Her tone was neither light nor weighty and couldn’t even be described as a rebuke. But Jason was sweating coldly nonetheless. He had forgotten sothing important: violence was forbidden in Card City. A player who used spiritual power to attack others would face the penalty of being banned from competition. Being banned at such a critical mont, even if there were substitutes for a player like Jason, would undoubtedly be pushing Shaliye into a fiery pit.
Not entirely willing, Jason suppressed his spiritual power, hung his head, and said, "I’m sorry, Miss Celia."
He had hoped Celia would stand up for him, but instead, she said, "This lady is correct. This is your fault; you should apologize, Jason. Now, please apologize to the Mount Flower Association."
The people of Shaliye were surprised. Celia usually seed indifferent to everything. But now, with an S-Rank and an A-Level Spirit Card Master in conflict, was she actually demanding that an S-Rank Spirit Card Master apologize?
Jason’s expression turned rigid. "Why?"
Celia, impatient to explain, simply tilted her chin up, an expression of indifference clearly written on her delicate face. "Apologize!"
The voice was imbued with condescension. Jason’s face turned red in an instant. Having to bow his head in front of a group of A-Level Spirit Card Masters was a huge embarrassnt for him, especially since it was his own people causing it.
He looked up. Wen Jiang had one hand on the table, propping up her cheek, lifting her eyelids, and watching him nonchalantly, clearly not taking him seriously. That expression made Jason feel an unprecedented humiliation.
All eyes were on Jason’s face. Holding onto his indignation and anger, Jason could only grudgingly say, "I’m sorry."
It wasn’t sincere, and even filled with a sense of sha, but to the people of Mount Flower, it still seed incredible.
An S-level Player from Shaliye actually apologizing, and to a group of A-Level players at that—it was quite the novel sight.
Not only was Celia a star player, but she was also Nobility. Her request for Jason to apologize was itself sowhat unbelievable.
The commotion settled with Jason’s apology, and Mount Flower began to eat quietly.
Tang Qian found it unbelievable. "What was Celia thinking?"
Wasn’t this just publicly slapping Jason in the face?
Wen Jiang, however, didn’t pursue the matter. Zero Egg was sowhat perplexed, "This Jason seems quite afraid of Celia. He’s already starting to hate you and even contributed two emotional points, yet he still held back."
Wen Jiang said, "She just doesn’t want Jason to cause trouble." From the mont of apology, Celia hadn’t even looked towards Mount Flower. Subconsciously disregarding Mount Flower, she naturally didn’t care about Jason either. It was just that at this critical point in the competition, this woman didn’t want any further trouble. If I hadn’t confronted Jason, he would have gotten away with just a few idle remarks, and she would not have stepped forward to demand his apology.
This may have seed like an insignificant episode, but Jason’s resentnt was far from insignificant. However, now in Card City, he obviously couldn’t do anything.
And as Mount Flower defeated Shaliye, the Card Association, their next opponent, seed less daunting. While Mount Flower smoothly advanced into the top thirty, subtle changes were also occurring dostically.
After Wen Jiang handed over the Divine Beasts data to Yan Moling, progress was finally made following a period of research.
Creating cards for the Azure Dragon and the White Tiger couldn’t be expected in a short ti, but at least so peculiar cards had been developed. This was because the information Wen Jiang provided also included so legends she recalled about ordinary mythical beasts, such as the Queqiao, Huan, Tiangou, Luan Bird, Shengyu, and records of other similar creatures. These were all recollections Wen Jiang had herself, without detailed data. She had rely pieced together a rough idea based on similar legends she had heard, but at least they all t the standards for creating cards. Knowing the general range of their abilities made creating cards much easier.
This matter involved Yunxia’s mythological civilization, and Yan Moling was under a great deal of pressure. Previously, Yan Moling had felt that if Wen Jiang could create cards, her team could too, especially since Wen Jiang had turned over all the detailed information. However, the cards Wen Jiang made were sowhat different from the information she had provided. But at least the legends of Hou Yi shooting the sun could be verified. Therefore, when Yan Moling applied to the higher-ups to create a separate official website for Wen Jiang to explain these Yunxia civilizations, she faced considerable pressure.
Yunxia’s card resources were now even scarcer than others. Overseas, there were at least keystone cards that could anchor their strength, but Yunxia’s situation was more severe—the more cards they lost, the more detrintal it beca. It wasn’t that so Nobility didn’t want to contribute their SSR Cards; rather, they simply couldn’t be repaired anymore. SSR Cards suffered significant damage with each use, and the likelihood of repairing them decreased accordingly. Many powerful cards were mostly used rely as symbols of heritage. For instance, the Jimo Family’s Cang Xing Die was a pri example; this was especially apparent within the Jimo Family. The SSR Cards currently popular in the market also had subtle differences in strength.
It had been so ti since Yunxia’s mythological civilization was introduced, especially with the rich content in its Chapter Three, yet not a single new card had been created. The higher-ups had already expressed their dissatisfaction. Thus, the information Yan Moling obtained about the special considerations given to Wen Jiang was an unexpected boon.
In the midst of the heated competition, the military brought good news to Yan Moling: "Soone has created a new card from that batch of information you provided."
Yan Moling was imdiately invigorated. This was surely the best news she had received recently. "Really? What kind of card?"
"An A-Level Spirit Card Master created it: Shark People."
"Shark People?"
Yan Moling was taken aback, then suddenly rembered the description of Shark People in the information: they were skilled in weaving and capable of producing Dragon Silk that remained dry even in water. Their tears could turn into pearls, and furthermore, oil from Shark People could be used to make everlasting lanterns.
This was a sowhat cruel-sounding legend, but similar rmaid rumors already existed in the West. After all, the Shark People described in the legends were mysterious creatures with fish tails and human torsos, very similar to rmaids. However, Western rmaids lacked an orthodox basis and couldn’t be used to create powerful cards, only appearing as R-Rank Cards. But since a Shark People card could be created, it indicated that the two must be substantially different. Yan Moling quickly asked, "What level?"
"A-Level," the person delivering the ssage said excitedly, "And the Spirit Card Master who made the card utilized the Shark People’s characteristics to create two features: one is Tears into Pearls, where their falling tears can heal Card Spirits, and the other is an eternally burning fla. The abilities aren’t as complex as those created by *that* Spirit Card Master, but its power is quite good. It’s a new card that can handle both damage output and healing."
Damage output and healing combined!
Yan Moling was extrely surprised. This ant their direction was correct! A significant part of Yunxia’s civilization was indeed still missing and had yet to be created.
In the past, it was very difficult to create cards with two such opposing features.
