Chapter 206: Fighting For Power of Faith, A Legendary Emperor

Host: ng Lei

Race: Human (Contains Gods-Slaying Rat bloodline )

Wealth: 15,688 Laws of Nature Origin Crystals

Physical Body Constitution: Half-Deity (High-Grade)

Spirit: Half-Deity (Elentary-level)

Power of Divinity: 0.1 Divinity Crystal

Laws of Nature: Basic (100%)

Judging from his current personal stats interface, he could no longer buy credit for his Physical Body Constitution, Spirit, and Laws of Nature attributes anymore.

The Power of Divinity attribute was the only one barely hanging on and still maintaining the system’s last vestiges of credit-buying glory.

Yet Power of Divinity was simply too expensive. 10,000 Laws of Nature Origin Crystals were only able to redeem 1 Divinity Crystal. He couldn’t afford it!

Therefore, how he was going to enhance his strength in the future had beco an extrely serious issue.

“In other words, my highest priority now is to spread faith and enhance my divine spirit through the power of faith?”

“The divine spirit is a deity’s fundantal roots. Therefore, splitting it causes a great deal of damage to the divine spirit.”

Dodola shook its head and said, “At tis like this, you’ll need treasures to help you repair the divine spirit. Unfortunately, treasures that can repair the divine spirit are simply too rare, so the power of faith has ended up becoming the one and only path. This is also an important reason why so many deities are so passionate about spreading their faith!”

At this point, Dodola said with a smile, “The power of faith is good stuff, y’know. Not only can it strengthen your divine spirit, but it can also convert power of divinity. It’s simply too important to a deity!”

“Power of faith...”

ng Lei nodded slightly. A shrewd glint flashed across his eyes as he said, “Dragon God Empire’s power of faith will be mine. Those that stand in my way will be shown no rcy!”

“Wonderful! As a deity, what’s the difference between you and a slacker if you do not fight for the power of faith?”

As though soone craving chaos, Dodola said, “Therefore, the first trial that the great God of Ti has left for you is—fight for Dragon God Empire’s power of faith!

“Trial duration: Three years!

“Trial rewards: Secret!”

ng Lei was rendered speechless. “Are you sure this is a trial that the God of Ti has left for and not sothing that you ca up with in a spur of the mont and fabricated?”

“What do you an by ‘fabricate’!? I don’t like the sound of that!”

Dodola snickered and said, “I’m the Tower of Ti’s guardian spirit, and I am in charge of safeguarding the God of Ti’s assets. Of course, I have the authority to set trials. This is also a mission that the God of Ti has given !”

“I can’t beat you in an argunt!”

ng Lei shook his head lightly. Then, he said, “If there’s nothing else, then I’m going out for now.”

“By the way, try your best not to kill the Tower of Ti’s Magical Beasts anymore,” said Dodola suddenly.

“Why?”

ng Lei frowned at once. Where would he get money from if he didn’t hunt the Magical Beasts in the Tower of Ti?

Wasn’t Dodola freaking cutting off his source of inco?

“Maintaining the Tower of Ti’s ti-based laws of nature requires Ti Divinity Crystals,” Dodola explained, “Ever since the God of Ti’s demise, the Ti Divinity Crystals have been depleting from continuous use. After such a long passage of ti, there aren’t many left anymore. We have to be thrifty with them!”

“...”

ng Lei was rendered completely speechless. “Then what’s the goddamn point in inheriting the Tower of Ti!?”

“...”

...

ng Lei currently wasn’t in a very good mood—he had initially planned on killing so Magical Beasts in the tower whenever he had so spare ti so that he could earn so allowance.

Yet now he couldn’t kill them anymore!

Just how freaking big of a scam was that?

“I’m too unlucky!” ng Lei cursed inwardly as he exited the Tower of Ti.

“Prepare to die, knave!”

At that mont, a furious roar rang out. The golden light that covered the whole sky shot toward him, instantly engulfing ng Lei—who had just exited the tower—as well as the golden-armored guards standing duty outside the Tower of Ti.

“Ahhh!”

Shrill screams rang out before they quickly faded into silence. By the ti the golden light had faded, only a dozen or so corpses that had been turned into swiss cheese remained.

