Quite so ti had passed since the twins were born.

The second child was a healthy baby boy, Hanbyul, and the third was a healthy baby girl, Saetbyul.

The twins weren’t fussy and slept well, making parenting easier than expected.

However, they rarely smiled, which seed to bother our eldest daughter.

“Hey, you two~ Can you smile for your Unnie? Peek-a-boo!”

Despite Eunbyul efforts, the twins barely reacted.

They tilted their heads with indifferent expressions, refusing to give her the smile she wanted.

“Appa…”

“Yes?”

“I think the twins don’t like …”

Co on, kids, give her a smile.

Maybe their reluctance to smile is sothing they inherited from . Of all things to inherit…

As I pondered how to comfort her, my wife ca out from the kitchen.

“That’s not true! The twins love you so much, Eunbyul~”

“Really?”

Sitting next to Eunbyul, my wife gently stroked her hair.

“Of course~ Now, can you step into your room for just a mont?”

“Okay~”

At her mother’s words, Eunbyul trotted off to her room.

The mont Eunbyul disappeared from the living room, the twins began to glance around…

“Waaaaahhhh!”

“Waaaaahhhh!”

Their loud cries echoed through the house.

“Eunbyul~ Co back quickly!”

“Coming~!”

As soon as Eunbyul returned to the living room, the twins imdiately stopped crying.

Hanbyul and Saetbyul crawled toward Eunbyul and nestled next to her.

“See? The twins cry a lot when you’re not here. So make sure to stay with them often, okay?”

Eunbyul’s smile returned as she firmly held the twins’ hands.

“Hehe. Okay! Hanbyul, Saetbyul, let’s have lots of fun together!”

The three siblings sat in the middle of the living room, spending ti together.

“How did you know? That the twins cry when Eunbyul isn’t around?”

“Well, Eunbyul takes such good care of her siblings, so they’ve grown really attached to her.”

“It’s so nice to see them getting along.”

“And the twins are growing so well. They’re calm, so raising them hasn’t been too difficult.”

“Yeah, they sleep well and don’t cause too much trouble.”

“Must take after you.”

My wife smiled softly and leaned her head on my shoulder.

“If you’re tired, take a nap. I’ll watch the kids.”

“But sitting here with you, watching the kids, makes so happy~”

I gently held her hand.

She smiled warmly at my touch and leaned closer to .

“I’m happy too.”

“Should we just go ahead and have our youngest now?”

“Maybe we should wait until the twins are in daycare?”

“But then the age gap between Eunbyul and the youngest might be too big.”

“You’re right.”

We were in a good place now, so having another child wouldn’t be a strain.

While the idea of having another child brought joy, I couldn’t ignore the burden it might place on my wife.

“Let’s think about it step by step.”

“Okay, no rush. I wasn’t being entirely serious anyway.”

“So, you were kind of serious~?”

“Hehe. You caught .”

She was as adorable and lovely as ever.

“Amma! Appa!”

As I admired my wife, Eunbyul called out to us loudly.

“Yes, Eunbyul? What is it?”

My wife and I both turned to look at the children, and the twins—

“The twins are standing up!”

They were standing on their own, balancing on the floor.

Seeing this, my wife and I imdiately jumped off the sofa.

“Wowww!”

“Wooow!”

We cheered loudly, and the twins burst into laughter.

We clapped and encouraged the twins, who took a few steps in different directions before plopping back down.

I scooped them up in my arms and lifted them high into the air as my wife and Eunbyul clapped and ran around the living room.

“Oh, my precious twins~ I’m so proud of you!”

“Appa! too! Lift too!”

“Of course~ Our amazing Eunbyul!”

After setting the twins back on the floor, I lifted Eunbyul high into the air.

The more kids we had, the more laughter filled our ho.

I couldn’t be happier.

****

After putting all the kids to bed, my wife and I returned to the living room.

We hugged each other, sharing silent encouragent, grateful for surviving another day.

Still, it felt like a waste to just go to bed on such a peaceful night.

“Hey, want to share a can of beer before we call it a night?”

“Ooh! Let’s do it! I’ve been feeling the sa way!”

“You sit on the sofa and relax. I’ll handle everything.”

