Chapter 53: Players Build a City! The Eve of the Storm!

When Mophis finally broke free from that strange yet shaful state, she felt as though her entire being was on the verge of collapse.

It wasn’t a ntal exhaustion, but rather… in a certain sense, a kind of “over-satisfaction” of the body.

She collapsed weakly onto the carpet, gasping for air, her blush refusing to fade from her cheeks. She didn’t even dare to look at Ignis’s expression—she could tell with her toes alone that the dragon’s gaze must be terrifying right now.

What the hell was that just now?

A BUG?

It was the clash of two attributes, “Dragon’s Origin” and “Holy Light Affinity,” catalyzed by The First Song, which triggered an unknown code conflict!

The effect was… a dragon-specific attack that created a ntal-pleasure aura?

She had no mory of ever setting up sothing like this!

Mophis felt her worldview had once again been rewritten.

She, a programr reborn as a BOSS, really had far too many BUGs on her body. And each one was more ridiculous, more… indecent than the last.

“Very… good…”

A hoarse, almost inaudible voice drifted over from the bay window.

Mophis stiffly turned her head, and what she saw made her heart skip a beat.

Ignis was still lying on her side, but her posture had changed. She clutched the silk blanket tightly, her body curled slightly. Her fla-like long hair was a bit ssy, sticking against her flushed cheeks, while her skin glead with a damp sheen under the sweat and lamplight.

Her golden eyes shimred with watery brilliance, her gaze hazy, locked firmly onto Mophis. That gaze no longer carried the scrutiny or amusent from before, but instead, a hunger.

A hunger like a desert wanderer spotting an oasis, like a starving wolf spotting prey—raw, undisguised hunger.

“From today on, every night, you must ‘chant’ for like that once.”

Mophis: “……”

Again?! You’re addicted to this, aren’t you?!

She had no doubt that if she kept “chanting” like this, one day she would be swallowed alive by this dragon. Not physically eaten, but in another sense of the word “devoured.”

No, she had to find a way to divert her attention!

Mophis struggled to get up from the floor, forcing herself to sound calm as she said, “Today… today’s ‘miracle’ has already been displayed. I… I need to go sort so books.”

Finishing her words, she practically fled in panic, bolting out of the room that felt like an imminent death trap.

Ignis didn’t stop her. She rely extended her pink tongue, lightly licking her dry lips. Deep in her golden eyes, the fla nad “possession” burned ever brighter.

Mophis, who had escaped to the first-floor hall, finally felt like she was breathing the air of freedom again.

She leaned against a cold bookshelf, panting heavily as she tried to calm her pounding heart.

Too terrifying—that woman was far too terrifying.

She had to improve her strength quickly, at least to the point of having so self-defense ability. Otherwise, staying near that dragon would destroy her sooner or later.

She once again opened the players’ forum, trying to see what those degenerates were chattering about to distract herself.

However, the forum’s direction had already shifted away from “late-night benefits” and “Dragon Concubine CP,” toward another topic—grander and far more intense.

【Final voting results are out! We’ve decided! We’ll build the city right here!】

【City na revealed—‘Mophisia’! Inspired by our wife’s na, this will be the glory of our city!】

【City-Building Committee established! Now recruiting architects, planners, and enchanters! Let’s build our holy city together!】

Reading these fever-pitched posts, Mophis’s head buzzed.

Build a city?

They really planned to build a city here?

And they even used her na as the inspiration for naming it? Did they even ask for her permission?!

Mophis felt her blood pressure rise. She could already imagine the expression on the face of the chief operator, Pangu, far away at the operation center when he saw this result.

The GM’s “open sche” had once again collapsed—in an even more absurd way.

Not only had he failed to lure the players away from the library’s surroundings, but instead, they had dug in even deeper, even receiving “official recognition” at the system level.

This wave—this was truly losing both the wife and the soldiers.

Mophis could already picture Pangu spewing blood and roaring with red eyes in the eting room.

Although she felt so schadenfreude, her heart was more filled with worry.

The GM’s plan had failed—would he let this go?

Absolutely not.

Next ti, what ans would he use against her?

While Mophis fretted, the outside world had already undergone an earth-shaking change because of the players’ decision.

Under the organization of several major guilds, tens of thousands of players poured into the construction of “Mophisia” with unprecedented enthusiasm and efficiency.

The president of the 【Building Beautification Division】, Ingenious Beyond Compare, a dwarven grandmaster architect, was currently standing on a high platform, spittle flying as he pointed to a huge blueprint and barked orders.

“The First Ring Road! The First Ring Road must surround the Library Fortress! This is called the ‘Holy City Inner Ring’! Only mbers with outstanding contributions to the Knights’ Order are qualified to live here!”

“Comrcial district goes to the east! All shops must have a unified style! That kind of… yes, classical, mysterious, academic style! We are a city of culture—we can’t look like nouveau riche!”

“Expand the residential district southward! Every ho must be built so that its windows can see the spire of the Library! This is called ‘Holy Light View’! Understand? It raises the residents’ happiness!”

Under his command, countless players used system-provided tools to flatten land, dig foundations, and build city walls.

The scene was lively, comparable to a massive real-world construction site.

And as Mophis had expected, GM Pangu was indeed in the operation center’s eting room, trembling with rage as he stared at the monitoring screen showing the rising outline of the city.

“Mo! Phi! Si! A!”

He spat out the na he loathed through gritted teeth.

“Manager… what do we do?” one GM cautiously asked. “The players have already started building the city, and their enthusiasm is unprecedented. We… we can’t just issue another announcent claiming the update was a BUG and take it back, can we?”

“Take it back?!” Pangu slamd the table. The special alloy table bore a clear handprint where he struck. “That would only make us the laughingstock of the entire server! They’d think we can’t afford to lose!”

He forced himself to calm down, his mind racing.

At this point, there was no stopping it.

Once the tide of players ford, it could not be resisted.

If that was the case…

“Then… divert.” A cold gleam flashed in Pangu’s eyes.

“You want to build a city? Fine, I’ll let you build!”

“Pass down my order.” He raised his head, glaring at the trembling GMs. “Imdiately add a new system rule to the backend data.”

“Once a city is established, a ‘City Lord’ must be elected. The City Lord must be a ‘Player’.”

“And transmit the coordinates of ‘Mophisia’ as ‘urgent intelligence’ to the Royal Knights of the Central Kingdom, St. Orleans.”

“I want to see,” Pangu’s face twisted into a cruel smile, “when the kingdom’s regular army appears before a ‘lawless city’ without a legal ruler—one occupied by a calamity-class dragon—”

“How will your BUG, and your so-called ‘Knights’ Order, et their end!”
