Kidnapping? Trafficking?!
These were major accusations. While there were plenty of clues that Houser had indeed sold her and he was even involved in criminal activities, the others didn’t seem involved at all, which was the only reason they could still walk around at all.
How we, even if there was no clear proof yet, if these accusations get out and is spread by soone who didn’t like them (and there were a lot of them) this could explode and beco an indelible stain in their reputation!
Worse, there were reporters stationed there and those buggers’ eyes were sharp their ears practically twitching.

Ginna, who had been so stressed and humiliated the past week, imdiately went on defensive mode and spat out.
"Did the old man fuck you so hard that your head exploded with nonsense?!"
People gasped at the crude language, and Naia sniffled again.
Internally, she sneered.
Luke, at so point, had already shielded her from the evil glares from the mother and daughter.
Carina, however, wasn’t as stupid as her mother. She imdiately changed her tone, sobbing at a click of a finger.
"That’s not what mom ans! You know that! We have been harassed so much since my father was frad. You won’t put that against her, right?"
But, really, how could Naia let it go?
Naia looked pitiful but brave, and she peeked behind Luke’s large fra. She ignored the hypocritical Carina and stared straight at Ginna.
"I will also sue you for slander! I have everyone as my witness. I can even get checked and prove my virginity. I will sue you for pimping out!
"I only wanted to be left alone! You won’t even let , wuuuu!"
Naia summoned all the acting skills and techniques she learned from the braindead dramas she watched the past two weeks.
She didn’t care if it looked like she was acting; her words were heavy enough.
"I just want to live my own life. I can consider not pursuing it, but I’m afraid I won’t survive. I don’t even have money on ."
"Please let call a lawyer. No, reporters! Please call reporters!"
"NO!"
At this point, it was clear that the girl was determined to pull them down, as if not caring about her own reputation!
In the end, the ’family’ of three went to the interrogation room to negotiate. They had two officers with them to serve as witness.
Carina could only grab her mother’s arms, trying to calm her down. The woman was gritting her teeth painfully, but she also realized that snapping at this ti would only make things worse.
Carina wanted to go crazy. She was already trying to recover, even attaching herself to an infamous playboy and catering to his perverted needs.
She had marketed herself as an innocent victim. If a case appeared out of nowhere, who knew if that her attractiveness would plumt in that man’s eyes?
Ginna knew her daughter’s movents and belatedly realized what could happen.
"What do you need?" Ginna asked, voice squeezed so much she sounded like she was being strangled.
"One hundred million."
"WHAT!?"
Even Carina couldn’t sit still. "Sister, please be reasonable. Even if you think you’re unloved by father, you don’t have to squeeze us like this. We do not have that money!"
"Then sell your shares. So of those should’ve been mine anyway. You enjoyed what you stole for long enough, don’t you think?"
"You—"
"My mother built that company, didn’t she? I deserve that at least. Actually, I deserve everything, but I was leaving so to you...but I’m starting to change my mind.
"I keep thinking maybe you two even murdered her—"
"SHUT UP!" Ginna scread, looking guilty.
In fact, Ginna and Houser didn’t kill her mother directly. However, the overwork and the stress, especially after finding out about the infidelity, certainly took a toll.
This wouldn’t hold on court at all, but there were plenty of ways to vilify them. This was especially risky for people who valued face and reputation so much.
"I heard he made deals with so...questionable people," she said, and the two won flinched.
Of course they knew, and this fact grated on their nerves. "Didn’t you know? His case involves a weapon dealership now."
"Don’t you rember that I clean after you guys a lot. I may know so things that will implicate your entire family for several generations. I don’t know what I need to calm down."
She said this and Ginna finally got what she wanted to say. "A hundred million is too much...I can pay ten million—"
"I’m pretty sure the company is valued much more than that. I can fight you for the shares I deserve. You know, I transferred those to Houser’s na back then, but I was only a minor. He could get a whole new case with that."
She could even apply to void the transfer, but that would take forever.
"Two hundred million," she said. "That’s the current value of the shares. I want that now."
"!!!"
"Or...we can retain a million as long as you can give it now. Oh, and I also want the yacht."
Everyone else: !!!
Carina literally had to cover her mother’s mouth to stop her from spewing expletives.
Naia did not doubt that Kael had prepared one or two yachts, but she still wanted to have one in her space to feel reassured.
"I’m not going to force you..." she said with a drawing tone and then aningfully looked at Luke as if excited to spill so beans.
"Fine!" Ginna said in the end. "But you better not say anything disadvantageous to our family anymore!"
They even signed contracts in the police station.
Naia shook her head at the lady. Didn’t she know that so blatant cris, even if the victim decided to settle, would still be pursued?
They still talked about it in the police station.
Fortunately, the policen were kind enough to play along.
Tsk, tsk. It seed like the sperm donor chose Ginna because she was a pretty dodder who didn’t have any brains, ignoring his capable first wife.
As for Carina, she definitely felt sothing was wrong, but she didn’t have the ti to absorb the changes yet.
Anyway, just like this, she gained another hundred million and a yacht
