Chapter 202: Chapter 202 Like I Did Not Exist

SOPHIA’S POV

The mont Damien told

to tolerate Tasha, sothing inside

broke in a way I couldn’t fix. I stood there in the kitchen, staring at him, trying to understand how he could say those words so easily.

The porridge I had made for Ashley was still spread across the floor, slowly cooling, forgotten by everyone except .

My chest felt tight, like sothing heavy was pressing against it, and my wolf stirred.

“You want

to tolerate her?” I repeated.

Damien frowned, as if he didn’t understand why I was reacting this way.

“Yes,” he said firmly. “There’s no need to make this bigger than it is.”

That was it. sothing snapped inside .

That single sentence shattered whatever control I had left.

“No need?” I shrieked. “No need, Damien? She deliberately ruined the food I made for Ashley, and you’re standing here telling

it’s nothing?”

Tasha stood behind him. Her expression was still pitiful, but I could see the satisfaction hidden deep in her eyes. My wolf growled softly inside . I felt anger spreading through my body like fire.

“You’re overreacting,” Damien said.

I laughed, but there was no humor in it.

“Of course I am,” I said bitterly. “I’m always the one overreacting, right?”

“Sophia-” he started.

“No,” I cut him off sharply. “Don’t say my na like that.”

The room felt tense. My hands trembled slightly, and before I realized what I was doing, I reached for the spoon on the counter beside .

“You never listen,” I said. “You never once stop and think about what I’m going through.”

“That’s not true,” he replied.

“It is. It’s always been true.”

The anger inside

rose again. It was fueled by years of silence, years of being overlooked, pushed aside, ignored. My wolf pushed forward, making my emotions even harder to control.

“And today just proves it,” I continued. “Even when it’s about Ashley, you still choose soone else.”

“That’s not what I’m doing,” he said

“Then what are you doing?” I demanded.

He didn’t answer imdiately. That silence was all I needed.

Before I could stop myself, I lifted the spoon in my hand and swung it toward him. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t controlled. It was pure emotion.

The tal hit his forehead hard.

Everything froze.

Damien staggered back slightly. His hand moved to his forehead. A small cut had already ford. A thin line of blood appeared where the spoon had struck him.

I stood there, breathing heavily, staring at what I had just done.

For a mont, no one spoke.

Tasha gasped dramatically, stepping back.

“You hit him!” she said. Her voice was filled with fake shock.

Damien looked at . His expression turned dark. His eyes were filled with sothing I couldn’t fully read.

But I didn’t apologize. I couldn’t.

“Good,” I said quietly. “Now maybe you’ll finally feel sothing.”

He glared at

“Sophia, you’ve gone too far,”

I shook my head slowly. “No. I just finally stopped holding back.”

The room felt suffocating, like the walls were closing in on . I couldn’t stay there anymore.

“There’s nothing left between us,” I said.

Damien’s expression shifted slightly.

“Nothing,” I repeated. “Except Ashley.”

Those words felt final, like a line I had finally drawn.

I turned without waiting for a response and walked out of the kitchen. I didn’t stop. I didn’t look back.

Outside, the air felt colder but it helped clear my head just a little. My wolf was still restless, still agitated, but there was also sothing else now. I felt a sense of distance.

I got into my car and drove away without thinking too much. I didn’t go back to make another porridge. I didn’t have the strength to face that kitchen again.

Instead, I stopped at a small shop along the way and bought ready-made fish porridge. It wasn’t what I wanted to give Ashley, but it was all I could manage.

As I drove to the hospital, my chest felt heavy again.

I didn’t know what I was walking into.

When I entered the ward, Ashley was already awake, sitting up in bed. She looked much better than before, though she still seed weak.

I felt so relieved.

“Ashley,” I called softly, walking toward her.

She looked at . Her expression changed a bit.

“I brought you porridge,” I said, holding up the container.

Her eyes moved to it, then back to .

“I don’t want that,” she said.

I paused.

“It’s fish porridge,” I said gently. “You said you wanted it.”

“I want the one you made,” she replied.

Her words hit

unexpectedly. I started to feel guilty, even though it wasn’t my fault.

“I... couldn’t bring that one,” I said softly.

“Then I don’t want it,” she said stubbornly, turning her head away.

My chest tightened.

“Ashle-” I started.

“No,” she said firmly. “I only want the one you made.”

I stood there, not knowing what to say. She wouldn’t understand what had happened.

“I can make it again later,” I said.

“I don’t want it later,” she replied. “I want it now.”

Her voice grew more upset, and I could see the frustration building in her small face.

“You didn’t make it,” she added.

The accusation in her voice hurt more than anything. She actually thought I didn’t make it because I didn’t want to.

“I tried,” I said quietly.

But she didn’t listen.

“Go away,” she said suddenly.

The words felt like a knife.

I froze.

“What?” I asked softly.

“Go away,” she repeated. Her voice was louder now. “I don’t want you here.”

My wolf went still inside , completely still. I could hear the sounds of my heart breaking into pieces inside .

I didn’t argue. I couldn’t.

Slowly, I stepped back. My heart ached with every step. I moved toward the corner of the room, standing there quietly, trying to give her space, even though it hurt.

Just then, the door opened. Damien walked in.

And behind him, Tiffany walked in. Ashley’s face lit up instantly.

“Tiffany!” she called out. Her voice filled with excitent.

Before I could react, she had already climbed off the bed and ran toward her.

Tiffany smiled warmly, bending down to catch her.

“Careful,” she said gently. “You’re still not fully well.”

Ashley hugged her tightly, as if she had been waiting for her.

“I missed you,” Ashley said.

“I missed you too,” Tiffany replied softly.

I stood there, watching.

Every part of

felt like it was being torn apart slowly.

Ashley didn’t even look at , not once. It was like I didn’t even exist.

My hands tightened slightly at my sides, but I forced myself to stay still.

I didn’t belong in that mont. That much was clear.

Without saying anything, I turned and walked out of the room.

No one stopped . No one called my na.

The corridor felt empty as I walked through it. My steps were slow now. My mind felt numb. My emotions were drained.

By the ti I reached my car, I didn’t even rember how I got there.

I went to work.

I didn’t think. I didn’t feel. I just worked.

Patients ca and went. Voices filled the space around , but everything felt distant, like I was watching it all from far away.

Even my wolf was quiet, too quiet.

By the ti night ca, my body was already at its limit. But I didn’t stop. I kept going until I couldn’t anymore.

When I finally returned ho, the house was dark and silent.

I stepped inside slowly. My body was heavy. My head was spinning slightly.

The mont I reached my room, my strength gave out. I collapsed onto the bed. My breathing was uneven.

My body felt hot, too hot. My vision was getting blurry. I also noticed how my body ached in different places.

Oh no.

This was definitely a fever.

I tried to move, but I couldn’t.

My limbs felt weak, my vision blurred, and my head throbbed painfully.

My wolf stirred inside , but even it felt weak.

For the first ti in a long while... I had nothing left to hold onto.
