Chapter 57: Chapter 57 Finding Her

DAMIEN’S POV

I drove straight to the club after leaving Sophia’s parents’ house.

My wolf was a ss inside . We couldn’t find our mate. We couldn’t track her. We couldn’t even get her family to tell us where she was.

The club was one of my properties. It was a high-end establishnt where pack mbers and wealthy humans mixed. Here, I usually felt in control. But today, walking through those doors, I felt anything but controlled.

The staff recognized

imdiately.

Heads turned and conversations stopped. People moved out of my way as I walked through the main room toward the private section in the back.

There, I saw Simon in the back room with a few other pack mbers. They were drinking, laughing about sothing. The laughter died when I walked in. Simon smiled at .

"Hey man-" Simon started.

"Everyone out." I growled. "Except Simon."

The other wolves left instantly. They knew better than to question an Alpha’s command, especially when that Alpha looked ready to tear soone apart. The door closed behind them, leaving

alone with him.

Simon frowned. "What’s going on? Did you find Sophia?"

"No. I didn’t find her." I moved closer to him. My wolf was pushing forward, wanting to dominate. "But I found out so interesting information about how she ended up in Millbrook Falls. She indirectly told

she was transferred there and she believes I have sothing to do with it.”

Simon’s smile fell. "What do you an?"

"Don’t play stupid with . I know you were involved. This has your fingerprints all over it." I stopped right in front of him. "What I want to know is why. Why did you do it without telling ?"

"I was trying to help." Simon held up his hands.

"By sending my wife away? By making decisions about my family without consulting ?" My voice rose. "You had no right."

"She was getting too close to that doctor, Lance or whatever. I was just trying to keep them apart. I’ve seen them together.”

"So you decided to interfere."

"I decided to create distance, to make it harder for them to see each other. That way, it’ll give you ti to fix your marriage without a distraction. I arranged for the hospital director to send her to Millbrook Falls. It was supposed to be temporary, just long enough for you to sort things out with her."

"You overstepped!" The words ca out as a roar. My Alpha command leaked through, making Simon flinch. "You don’t make decisions about my family. You don’t do anything without my explicit permission. Do you understand?"

He looked genuinely regretful.

"I’m sorry. I thought I was helping."

I moved closer again "You’re going to fix this right now."

"What? How?"

"You’re going to call the director and get Sophia’s actual address in Millbrook Falls."

Simon hesitated. "Maybe we should—"

"Now, Simon or I swear to the goddess, I’ll break your neck."

Simon pulled out his phone. He dialed a number and put it on speaker. The director answered.

"Mr Simon? This is unexpected."

"Director Morrison. Sorry to bother you. I need so information about Dr. Sophia’s transfer. Specifically, her new address in Millbrook Falls."

There was a pause. "That’s confidential employee information. I can’t just give that out."

"It’s important. Her husband needs to reach her about a family ergency." Simon glanced at . "Please. It’s urgent."

Another pause. I heard typing. "Alright. But this is highly irregular. She’s renting an apartnt above Chen’s Pharmacy on Main Street. Number 2B."

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

Simon hung up then looked at . "There. You have the address."

"Good. You’re coming with ."

His eyes went wide. "What? Why?"

"Because you’re going to see exactly what your interference has caused. And then you’re going to help

fix it." I turned toward the door. "Get in the car....now!.
