Chapter 83: True Prowess Of Song Liangxue
Ye Jun went through a hectic month, using all the ti to improve and catch up to Ye Chen and others. It led to him ignoring so things he wouldn’t have normally noticed.
Now that he was free, had ti, and could experint, he was discovering new things. As he was processing the Fallen Star Sword Art, he realized he could actually learn all of it by himself.
In layman terms, he basically got the foundation ready to make a building upon picking an attribute of so technique. From there, he had two options to complete the building entirely.
Either he could steal the materials from others or buy his own. In the cultivation sense, he could either copy the attributes to progress faster and with less effort, or simply push forward with his own effort.
The second thod was difficult to accomplish, but it left open room for him to progress. A good thing since he couldn’t get those attributes indefinitely.
"Is that so?" Song Liangxue raised an eyebrow. "Then your innate physique is getting more and more ridiculous. Normally, one has to know more about the technique to progress on their own, but you’re different."
Ye Jun nodded. "Indeed. What about you? How did your testing go?"
"More than half of my reserves," she said, turning eastward. "I can probably use it eight more tis. If I had used the full Fallen Star Sword Art, then things would be different."
He nodded in understanding and followed her gaze. They could see the bright light of dawn approaching them, aning they would have to stop here. They had plans of eting Han Yuexin the next morning, after all.
"I didn’t get to see all the forms," Ye Jun said, a bit disappointed.
"I’ll show you before we leave," she smiled and said. "I can recover on the way."
"Really? Thanks a lot," Ye Jun blinked in surprise.
"You know, sotis the way you speak feels odd," Song Liangxue said. "Any reason for it?"
’Oh, she caught on quickly.’ Ye Jun smiled. "Nothing in particular. It just helped
be a bit different from others in the clan."
She gave him a long look before nodding. "Stand at the edge."
Ye Jun did as he was told and stopped at the island’s edge. From there, he turned back to see her preparing to perform all the forms of the Fallen Star Sword Art.
She drew her sword again, its slender blue blade shining in the brilliant light of the twilight. Then she brought it down in a familiar motion, and this ti Ye Jun could actually follow her movents.
’Impressive.’
"Fallen Star Sword Art. First Form: Starfall Slash!"
A bright streak of light chased away the lingering darkness and exploded in the pond, rattling the water surface yet again. However, she didn’t stop this ti to repeat the exact sa form again.
Instead, she followed it with the next set of movents as her voice echoed on the empty island.
"Second Form: teor Edge!"
Multiple arcs of bright light ford above her, covering the sky, then descended on her command. The sharp sword-like arcs split the pond easily, revealing the deep pit underneath.
Ye Jun watched everything, transfixed. The second form was much more powerful than he thought.
’AOE attack! And a very strong one.’
Song Liangxue took a step forward, her body moving in graceful steps as she said, her voice calm, "Third Form: Heavenfall Step!"
Her next step took her to the skies, as she seed to rge with the winds themselves, and soon terrible attacks descended from the sky.
Ye Jun was surprised by her speed as he could barely keep up with her, but he was sure he couldn’t dodge those multiple succession attacks coming from several directions she moved through.
After around ten seconds, Song Liangxue landed before him, a trail of sweat dripping from her forehead. For the first ti, her breathing was unsteady, but her eyes were calr than ever.
She smiled at him. "Watch the final one, dear. This form allows the technique to match high grades."
"I’m watching!" Ye Jun said seriously.
Her smile widened as she turned around and raised her sword up, pointing toward the sky. Her eyes turned chilly as she spoke, her voice coming out strained.
"Fallen Star Sword Art. Final Form: Cataclysm Starfall!"
The mont her voice fell, Qi exploded out from her, gathering above as it rapidly took the shape of a giant sword. In seconds, a ten-ter sword made entirely of Qi ford above her.
Ye Jun couldn’t even move from the display, wanting to take in everything from this wonderful experience. ’I am not surviving this. No one is.’
Song Liangxue’s hand dropped, and along with it the giant sword fell forward at a terrible speed and changed shape once again, turning into a wide, long slash that seed to ignore the air itself as it descended upon the world.
Water sizzled and turned into steam the mont it made contact with the final slash. That was all Ye Jun managed to see before the pond erupted like an earthquake.
As he quickly stabilized himself, his jaw almost dropped to the ground as he looked forward at the destruction caused by the final slash of the Fallen Star Sword Art.
’This is ridiculous.’
The pond was split apart from the island to its shore. He could even see the depths of the pond now, and it wasn’t just that the water had split apart.
’No, it evaporated!’
The rest of the pond’s water surged forward rapidly to fill in the gaps, creating a stunning scene. For a mont he couldn’t even move, as if his mind wanted more ti to register everything.
’Damn!’ he exclaid in excitent. ’This is what I call a cultivation world. Splitting apart a pond.’
However, he quickly noticed Song Liangxue staggering, so he suppressed his excitent and quickly caught her before she could fall.
Looking at her exhausted face, he smiled fondly. ’She did it all for . You’ll make a wonderful wife, Xue.’
"Hmm! That was sothing else," she snuggled close in his embrace and said. "We’ll talk later. Take
back to the camp for now."
Ye Jun continued to smile and nodded. Of course, he didn’t forget his most important task.
