In the training room, Wen Jiang sat in a chair, her eyes half-closed, as if she were asleep.
In reality, she was petting a gigantic seven-tailed fox.
The fox, as large as a person, lay on the ground, being stroked by Wen Jiang, its eyes narrowed in pleasure. With pink fur laced with white, it was an exceptionally beautiful fox.
This was Su Daji’s transford state.
Shi Qi watched Wen Jiang petting the fox, a touch of envy in his eyes.
Summoning a Card Spirit consud spiritual power. A-Level cards could vary in size, but the consumption of spiritual power remained the sa. They could occasionally summon them to pet like animals, but keeping a Card Spirit present for an extended period was not feasible.
Unlike Wen Jiang, who petted her Card Spirit as casually as one would a pet. Su Daji had been present for half an hour, yet Wen Jiang showed no signs of fatigue.
The Card Spirits from cards Wen Jiang created always had a consciousness that was sowhat more flexible and expressive than others, though that was the extent of the distinction.
When Tang Qian entered, she rely glanced at Wen Jiang before announcing the arrangents for the next match. "Next match, we’re up against the Holy Beast Association."
Shi Qi and the others’ eyes widened. "We’re facing them so soon?"
Tang Qian didn’t seem overly concerned. "Matchups are random; we could be paired with any association at this point. There’s no need to be nervous. We’re currently undefeated, so losing one match unexpectedly wouldn’t be the end of the world."
It was a points-based system, not a single match determining victory or defeat.
Chen Runyu and the others imdiately understood Tang Qian’s implication. "We’re not using the new cards?"
Tang Qian shook her head. "Releasing five new cards during the selection matches would be too much. Stick to the previous plan: try to secure the Moon Palace Card Set if possible. If not, BAN it."
Shi Qi muttered, "Can’t we win without new cards?"
The Holy Beast Association’s chances of winning were certainly higher than theirs; their strength was evident. Their deck was more powerful than Mount Flower’s, as they were accustod to aggressive damage output. This made them a natural counter to Mount Flower, which specialized in attrition and stacking card effects.
Dou Yuan now had almost blind faith in Wen Jiang. His eyes shone with conviction as he looked towards her. "That’s not necessarily true. We have Jiang Shen with us."
Hearing this, Wen Jiang looked up, a faint smile playing on her lips. "I’ll be using Support Cards this ti. I want to see how well you perform against the Holy Beast Association."
Dou Yuan was speechless. "..."
The faces of the other four turned deathly pale.
Her words made it sound as if Wen Jiang was assessing their strength, which seed sowhat arrogant, but deep down they knew she was serious. She had the capability to back it up. She wanted to see how well the other four could perform against such a formidable association if she only used Support Cards. The Holy Beast Association probably wouldn’t use their ace cards right away. However, if they faced them in the selection matches and the four of them, even with Wen Jiang’s divine-level support, couldn’t gain a significant advantage, it could deal a heavy blow to their morale. After all, the ones lagging behind would be the four of them, not Wen Jiang.
Tang Qian didn’t object either. "Don’t feel too much pressure. I’ve seen your progress during this period. If you can achieve unexpected results in this match, then I’ll be confident in your performance in the World Tournant. Continue training. If you want anything to eat, I’ll have soone take your orders."
Shi Qi said, "Order a milk tea, please."
The other three also specified what they wanted to eat.
Seeing that Wen Jiang hadn’t spoken, Tang Qian asked her again, "Wen Jiang, what about you?"
Wen Jiang shook her head. "I don’t want anything to eat; I have so things to take care of later."
She was waiting for a reply from Yan Moling.
Tang Qian nodded and left.
Yan Moling’s response ca quickly. Wen Jiang stepped aside to take the call. Yan Moling’s voice was tinged with excitent as she said, "The Empire has agreed. We will grant your account unique permissions on the card website; you’ll have your own section. So, how do you want to proceed?"
Wen Jiang thought for a mont and said, "I’ll draw a serialized comic."
This was the simplest and most direct approach: with text and images readily available, it could greatly expand the audience’s imagination.
Yan Moling was curious about what kind of story Wen Jiang would create. Suppressing her excitent, she said, "You just need to log into your account to see the permissions. The comics will first be reviewed by the Empire; you understand that, right?"
"I understand."
During their training that afternoon, Wen Jiang began the first phase of serializing her Yunxia comic.
She gave the comic story the straightforward title of "Yunxia Ancient Civilization."
There were too many versions of Yunxia’s mythology, such as Nvwa creating humanity and Pangu separating heaven and earth. In many versions, so gods didn’t originally exist and were added in later eras.
Still, it represented a significant aspect of the vast Yunxia civilization. In a world reliant on card battles, Wen Jiang planned to compile the versions featuring the most ’gods’ into a main storyline. It would be excellent if they could uncover more evidence about these civilizations later.
The main lines of transmission for the current Yunxia civilization existed, but all related corroborating evidence had been lost.
For instance, discovered remnants of the Xia and Shang civilizations, as well as the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, only offered brief textual ntions. An example was Li Huijun’s Kun, which she imagined from a segnt of "Carefree Roam."
Without more substantial evidence, it was difficult to prove the splendor that these eras once possessed.
Civilization periods like the Xia Dynasty, for which records were already scarce a thousand years ago, were largely lost to history, leaving only fragntary traces of words and phrases.
Books and evidence that could represent the transmission of civilization had been thoroughly destroyed. Perhaps evidence still remained sowhere in the world, but Yunxia had not yet found it.
Drawing directly on a computer would be rather botherso. At this mont, Zero Egg, which had mostly been useless in her mind, began to show its value.
Wen Jiang could use Zero Egg to draw directly online, generating images with her ntal power, which was much faster than using conventional tools.
Zero Egg, finally finding a chance to be useful, rarely got to stand tall. It said, "Host, I am quite useful after all! If you were to draw on a computer by yourself, how long would that take? Besides, you might not even know how to use those kinds of computer tools."
Wen Jiang rely lifted her eyelids slightly and clicked her tongue.
Since she wanted an era rich in deities, Wen Jiang thought for a while and first selected so widely known figures:
Pangu and Nvwa.
Both were creator gods. Pangu separated the heavens from the earth and transford into all things in existence. The Celestial Court ford in the heavens, and the Underworld ca to be beneath the earth. Nvwa created humankind and guided the developnt of civilization. The first humans she created beca prospective Immortals for the Celestial Court and the Underworld. Eventually, Nvwa gradually withdrew. As a result, the world descended into chaos, and Immortals began to appear on the lands of Yunxia. From then on, an era began where gods, yao, the Underworld, and the Demon Clan coexisted.
The first scene Wen Jiang drew was Pangu separating heaven and earth.
