a loud explosion with steam and vapor being released.
Fang’s eyes narrowed, and he whispered. "Snow Blizzard."
A terrifying wind blew around him, growing colder and colder with each passing second.
Snow began to form in it, and in half a minute, it had beco a terrifying snow blizzard.
"Go!"
Fang thrust his hand forward, and the blizzard shot at the Dark Lord.
The old man reacted instantly, creating a huge fla tornado.
The two elents moved towards each other like agents of destruction, then tore into each other.
The ground was violently ripped apart, debris and sand flying everywhere.
While Fang was focused on controlling the snow blizzard, he noticed sothing at the corner of his eyes.
’A sneak attack? Then it’s not from my left. This is a decoy.’
Raising his sword, he turned to the right, successfully blocking an attack that was aiming for his head.
As expected, it was the sneaky Reaper.
Seeing that his attack had failed, he imdiately retreated.
However, Fang wasn’t really to let him go.
He swung his thin sword, sending a sharp, ice blade straight at the masked man.
While the Reaper seamlessly turned around to block, the elental contest between the ice blizzard and the fire tornado ca to an end with a destructive explosion.
The four generals of the Dark Lord were forced to step back, unable to help.
"Damnit! What kind of power is this?! This disciple is also a Master Stage cultivator?!"
The huge man who had been chasing Dera yesterday complained, his eyes fixed on the battle between Fang and the Reaper Agent.
The masked man was elusive, dodging every attack with ease.
However, Fang also didn’t seem to take this seriously.
He leisurely chased after the masked man, shooting ice blades at him and running around the field.
Suddenly, a fireball shot at him, and he instantly created a wall of ice to protect him.
It was soon shattered by a battle-axe, with the old man bursting out and ready to chop off Fang’s head.
"Heh!"
The disciple sneered, swinging his sword to et the old man’s battle-axe.
Clang!
Unexpectedly, the Dark Lord was sent flying, flipping in the air and barely landing on his feet properly.
’What the... did his strength increase?’
He looked at his weapon, only to realize it had been frozen solid.
"Tch!"
He scowled, pouring flas onto it and lting the ice away.
Glaring at Fang who had already engaged the masked man again, the Dark Lord gritted his teeth and turned to the generals.
"You fools! What are you doing standing there? Go capture those disciples in our base. We’ll use them to stop this boy."
The four generals nodded enthusiastically, then imdiately dashed into their base.
anwhile, the Dark Lord readied himself as he turned back to Fang.
’The Reaper is still testing his strength and probably trying to wear him down. However, I’ll definitely have revenge for my n!’
Holding his battle-axe wreathed in flas, he charged and joined the battle.
...............
anwhile, as soon as Fellin and the girls entered the base, they were attacked by the bandits that didn’t co outside earlier.
"Hmph!"
Seraph snorted, impaling the one that had dared attack her, with sharp icicles.
In just a few seconds, the bandit was dead.
Tamar lowered her head, looking at the thick earth that had covered her leg and held her in place.
"Ahhhhh!"
A bandit shouted, leaping from the wall and swinging his hamr at her head.
Tamar glared at him, then moved her hand slightly.
Before he could reach the ground, an earth spike shot up, and he was impaled mid-air.
Fellin exhaled a cold breath, then enlarged his fan.
A single sweep from that weapon dispersed all the elental attacks coming towards them, even sent the attackers flying.
"Everyone, stick together! We’re heading to the kitchen first. Ariana, lead the way!"
The silver-haired girl nodded, her expression solemn.
Holding her sword in her hand, she created her signature water dragons, then had them fly by her side defensively.
"Over here!"
A few bandits appeared to block them, shouting for reinforcents.
However, Ariana was ruthless. Before anyone could even react and attack the bandits, her dragons surged forward, biting down on the bandits’ heads and tearing them off.
Their bodies collapsed to the ground, lifeless.
Ariana coldly passed by, not even stopping to glance at them.
Soon, they arrived at the kitchen.
Just like she described, there were won in the building, huddled together and shaking.
’Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone take you this ti.’
Ariana’s blue eyes shone with determination as she stood before the won.
Fellin looked around and paused. "We can’t have them moving around with them. They’ll be targeted and killed."
Ariana’s eyes widened in realization, looking at the terrified and skeptical expressions of the won.
"Then I can stay behind and protect them while you guys get rid of the bandits, right?"
Unfortunately, Fellin didn’t agree.
"We can’t do that. I don’t want to risk leaving one of us behind. What if you get caught and used as a hostage? Do you understand why I’m not willing to let you stay behind now?"
Ariana’s eyes trembled, and she tried to argue.
"B-but..."
Tamar quietly placed a hand on her shoulder.
"We’ll co back for them. Let’s make the surroundings safe first."
Ariana nodded with a sad expression, then turned to the won.
She didn’t know what to say, so Fellin spoke to them instead.
"You guys should lock the doors as soon as we leave. Unless you hear any of our voices, do not open the door."
Sensing his good intentions, the won grew less wary and stepped forward, bowing to the disciples.
"T-thank you."
Fellin nodded, then led the other four disciples outside.
"Now, let’s head over to that chaotic building I ntioned."
They hall headed straight to the other building nearby. Thankfully, there was no bandit around to block their way.
Outside the base, a violent explosion went off, making everyone freeze and look over.
Fellin’s heart tightened.
’Is Big Brother okay?’
Without any answer to the question, he led the disciples into the building that was familiar to him.
There were still bags of provisions and stolen goods like cereal and corn, but they had significantly reduced.
’Hmm, let’s continue searching.’
They checked the building, eventually arriving at the infirmary of the bandits.
About seven injured n are won were laid on the beds, all wrapped in bandages.
Before anyone could speak, earth spikes shot from underneath the beds and pierced the stomach of the injured, killing them all.
Fellin glanced at Tamar, his eyes narrowing.
’So ruthless. I’m appalled.’
A smile appeared on his face, but disappeared imdiately.
He swung his fan, raising an ice shield behind them.
Boom!
Sothing slamd into the shield, almost breaking it apart.
"Tamar, destroy the walls! We need to break out!"
He shouted hurriedly, wondering who was strong enough to crack his shield so quickly.
Tamar did a quick work of the walls, collapsing them to the outside and allowing the disciples to escape the building.
The person who had attacked them from behind also broke the ice shield and ca out.
It was the huge man who had injured Dera yesterday.
"You...!"
The black-haired girl was imdiately enraged upon seeing him.
Beside her, Sera took a sickle from her storage ring, her expression frigid.
The two siblings wanted revenge.
Fellin’s brows lowered, and his spiritual sense spread out, instantly asuring the man’s cultivation level. The huge man was a Peak Advanced Stage cultivator.
’Oh? They can handle him together then.’
Leaning back, Fellin whispered.
"He’s all yours."
The two sisters imdiately dashed at the man, their expressions turning vicious.
anwhile, Fellin’s eyes turned to the side, catching sothing streaking towards them.
Before he could react, an earth wall rose to his side, blocking the attack. Although the wall was shattered, it had successfully cancelled the attack.
Seeing three special bandits rush towards them, Fellin confird sothing.
The bandit generals had co for them.
