Chapter 51: The Five Great Eras, Transforming Into A Fire Demon

ng Lei was rather bewildered!
During this half a year of studying in Fire Dragon Academy, he had spent almost all his ti on improving his battle capabilities. He rarely read other types of books or studied other kinds of knowledge!

In his confusion, ng Lei imdiately took out his magic communication device and dialed Fatty Hart’s magic code, intending to ask him about it. Since Fatty Hart had taken rudintary lessons before, he had learned about a lot of things related to the past. There was definitely no going wrong in asking him about things like this!
“Old bro, what’s up?”
Fatty Hart’s round face appeared in the magic communication device.
“Fatty, do you know about the Fire Demons?”
“What?”
“The Fire Demons! The ‘fire’ of Fire Demons, and the ‘demon’ of Fire Demons! Fire Demons!”
“The Fire Demons?” Fatty was startled. “Old bro, why are you suddenly asking about that? What’s that noise over there? Why is it so noisy?”
ng Lei replied crossly, “Cut the crap! Do you know about Fire Demons or not?”
Duh, I’m in the arena! Of course it’s noisy!
“I don’t like how that sounded, old bro. I, Fatty Hart, know everything from as high up in the heavens as astronomy and as far below in the ground as geography. I know everything that happened in the last 500 years and can predict everything that’ll happen in the coming 1,000 years. What’s there that I don’t know?”
Fatty Hart blew his own horn, his nose in the air as he said, “If you want to talk about the Fire Demons, then you’ll definitely have to bring up the faraway ancient tis. Old bro, you should have heard about the few eras that Heaven’s Vault Continent has gone through before, right?”
“Yes, I have!”
ng Lei nodded lightly. Like Earth, Heaven’s Vault Continent had also gone through a few long eras in the remote past. They were respectively the Fairy era, Titan era, Beast People era, Colossal Dragon era, and the current era where the four races dominated the continent!
Every era had its own master. They dominated and ruled over the whole continent during their ti, and fully deserved the title of ruler!
“In that case, do you know how the Fairy era ended?” asked Fatty Hart.
After a mont’s thought, ng Lei replied, “It was probably the ancient Titans that ended them, right?”
The next era’s actuation was usually the cause of the end of an era. For example, the end of the Titan era was due to the ergence of the Beast People.
Through their terrifying numbers, the Beast People, who had an alarming reproduction rate, had overthrown the ancient Titans’ rule to eventually erge and beco the masters of Heaven’s Vault Continent!
For the sa reason, the Beast People era was later also overthrown by the Colossal Dragons, who then beca the masters of the continent and built a glorious era!
Tis alternated, and things developed!
Lives went through the cycle of rebirth, and each dynasty replaced the previous!
Nothing was eternal. No empires would stay strong and prosperous forever, either. This was an unchanging natural law of order that nobody could change!
“No! You’re wrong!!” Fatty Hart shook his head. “The Fairy era didn’t end because of the Titans. Rather, it was because of... The Fire Demons!”
“The Fire Demons?”
ng Lei was stunned for a mont there.
“Yes, the Fire Demons!”
Fatty Hart nodded lightly and said, “It’s said that during the Fairy era, forests were abundant and full of life, and vegetation grew vibrantly and exuberantly in Heaven’s Vault Continent. Rich and dense forests covered more than 90% of the whole continent!
“The Heaven’s Vault Continent of that ti was very beautiful. Beautiful Fairies strolled in the woods, snowy white unicorns pranced along the lakes, enchanting tree spirits danced in the gardens...
“However, the Fire Demons descended upon the world one day!
“Nobody knew where they ca from, whether they were Heaven’s Vault Continent’s native beings, or whether they had co from outer space, or other places. People only knew that they were bathed in fire, had burning eyes, and a mane of scorching flas...
“They were a terrifying group of flaming living beings!
“Wherever they passed through, forests were burned and destroyed, and vegetation and woods caught fire. Expanses of crimson land spread for miles. In less than 100 years, the holand that the ancient Fairies had depended on for their survival had all burned away!
“After a long period of resistance, the ancient Fairies joined hands with the other races in the continent to put a stop to the crazy Fire Demons and completely annihilated them. However, while this was a move that brought great destruction to the enemy, it also brought severe damage to themselves! Following that, the ancient Fairies fell into decline, and the powerful Titans took the opportunity to erge!”
“So, the end of the Fairy era was fully caused by the Fire Demons?”
ng Lei looked absolutely stupefied. He asked, “Are the Fire Demons that fearso? They had actually ended the ancient Fairies during a ti when they were at their most prosperous?”