“Hehe, alright~”

I left her on the sofa to rest and quickly prepared so snacks.

After setting the beer and food on the coffee table, I carefully opened a can of beer.

If even one of the twins woke up, this heavenly mont would co to an abrupt end.

Ssssshhhhh...!

The sound was unbelievably soft and cautious.

The absurdity of being so ticulous over sothing so trivial made both of us stifle our laughter.

It was funny how two grown adults acted like teens sneaking drinks.

“Pfft...!”

“Shh, honey! If the kids wake up, we won’t even get a sip.”

“I know, but this is too funny! Open mine too.”

“Alright, watch this.”

Ssshhhk!

I misjudged my strength, and the can popped open with a crisp sound that echoed in the living room.

Eyes wide, we instinctively locked gazes.

“That was close!”

“Yeah, I almost had a heart attack!”

Thankfully, the disaster was averted.

“Cheers, honey!”

“Yeah! Cheers!”

We carefully clinked our cans together with a soft tap.

The mont felt more thrilling and joyful than ever.

She took a sip of her beer, then a bite of the snacks, her face lighting up with a smile.

Her happiness was contagious, making her all the more lovable.

Then, she reached over to feed a bite.

“Say ah~”

“Ah~”

She watched eat with a look of pure delight.

“Why are you looking at like that?”

“Just because. How is it that you’re getting even more handso?”

“I think that’s just how you see .”

She shook her head firmly.

“No way. You’ve gotten even more dashing. Why are you so amazing?”

“Ah, stop! You’re embarrassing !”

I turned my head and sipped my beer to hide my flushed face.

She giggled, enjoying my reaction.

“Hehe, honey, do you still get shy when I complint you?”

“I never said I was shy.”

“Yes, you do~”

From the day we t, she’s always looked at with such affection.

I thought that over ti, it might fade, but every ti I saw that expression, my heart still fluttered.

“How can anyone not feel shy when you look at them like that?”

“Huh? How do I look at you?”

She asked, genuinely curious.

It felt embarrassing to explain.

“Just look in a mirror.”

“No, tell ! Please, honey~”

Her playful insistence finally made cave.

“Then... You always look at like I’m...”

“Like you’re...?”

“The most precious thing in the world.”

Her eyebrows lifted slightly in surprise.

“When you look at like that, I feel like I’m soone amazing. It’s hard to explain, but that look gives so much strength. Even when I’m tired or overwheld, seeing your expression lifts up. It’s not overbearing; it’s comforting, like genuine encouragent.”

She smiled warmly as she responded.

“You are amazing.”

“That’s such an embarrassing thing to say!”

“It’s not just empty words, you know?”

She shook her head, her voice filled with conviction.

“You’re incredible—not just as my husband, but as a person. You’re soone admirable, responsible, and inspiring. I don’t just look at you that way—you make look at you that way.”

Her words pierced deep into my heart, as if they’d always belonged there.

“I love you, honey.”

Her confession filled with so much warmth that I lowered my head, resting it in my hand.

“Seriously… Why are you so lovable? You make feel dizzy.”

“Really? Have you fallen for again? Go ahead! Fall as much as you want—I fall for you every day!”

“What did I do today that made you fall for ?”

“When you lifted both twins at once, I thought you were so dependable.”

“I’ve still got muscles, you know. Want to lift you too?”

“Yes, please!”

“Get on the sofa.”

“Alright~”

As soon as she climbed onto the sofa, I hoisted her over my shoulder.

“Ahhh! This is fun!”

“Let’s make it even better!”

I playfully lifted and spun her, pretending to give her a ride.

We were laughing like kids when suddenly, the bedroom door creaked open.

Our eldest, Eunbyul, stepped out in her pajamas and looked at us sternly.

“What if you wake the twins? Please play quietly, okay?”

Her firm tone made us freeze for a mont before we ekly replied.

“Okay...”

“Yes, ma’am...”

“Alright, goodnight.”

With that, Eunbyul coolly went back to her room.

Carefully setting my wife back down, we exchanged glances and burst into silent laughter, stifling our giggles behind our hands.

It was another joyful, chaotic day in our happy little family.
