"Damn, Sun Wukong?!"

Gray Rain exclaid, the image of a head trapped under a cannon was indeed reminiscent of Sun Wukong under the Five Finger Mountain.

"What Sun Wukong, please, just get out of here, okay?!"

The Latino man with a buzz cut and beard kept shaking his head, tears and snot flowing, evidently on the brink of a ntal breakdown.

"Shh, shh, shh."

Li Cheng stepped forward, covered his mouth, and compared his photo with the GOC database, "Jose? Protheus’ external mber?"

Amidst the man’s incoherent and extrely tense narration, Li Cheng understood what had happened.

Jose Gonzalez, Salvadoran, Lv11, originated from the local gang-like guild [Red-haired Pirates]. After the guild leader was assassinated by a rival faction, the whole gang fell into chaos, and Jose was recruited by Protheus as a temp after it disbanded.

(Not sure when this tradition started, but many guilds in Central and South Arica take nas from ani, like Brazil’s Seven Warlords of the Sea, Argentina’s Thirteen Court Guardians, Guatemala’s Horse Girls, Colombia’s Luo Fu Immortal Boat, Venezuela’s West Wind Knight Order, all quite abstract)

Two weeks ago, Jose was, as usual, exploring the killing field with his team.

While chasing a rare beast in the slum with a bounty of 7,000 Ga Coins, he was blinded by greed and left the team, accidentally stepping into a space teleport trap.

After blinking, he ended up here, captured by a bipedal beetle and stuffed into this bio-constructed cannon.

Li Cheng and Gray Rain exchanged a glance; a bipedal, six-ard beetle was undoubtedly the Insect Lord Demon infected entity shown in Zhangsun Yao’s video.

Many previous assumptions had to be overturned; the infected entity was not just a low-intelligence beast acting on instinct but a highly intelligent being capable of creating biological labs in unknown ways.

Gray Rain held a hamr, staying alert, while Li Cheng squinted and asked Jose, "This is part of the killing field entity, right? That beetle imprisoned your body but not your brain.

Why didn’t you log out of the killing field or contact friends through the player panel?"

"I tried, but it’s impossible."

Jose’s expression was worse than crying, "Whenever the thought of [logging out of the killing field] pops up in my head, my consciousness just scatters.

The sa goes for friend communication.

I absolutely can’t reach out for help or use skills to escape."

It was clear the Divine Calamity infected entity was very familiar with the player’s individual panel chanisms.

Fearing Li Cheng might abandon him, Jose hurriedly added, "I’ve been keeping track of ti; that beetle leaves for four to five hours every day and brings back native creatures from the killing field each ti.

It just left two hours ago. If you rescue now, we can escape before it returns.

Please, if you save , I’ll give you all my assets and even sign a Magic Contract with you! If not, help contact my companions once you’re out..."

"Shh, quiet."

Li Cheng raised his hand to interrupt Jose’s babbling and circled the cannon twice.

Gray Rain, still in place, curiously asked Jose how he had managed his two weeks there, wondering if he used iced tea bottles for it.

This cannon had advanced technology completely at odds with its hideous exterior, a masterful achievent in bio-modification,

using parallel extraordinary creature ligants as rails, tallized bones as bullet armatures, and electric organ-like power sources akin to electric eels for high-efficiency power,

it was essentially a Biological Electromagnetic Cannon.

Even more chilling, the electromagnetic gun was alive.

Drawn from various extraordinary creature organs, connected by a fungal carpet, it efficiently absorbed oxygen mont by mont. There was no rejection response between the parts, naturally fused together.

"What’s wrong?"

Seeing Li Cheng staying silent, Jose frantically asked, wanting to turn his head but unable due to restricted neck movent.

"Close your eyes first."

Li Cheng’s expression was subtle. He pulled out tape from the warehouse, taped Jose’s eyelids and mouth shut, then took a Steel Banner Spear and pressed it against Jose’s neck, stabbing into the Biological Magnetic Rail Cannon.

As expected, below Jose’s neck, there was no shoulder or neck. His entire body had been absorbed by the Biological Magnetic Rail Cannon,

Dense light yellow nerve bundles, like cables, penetrated through Jose’s skin dermis, reaching up to his head.

Li Cheng gently pressed Jose’s hind skull, and with a "crack," Jose’s skull caved in as if it were made of tofu — his entire brain had disappeared, broken down and integrated into the Biological Magnetic Rail Cannon.

"Oh my... gosh."

Gray Rain gasped, "Doc, can he still be saved?"

He can’t be saved, just wait for death, farewell.

Li Cheng silently released his grip. [Assembled Puppet·Modified] had impressive special effects, capable of undead resurrection, but the prerequisite was that the subject had so original parts left.

Jose’s entire brain had dispersed and integrated into the Biological Electromagnetic Cannon, its exact location unknown,

Even if Li Cheng inserted a CPU or mory card into his skull, the mont his head disconnected from the biological electromagnetic cannon, he would crash on the spot.

After restarting, the "resurrected" Jose would be a blank slate, undoubtedly no longer the sa person as before.

Li Cheng removed the tape and pondered, "Your situation is quite complex, exactly how severe it is will depend on the situation."

Jose was utterly baffled, "How, how severe?"

"Not too severe, probably at the level where they might na a disease after you,"

Li Cheng consoled, "Better call in the expert team from the Demon Scientist Alliance, maybe they can save your soul."

"Huh?"

Jose was on the brink of tears, knowing that when the Evil Science Alliance had to get involved, it usually ant the patient was beyond conventional help and it was ti to consider a new form of life existence.

Gray Rain also reassured, "Being a ghost isn’t so bad, actually. I know a professional spirit who ran away with a custor, collaborating with others to kill her oppressive madam before leaving. The client she married later beca a civil servant in a national departnt, and they have two children, living happily ever after."

??

Li Cheng was full of question marks, "Where did you see this short video toxic chicken soup."

Gray Rain justified, "A Chinese Ghost Story. Isn’t Nie Xiaoqian the nightclub drink pusher?"

...Alright then.

Li Cheng was about to bend down to inspect the biological electromagnetic cannon further when he suddenly sensed sothing, swiftly tossing out the Steel Banner Spear, piercing Gray Rain’s chest.

Despite the chest piercing, Gray Rain never doubted that Li Cheng would harm her. Instinctively, she lifted the Skull Shattering Hamr, swinging it with full force three ters behind her into the void.

Clang!!!

The loud noise echoed throughout the entire floor, as Gray Rain felt the recoil force on her hand,

In the previously empty space, the optical camouflage slowly dissipated, revealing a red, nacing bipedal beetle.