Blood flowed out of their wounds as the odor of blood rushed toward everyone’s senses.

“Murder!”

At once, the students and teachers crowding around the Tower of Ti received a terrible shock, and they took a few steps back in unison.

“Who is it?”

“Isn’t the murderer a little too bold?!”

“How dare he commit murder here!”

Whoosh!

A golden-robed elderly man abruptly appeared. His icy-cold gaze fell onto the mangled corpses in front of the Tower of Ti.

“Who’s that?”

Everyone stared at the golden-robed elderly man in stunned astonishnt.

“He’s not there?”

The golden-robed elderly man looked around as murderous intent roiled within his eyes. “Get out here, knave!”

“Who are you?”

ng Lei quietly appeared, his gaze on the golden-robed elderly man as a hint of killing intent flitted across his eyes.

“I’m Goblen Frederick!” answered the golden-robed elderly man coldly as his eyes bore into ng Lei.

“Goblen Frederick?”

“That na sounds so familiar. I feel like I’ve seen it sowhere before?”

“Goblen? I rember now! Isn’t that the genius who’s ranked third on the Dragon God Genius Ranking!?”

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Everyone’s gazes shot over to the ranking in unison!

“No. 3: Augustine Kroc, Human, 30 years old, Level 76”

“No, he should be in 4th place now!”

Speechless, everyone hurriedly looked at the fourth place in the ranking.

“No. 4: Goblen Frederick, Golden Colossal Dragon, 29 years old, Level 75”

“So that’s Goblen, the one ranked fourth? That’s so impressive!”

“Isn’t Goblen a historical figure from 30,000 years ago? He’s actually still alive?”

“He’s lived for more than 30,000 years? Oh my dragon god, doesn’t that make him an old bastard[1]...”

The people whispered among themselves as they engaged in wild speculation.

Suddenly, a Golden Colossal Dragon Person with a pair of horns on his head squeezed into the crowd and dropped onto his knees. “Grandmaster! Your unfilial descendant greets the Grandmaster!”

“Grandmaster?”

Everyone was astonished.

“How audacious! Hurry and get on your knees!”

The Golden Colossal Dragon Person shouted furiously and sternly, “The Grandmaster is the Dragon God Empire’s tenth emperor and is even one of the five great legendary emperors of the Dragon God Empire...

“The Grandmaster has already beco a venerable half-deity and is even the strongest and oldest half-deity with the most highly esteed status among the Golden Colossal Dragons! Why haven’t all of you gotten onto your knees upon seeing the Grandmaster?!”

“The tenth emperor?”

“A half-deity?”

“Greetings, Grandmaster!”

“Greetings, Grandmaster!”

“Greetings, Grandmaster!”

Upon hearing his words, a huge jolt went through everyone, and they hastily prostrated on the ground, bowing and saying their greetings loudly.

Most of them were Dragon God Academy students and teachers, though there were also sightseeing tourists among them.

To them, one must bow and kowtow upon seeing the emperor, let alone when the emperor in question was a legendary one who was also a venerable half-deity! All the more, they had to kowtow!

“I didn’t expect anyone to still rember when such a long ti has gone by!”

The golden-robed elderly man nodded slightly, the wrath on his features llowing slightly. “You may rise!”

“Thank you, Grandmaster!”

Everyone got up one after another, looks of excitent and worship in their eyes. As students and teachers of Dragon God Academy, they didn’t lack contact with Saint Domains.

However, half-deities were the only ones that still existed only in legends, biographies, and songs to them. They had never laid eyes on one before. But now, they had finally seen one.

They had seen with their own eyes a living deity, an existence with the strongest combat power in Heaven’s Vault Continent.

Who wouldn’t be worked up?

Who wouldn’t worship him?

Who wouldn’t be excited?

“Goblen Frederick, 4th in the Dragon God Genius Ranking?”

ng Lei was the only one that didn’t kneel or kowtow. He gazed at the Dragon God Genius Ranking, a hint of amusent showing at the corners of his lips.

“If mory serves right, you were ranked third in the past, right? Why have you dropped to fourth place?

“Alright, so it’s because I’ve gone all the way up to first place!” ng Lei shook his head.

