"Dad, what did you say?"

Zheng Zhihua snapped awake with a jolt.

Amid the confused looks from Liu Feng, Qiu Fei, and the others, Zheng Zhihua beca extrely excited. "The bigwig from the mountaintop villa is here?"

"Yes, they’re here. Ever since I saw people there last ti, I’ve had the driver secretly keeping an eye on the place."

Zheng Ping was equally excited; he had waited a long ti for this day.

He was lucky to have gotten this far, which only strengthened his belief that fortune favors the bold. Since the bigwig from the mountaintop villa had arrived, he had to latch onto them no matter what. If he failed, the worst that could happen was that he’d be stuck in his position as deputy district chief of Jiangbei until he died, or perhaps get transferred and forced into early retirent. But if he succeeded in forming a connection, even just by becoming a familiar face, it would be the Zheng Family’s ti to rise to prominence.

"Hurry up and co with . This is an opportunity for our Zheng Family."

Zheng Zhihua put down his wine glass and was about to follow when Zheng Ping stopped and looked at the vibrant young people before him.

He recalled the driver’s description: the arrivals ca in a high-end red sports car and a brand-new Range Rover. The people driving those kinds of cars couldn’t be the old patriarch or the second generation; they were most likely juniors from the third generation. His reasoning was simple. Young people liked to hang out with other young people, and the youths of the Xiao Family would surely enjoy being flattered and feeling like the center of attention.

Zheng Ping called over to Liu Feng and the others. "Co on, let’s go together. You young people have common interests; maybe you’ll hit it off. Getting to know the third generation of the Xiao Family could be the best opportunity of your lives."

"The Xiao Family? I heard people at the Yunqing Club talking... isn’t that Chen Yang’s backer?"

"This... are we really qualified to et the bigwigs of the Xiao Family and ride their coattails?"

"Hey, if we manage to latch onto the Xiao Family, could we beco as powerful as Chen Yang? Powerful enough to bring the Lord of Jiangbei, Chen Yulong, to his knees with a wave of a hand?"

"Uncle Zheng is really sothing else."

"..."

Liu Feng and the others buzzed with excitent, unable to believe such a golden opportunity had fallen into their laps. For a mont, they were lost in daydreams.

In a corner, the sullen Yu Junfei suddenly clenched his fists, his expression electrified.

He felt that perhaps this was his only chance to surpass Chen Yang and get his revenge. What if the bigwigs from the Xiao Family took a liking to him? He was sure his own qualifications were far better than Chen Yang’s.

Thinking of this, he cast a resentful glance at the lonely figure of Huo Lili not far away. She seed lost in thought. He cursed through gritted teeth, "Bitch!"

No one knew the depths of the humiliation and psychological damage Huo Lili had inflicted on him back in the private room.

"Dad, taking them with us... this..." Zheng Zhihua began, feeling that sothing wasn’t quite right.

"It’s fine, I have it all under control." Zheng Ping was brimming with confidence, feeling that his plan was flawless. "Let’s go, let’s go! Don’t just stand there. If they leave, we’ll miss our chance."

Just like that, under Zheng Ping’s lead, the convoy of luxury cars, carrying handso n and beautiful won, raced excitedly toward the mountaintop.

The convoy stopped near the summit as Zheng Ping’s driver ran out from a quiet side path. "District Chief, one car left. I didn’t dare get too close. I only saw two young won driving away. There’s still a red car and a new Range Rover in the parking area."

"I understand. You can go back now."

Zheng Ping let out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding. As long as not everyone had left, it was fine. "That was close," he murmured.

Zheng Zhihua also relaxed, having feared they had all gone.

And so, the convoy pulled into the parking area outside the mountaintop villa.

At that mont, Zhou Hao, who had just returned to his car for a drink of water, frowned when he saw so many cars arriving. He quickly got out and walked over to investigate.

"Wha- why is it you? You’re not dead?!"

Having just stepped out of his car, Zheng Zhihua’s eyes went wide at the sight of Zhou Hao walking toward them, seemingly alive and well. It was like seeing a ghost.

He looked at the villa ahead, and seeing Zhou Hao here, a terrible premonition blood in his heart. "You... why are you here?"

"That guy... wasn’t he beaten to death by Chen Yang?"

"He was probably just knocked out, right? Chen Yang wouldn’t dare kill soone in front of so many people."

"Look, isn’t that car Song Lingxue’s?"

"..."

Liu Feng and the others were just as shocked, and soone recognized Song Lingxue’s car.

Seeing Zhou Hao, the terrible feeling in Yu Junfei’s gut intensified. Zhou Hao was one of Chen Yulong’s n, and Chen Yulong had already knelt before Chen Yang. Now, Zhou Hao was here, and Song Lingxue’s car was here too. The implications were undeniable.

In Huo Lili’s beautiful eyes, however, a strange glimr appeared. For so reason, her heart began to flutter with anticipation.

"Zhihua, who is he?"

Zheng Ping was puzzled. He had no idea what had happened at the Yunqing Club, so he couldn’t understand why Zheng Zhihua and his classmates were having such a strong reaction to seeing this Zhou Hao.

"He..."

Zheng Zhihua’s face was grim. This world is too damn small, he thought.

"Heh, you sound disappointed that I’m still alive." Zhou Hao hadn’t expected the newcors to be the sa clueless brats from the Yunqing Club. He smirked at Zheng Zhihua. "What’s this? Did you bring your daddy here to back you up?"

"You... I..."

Zheng Zhihua was choked speechless. Zheng Ping’s expression soured. It seed things weren’t going as he’d planned.

Beside them, Liu Feng and the others looked on with awkward embarrassnt, utterly lost.

"Zheng Ping, is it?" Before Zheng Zhihua could speak, Zhou Hao turned his disdainful gaze to the older man and taunted, "Deputy District Chief Zheng, are you here to stand up for your son?"

"May I ask who you are?" Zheng Ping suppressed the alarm and panic in his heart, bowing slightly as he asked politely.

His subservient attitude sent a wave of panic through Liu Feng and the others. After all, Zheng Ping was the deputy district chief of Jiangbei District, a titan in their eyes. Yet now, this titan was bowing and scraping before Zhou Hao, who was clearly just a low-level lackey. That, combined with the red car they suspected belonged to Song Lingxue, was more than enough to terrify them.

Yu Junfei was so scared he wanted to turn and flee. He didn’t want to see Chen Yang. He was afraid he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from lunging forward and killing him. That damned beast... he had made his girlfriend, Huo Lili, so loose down there that she felt neither warm nor tight anymore. And on top of that, she had insulted him for it. How could he possibly endure this?

"I am..." Zhou Hao was just about to smugly announce his new status.

"He’s one of my n."

At that mont, Chen Yang’s calm voice drifted over...
