At this mont, the blue zone began to shrink, and since they still hadn't found Jiang Siming, Style had no choice but to give up and planned to lead his team away.
He left the AE86 to one of his teammates, while he and another teammate went to take a different vehicle.
In professional matches, vehicles are highly valued, and typically each player tries to have one.
They clearly wouldn't give up this well-maintained and fast AE86.
However, just as another teammate got into the AE86, an arrow pierced through his head.
After knocking him down, Jiang shot another arrow, hitting him square in the rear to finish him off, and imdiately relocated.
The audience was laughing out loud—Jiang Siming's tactics were so mischievous, and the way he used the crossbow was no less effective than a sniper rifle, with each shot landing precisely.
The AFF players were being driven insane by Jiang Siming's tactics, desperately searching around but finding nothing.
The sound of a crossbow is extrely quiet, and if you're a bit far away, you can only determine the enemy's direction by the flight path of the arrow's tail.
But Jiang knew this well, so after every shot, he imdiately changed positions, making it impossible for AFF to track him.
With two teammates already down, AFF had lost half of their strength.
Style finally decided to give up, gritting his teeth and telling his teammates to leave. They didn't even dare to take the AE86 anymore.
The AFF team completely fled. They knew that 4am had already secured their spot in the next round, so they could afford to play aggressively, but AFF couldn't.
So far, AFF only had 9 points in this group stage, and if they kept this up, they might not even surpass OMG.
Seeing that the enemy had retreated, Jiang Siming stopped hiding. He erged from the stone pile and gleefully looted the two boxes.
He even picked up a skill item: [Lip Reading Mastery], and updated his gear.
From the start, he had only been using a crossbow—no helt, no vest, completely bare-bones.
Now with the two loot boxes, Jiang Siming rummaged through them.
He considered switching to a rifle and a Kar98k, but then he thought, "I'm already going all out, so why take things so seriously?"
In the end, he only picked up the Kar98k, grabbed so more crossbow bolts from the containers, and set off with the Kar98k equipped with a suppressor and an 8x scope.
"Is Ming God really not picking up a rifle? I saw those two AFF players had rifles," Cheng Hui remarked in confusion.
He had never seen soone play so wildly. If you picked up two sniper rifles, that'd be understandable, but why bring a crossbow along with a sniper rifle? Could it be that he's addicted to using the crossbow?
That seed likely, knowing Jiang Siming's eccentric personality.
Jiang wasn't in a rush to enter the zone—he had plenty of healing items and wasn't afraid of taking damage from the blue zone.
He drove from G Harbor to the outskirts of Uptown, parking the car behind a house and hiding behind a tree by the roadside.
He hadn't seen any vehicles leave Uptown earlier, so he figured the RGS players were still inside.
It was only the first circle, and the map was still big, so there was no point rushing out. He might as well camp here and see if he could catch the RGS team.
He had over twenty arrows left, along with a quiver.
The quiver allowed for faster crossbow reloads—many players had played for so long without even knowing what a quiver was for.
With [Crossbow Mastery], Jiang was thoroughly familiar with the crossbow's functions and chanics.
This skill was sothing he had obtained during the Strongest Strear Tournant, and he hadn't expected it to co in handy during the World Championship. ??
If he hadn't just picked up this crossbow from the container, he might have been surrounded and killed by now.
Jiang was thinking about checking for an airdrop later, hoping to get a ghillie suit, which would make him the ultimate stealth player.
While he was pondering this, he heard the sound of a vehicle coming from Uptown—his enhanced hearing imdiately picked it up.
A jeep was driving out of Uptown, with two players inside.
There weren't many vehicles in Uptown, so they had to double up.
Jiang didn't care how many were inside—if there was fish on the hook, he wasn't going to hold back.
Sneakily, he poked out his head a bit, adjusting the crossbow's aim as the vehicle moved.
When the jeep was 200 ters away from him, he decisively fired!
Thud!
A long-feathered arrow silently pierced the driver's head.
"Whoa! Ming's mastery of the crossbow is on par with his sniping skills—it's so accurate!" the comntator exclaid in awe.
Being a great sniper is one thing, but to use a crossbow like this? It was truly eye-opening.
Since PUBG's inception, no one had ever gotten a kill with a crossbow in a tournant.
Even in public gas, very few people would bother picking it up.
The ga's designers were planning to buff the crossbow in the next patch, but seeing Jiang Siming's performance, they scrapped that idea.
The crossbow had just been cleared of all its unjust accusations~
After knocking down the driver, Jiang noticed the player's ID—it was indeed from the RGS team.
Jiang Siming reloaded his crossbow, intending to finish off the opponent, but the other RGS player imdiately used the vehicle as a shield, blocking Jiang's line of sight.
"Oh, blocking , huh? Fine, I'll just throw a grenade," Jiang Siming shrugged and smiled. He switched to a grenade, aid it in the direction of the enemy, and sprinted as far as he could while tossing it into the sky.
To ensure the grenade would reach them, Jiang ran ten ters closer and even jumped as he threw it. Right after tossing the grenade, he turned and dashed into the forest, disappearing from sight.
Boom!
The grenade exploded, and the second RGS player was knocked down, while the teammate who had been hit by the arrow turned into a loot box.
"Ah, damn it!!!"
You could imagine how frustrated RGS felt.
The remaining two teammates, who had rushed over to help, imdiately spread out their vehicles, using them as cover to form an impenetrable fortress.
"Where is he?" RGS captain ntenl quickly asked.
"Not sure, he seed to be in the 80 direction, but now we don't know where he is," replied the knocked-down teammate.
"Captain, let's surround him. It's that annoying Chinese player Ming!" one of the teammates suggested.
Getting knocked down by a crossbow was a huge humiliation for them.
But ntenl didn't think that way. He calmly shook his head and said, "Revive him, and let's get out of here."
"Why? He seems to be alone. I can't swallow this insult," the teammate said, frustrated.
ntenl replied, "4am has already secured their advancent. If he dares to co alone, it ans he's not afraid to die. Just now, two AFF players died at his hands. He's only here to ss with us, to prevent us from getting points."
Hearing this, the teammate realized it made sense and decided to help their fallen comrade.
But just then, Jiang Siming, from a distance, started shooting out the tires of their vehicles with his crossbow.
Thud, thud...
All they could hear were the sounds of tires being popped, without any clue where the shots were coming from.
By the ti the downed teammate was revived, all their vehicles had lost a tire.
Originally, Jiang Siming had intended to leave, but the first teammate he killed dropped a loot fragnt, and it was blue.
This was the first blue fragnt he had encountered, and Jiang didn't want to miss it, so he decided to stick around and keep bothering them.
After reviving their teammate, RGS no longer dared to stay any longer. They quickly drove away.
Though one of the tires was flat, the vehicle could still move, albeit slower and with less steering control.
Fortunately, they were driving on a flat road, or they would have been in serious trouble.