“How dare you!”

The Golden Colossal Dragon Person from before glowered at ng Lei as he shouted furiously, “There is no place for you to speak in front of the Grandmaster! Get down on your knees!”

“Get on my knees?”

ng Lei cast a glance at him. Then, a golden beam shot out, and the Golden Colossal Dragon Person’s head shot into the air and left his body right away.

“There is no place for you to speak here!”

ng Lei curled his lip disdainfully before he then turned his gaze to the golden-robed elderly man suspended in mid-air. “You’d better give a satisfactory explanation for your ambush on just now!”

“You brazen, audacious renegade!”

Flas of fury rose in Goblen Frederick as murderous intent roiled in his eyes. “You’ve killed the empire’s emperor, slaughtered all the court officials, and killed more than 1,000 Saint Domains! Your sins are grievous, heinous, and unforgivable!

“Today, I shall rip you into a million pieces and cut you with a thousand knives so as to serve a warning to the people!”

“What?”

“What is Grandmaster saying?!”

Goblen Frederick’s words could be said to have caused a great commotion.

All the students were stunned!

All the teachers were horrified!

All the tourists were terrified!

Killed the emperor? Slaughtered all the court officials? Killed more than 1,000 Saint Domains?

How could that be? How could ng Lei possibly be that strong?

Fake! It must be fake! The Grandmaster must have made a mistake!

Everyone shook their heads hard. They didn’t dare to believe such a thing at all; it was simply too sensational!

However, ng Lei’s following response rcilessly shattered their fantasies.

“They’re just a bunch of rotten, depraved Magical Beasts. So I’ve killed them. So? What are you going to do about it?”

ng Lei curled his lip disdainfully, his deanor calm and unaffected.

“O’ Dragon God above!”

“O’ Dragon God above!”

“O’ Dragon God above!”

“This, this...”

“It’s actually... actually true?”

“How dare he? How dare he?!”

A severe jolt went through everyone, who was shocked and horrified to the extre.

“Die!!”

Goblen let out a low roar, upon which golden light that covered the whole sky burst forth from him and shot toward ng Lei.

“The sa move again? How boring!”

ng Lei shook his head slightly. With just a step, he had already reached right behind Goblen, and he took the opportunity to swing the Hamr of Destruction toward his lower back.

“See if I don’t crush your ancient waist!”

Bam!

His hamr swing was simply too swift, so much so that Goblen couldn’t react in ti. He took the blow squarely at his ancient lower back and was thrown right out.

Bam!

Goblen crashed hard against the Tower of Ti, causing the tower to sway about thrice.

“What the heck!? You’d better not damage it!”

ng Lei got a huge fright at the sight, and he hastily controlled the Tower of Ti with his will.

Then, sothing shocking happened—the Dragon God Tower, which had stood erect at Dragon God Academy and never moved an inch in 40,000 years, actually rose into the sky!

Then, it rapidly shrank, ultimately reducing in size until it beca a little miniature tower that landed in ng Lei’s palm!

(⊙o⊙)!!!

o((⊙_⊙))o!

┗(@ロ@;)┛!!!

“O’ Dragon God above!”

“This, this...”

“W-why did the Dragon God Tower...”

Everyone was horrified and aghast.

The Dragon God Tower was the divine weapon that protected the empire! For the last 40,000 years, it had stood erect and immovable like a rock!

So why... was it moving now?

On top of that, it had even flown onto ng Lei’s palm?

Were they serious about this?

“You audacious knave put down the Dragon God Tower!”

Goblen Frederick got up from the ground. A bit of blood hung at a corner of his lip, but his aura was full and brimming, and his divine power vast and majestic—evidently, he hadn’t suffered much of an injury.

He stared at the miniature Tower of Ti sitting in ng Lei’s palm, sowhat hysterical. “Put down the Dragon God Tower at once! Otherwise, I’ll fight you to the death...”

“Put down? Why should I put it down?”

ng Lei waved the Tower of Ti left and right in his palm and said lightly, “The Dragon God Tower belongs to from the start. I had only deposited it here temporarily. Is there a problem with collecting it now?”

“You renegade! Knave! Treacherous bandit!”