With a laugh, Fatty Hart said, “The ancient Fairies were an existence that could suppress the ancient Titans so badly that they couldn’t even raise their heads! The Fire Demons had finished even an existence as strong and powerful as them. Do you think there’s any chance that they aren’t fearso?”
“That’s true!” ng Lei agreed wholeheartedly. Then, he asked, “Do Fire Demons still exist in Heaven’s Vault Continent?”
Fatty Hart thought for a mont before he replied, “True Fire Demons likely don’t exist anymore. In any case, I haven’t heard about any. However, descendants with Fire Demon bloodline in them likely exist. After all, the Fire Demons had wreaked havoc in Heaven’s Vault Continent for so many years back then. It’s impossible for them not to leave any trace of themselves behind at all!”
“Right!”
ng Lei fell into deep thought after he hung up.
Fatty Hart had said sothing that made a lot of sense. After wreaking havoc in Heaven’s Vault Continent for so many years, the Fire Demons had indeed left behind blood descendants—the Flaming Tiger Fire Demon was precisely one of them!
Otherwise, he couldn’t possibly have dropped the Fire Demon bloodline!!!
Now, the question was—was there any use to the Fire Demon bloodline?
Just as ng Lei was puzzling over this, an abnormal sensation suddenly ca over his body. A warm current that had appeared out of nowhere flowed into his limbs and bones...
“Oh no!”
After his experience with assimilating the Fire Dragon bloodline the last ti, ng Lei knew what was about to happen, of course. Not daring to make any further delay, he ran straight to the restroom!

In the instant he closed the restroom’s door, a burst of bloody red flas rose from his body and fully enveloped ng Lei. Wisps of black aura were mixed among the red flas, just like the flas on the Flaming Tiger Fire Demon!
At the sa ti, a wave of pain, almost as though it was ripping him apart, assaulted ng Lei’s senses. A muffled cry escaped him, and he almost let out a tragic scream!
Fortunately, having had prior experience, and coupled with the fact that his spiritual power had beco stronger, ng Lei barely managed to keep himself from screaming. Even so, cold sweat constantly ford and trickled down his body, and his countenance contorted from the pain!
“This feeling is truly goddamn... indescribable!”
ng Lei smiled dismally. Then, his skin blackened, and his arms began to elongate. His nails extended forward, and steel needle-like hair grew on his back. Sothing similar to an oxtail also grew behind him at his buttocks!
The most dramatic thing was that four sharp curved horns—two long and two short—grew out of his head. They looked like a ram’s, or a devil’s horns, and looked very savage!
I’m starting to transform again!
It was a Fire Dragon Person the last ti. What will it be now?
A Fire Demon Person?
Although he didn’t have the ntal strength to be sarcastic, ng Lei could clearly feel that his body was strengthening at speed visible to the naked eye. It actually didn’t lose out to the last ti when he was assimilating the Fire Dragon bloodline!

The Fire Demon bloodline assimilation process didn’t last long. It ended after 15 minutes. ng Lei went over to the mirror and stared at his appearance that had undergone a huge change... He was rendered completely speechless!
Blackish skin, yellow pupils, a steel needle-like mane of hair, long, slender, and powerful arms, an ox tail-like tail, and flas that enveloped him...
It certainly didn’t look very handso—in fact, it was a little ugly!
However, it seed like his power... had increased by leaps and bounds!
