Chapter 72

In the early morning.

Rorschach got up, got dressed, and gently tucked the blanket around Nojiko.

As soon as he entered the hall, he saw Nami standing there with a mischievous grin on her face.

Oh boy, so this was the "surprise" you ntioned? Selling out your own sister. Though Nojiko probably agreed to it willingly.

He just didn’t know when these two girls had secretly planned this behind his back.

He walked over, pinched Nami’s cheek, and gave her a aningful look that said: "If you have more surprises like this in the future... please arrange a few more."

After breakfast, the crew gathered in the hall for a leisurely chat — sothing they hadn’t done in a while. Rorschach said they would stay on Skypiea for a while longer, so there was no need to set sail. Everyone relaxed.

However, their daily strength training was never neglected.

"Captain Rorschach, you ntioned before that there should be a Poneglyph on Skypiea, right? When can we go explore that area?"

Robin walked over and sat down beside him. She was eager to decipher the Poneglyph.

Unfortunately, Rorschach had been busy eating yesterday, so it got delayed. Otherwise, she would have wanted to explore the ruins of Apayado yesterday.

"The Poneglyph? I think it’s at the bottom of the Golden Bell."

Robin’s reminder jogged Rorschach’s mory. He had told her earlier that there was a Poneglyph on Skypiea recording the location of Poseidon.

So much had happened that he had almost forgotten. Now that Robin ntioned it, he answered directly.

The others weren’t particularly interested in the Poneglyph, but since they had nothing else to do, they followed along.

When they arrived at the location of the Golden Bell, they saw the Poneglyph embedded at the base of the bell.

Looking at the massive stone tablet before her, Robin’s heart filled with excitent. She stepped forward, gently touched the surface of the stone, and began carefully deciphering its contents.

Suddenly, she noticed a line of text carved on the gold beside it.

"I ca here and brought this text to the end of the world. — Pirate King Gol D. Roger"

The Pirate King! Had he also co to Skypiea?! Why would he leave such words...?

After seeing the signature, Robin broke out in cold sweat and took two steps back. She never expected the Poneglyph to be connected to the Pirate King.

"What’s wrong, Robin? Are you okay?"

The other girls noticed Robin’s reaction. They couldn’t imagine what could scare her so much.

Was the content on the stone tablet really that shocking? Their curiosity was instantly piqued.

When they stepped closer, they also saw the text carved on the gold beside the tablet, but they didn’t understand what it ant since it was written in ancient script.

"What does this an? It looks like it was carved later? It’s not part of the Poneglyph."

The girls asked curiously.

"That was left behind by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, right?"

Rorschach spoke up at that mont.

"What?! The Pirate King!" The girls exclaid in shock. Everyone knew the na of the Pirate King.

"Captain Rorschach! Can you read ancient script too?!"

Robin asked in surprise. From what Rorschach had said before, he had never been to Skypiea. So how did he know about this text? It couldn’t have been the Golden Lion who told him, right?

"I can’t read it. But the text was clearly carved more recently. The Poneglyphs are connected to the secrets of Laugh Tale, and throughout history, only one person has ever reached Laugh Tale. So I guessed it was sothing the Pirate King left behind while searching for the Poneglyphs."

Rorschach said with a smile. As for saying he knew because he watched the ani — the girls wouldn’t understand sothing that far beyond this world’s common sense.

After Rorschach’s explanation, the others finally understood.

"So that’s what a Poneglyph is. Now I understand why Sister Robin had such a high bounty even when she was a child."

"Maybe you really can beco the next Pirate King, Rorschach."

Nami said with so emotion. Robin’s importance was simply too great.

"I have no interest in being the Pirate King. Like I said before — if I want to beco a king, I’ll beco the King of the World!"

Rorschach said disdainfully. As a transmigrator with a system, his vision was far greater than that.

He felt that if he ever got truly bored in the future, he would overthrow this world, rebuild order, and beco the King of the World.

Nami and the others didn’t argue. They had witnessed Rorschach’s growth. When they first entered the Grand Line, they thought his words were unbelievable.

Now, it seed very possible that he would actually achieve it. The man before them had grown far too quickly.

After Robin made a rubbing of Skypiea’s Poneglyph, Nami and Karina imdiately dragged Rorschach off to go treasure hunting.

Most of the gold was inside Enel’s palace, but the ruins still contained a massive amount.

The Lord of the Sky Noland’s stomach only had a small portion, but Rorschach didn’t let it go. After beating it up, he picked up the giant snake and shook it like he was emptying trash.

Countless ruins stones mixed with gold poured out of Noland’s mouth. Apayado truly deserved its na as the Golden City.

Rorschach had no idea how much gold he had obtained here. He was probably richer than the Golden Emperor now. Nami and Karina were smiling even in their dreams.

And so, they spent a few more days on Skypiea.

"Ha!"

Mikita swung her umbrella like a sword, smashing it fiercely toward Nami.

However, Nami faced the incoming attack with a light smile. She used lightning teleportation to appear behind Mikita, then lightly tapped her with a finger. A powerful electric current struck Mikita.

"Umm~"

After the hit, Mikita let out a miserable cry, followed by a sound that made one’s face flush and heart race.

"Hahahahahaha, you lost again." Nami laughed triumphantly.

The defeated Mikita looked unwilling, but there was nothing she could do. The gap in strength between her and Nami was too large.

Now that Nami had obtained the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, she was even stronger. Just helping Nami get familiar with her fruit ability had already resulted in countless defeats.

Nami could now be considered the strongest combatant in the crew besides Rorschach.

Although she and Karina were evenly matched and couldn’t really hurt each other, when it ca to enemies, Nami’s destructive power was far greater.
