Akashi was at the cafeteria, looking at his food while talking with the Police Chief.

After the rumors about them having a thing had spread, Lin no longer acted as if their thing was secretive, and she was getting bolder by the day.

Despite the fact that she was stealing his food now, Akashi's mind was sowhere else, as he was paying attention to the rumors.

It had almost been a month since his deal with Tarrlok, and the ti and date had been agreed on.

And during that ti, let's say that they had been using each other.

And currently, Akashi was hearing about him from the mouths of the other officers around him.

Despite having their distance, he could now distinguish air and sound because he was a bender of those categories.

"Have you heard about it?"

"The triads are now losing power."

"Yeah… but it's quite scary."

"Why is that?"

"You ask why? Are you dumb?"

"Hey, I'm not updated because I had a week out. What happened?"

"Amon, the Equalists, did a revelation. They took mbers of the triads, criminal organizations, and took their bending away, in front of the people. Amon is now more popular than ever."

"That's quite absurd power, to take people's bending. How did he acquire it?"

"He said that the spirits taught him because they believed in his cause?"

"Nah… that's bullshit."

"Yeah, my guts are telling that too."

"But isn't it scary. What if our turn is next…"

Akashi drank his water calmly while closing his eyes, savoring the taste.

As a police officer who hated the triads, and as Amon needed so people to use for his revelation, Akashi had decided to help him.

After all, there was all kinds of organized cri. He had seen the files in Amane's office. He had known that so could be solved, and others would not. The criminals would escape, or leave for another organization. And if they left jail, they would be more experienced, desired criminals for hiring. They may bribe the judges or use their influence to get free from the charges.

And worst, they could get out of jail by blaming soone else. They can always recruit new benders. That's how many hopeless cases in organized cris were. But by working with Amon, Akashi had guaranteed that without their bending, even if these criminals sohow got off the hook, they could never do harm again. The mbers that would have their bending taken away could never join another criminal organization.

You may be wondering what he had to gain from all of this.

Well, there were two things.

A complete satisfaction.

And the most important thing…

Experience points.

Man, leveling up was getting harder by the day.

-Flash Back -

The lieutenant of the anti-benders, supposedly, held his sticks and gave signs to the chi blockers.

Tonight, they were about to have so official job of kidnapping mbers of the Triple Triad for their revelation.

Akashi stood, wearing a black mask with green shiny goggles that allowed him to see through the darkness.

Just as a sign of trust, Akashi had asked Amon to let him in. His excuse was to see how the anti-benders work, and to see if they had any funny ideas.

But the truth was that he wanted so ass to kick and to accumulate experience.

And so, as they began, Akashi started fighting against a triad made of benders from all kinds.

The attack held the elent of surprise, and their approach was overwhelming.

Akashi found himself to be the hardest working one among them.

Send fire in his way, water, earth, and even lightning. He'd manage to react in ti and punch soone unconscious out.

The lieutenant had stared in the direction of the newbie. He wondered what kind of monster Amon had discovered.

This man didn't do chi blocking. Instead, he blocked the awareness of the others by punching them in the face.

It had reminded him of the ti that they ambushed that airbender and failed miserably.

Even until today, it still made him feel sore.

As for the resemblance in their style, the lieutenant didn't believe that Amon would include a bender in their operation, so he didn't push it any further, and focused on his job.

Such operations continued happening, with them kidnapping organized cri mbers, as they had gained a new information source that even allowed them to locate the galvanizations that the police couldn't.

Little did they know, that the police was helping them. He was not helping the specialized departnt.

And at the end of the arrests, Akashi had managed to get another level.

Needless to say, during those arrests, Akashi was trying his best to resist the gambling addiction he had developed.

Sure, he didn't know if Korra would win or not.

But what he knew is that the Wolves Team, so team that antagonized Korra, would make it to the final.

Their winnings only increased his money by 30%.

But nevertheless, he knew that 30% each ti is an exponential growth rate, and he had bet with 10 million. They won around 5 before reaching the final, turning his capital into 37.12 million yuan.

Akashi had made more money from gambling on the sports than he had ever done by laundering his money.

Matter of fact, it didn't seem that he would need to launder his money anymore.

And knowing the future events, even slightly, wasn't that useless in this world.

'Tonight is the night,' he thought to himself, for tonight is the day of the plan with him and Amon to shake off the Earth Queen. Or that's how it is supposed to be. Whoever stabs the other in the back first, that's sothing that has yet to be known. But it's obvious that they would co to target each other back.

"What's in your mind?" asked Lin.

"Flesh, I think," replied Akashi.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm asking about the thoughts, you moron. You seem to be distracted these days."

Akashi chuckled, "Is that so?"

"Yeah. You're not showing up early to work, and leaving early, as if you have other plans." She replied.

Akashi put his hand on her shoulder. "You have to believe in ."

"For what?" she asked.

Akashi looked at her seriously.

"No matter what you hear, you need to believe that I'm alive." He said.
