The Dream skimd across the water like a lone leaf drifting in the vast ocean.
This ti, the Dream Exploration Team was traveling in reverse along Paradise's routes. The first island they arrived at was Clarked Island—one known for its advanced shipbuilding industry.
But it was different from Water 7.
Clarked Island was the second-to-last island on two of Paradise's seven routes.
As the seven routes in Paradise got closer to Sabaody Archipelago, they started to converge. That's why there were only four large islands near Sabaody.
As for the scattered islands that didn't affect the Log Pose's magnetic field, they weren't part of these seven routes.
The weather was great today—a light breeze, perfect temperature for outdoor activities.
Anya was busy in the kitchen, making sothing delicious; Hogg was in the cabin, continuing his study of coating techniques; Nami was on deck, occasionally jotting down notes about the sea's weather; Robin was organizing recent archaeological findings; Daisy was still researching Vivre Cards.
Only Ryuen and a few others had nothing to do.
So they decided to play a volleyball match on the deck's lawn. Lia and Sugar tead up against Kuina and Reina.
Nojiko acted as the referee. Ryuen wasn't interested in the ga, but he was interested in the beautiful scenery. So he lounged on a beach chair like a king, enjoying the view.
"Hey everyone, co and try the luosifen I made using Ryuen's thod over the past few days!" Anya said as she pushed out a food cart.
On top of the cart, there were nine bowls of luosifen.
Hogg and Daisy were busy with their own tasks inside the cabin, so they missed out on this feast.
But then...
In an instant, a strong and distinct sll spread across the deck. Ryuen, catching a whiff of the familiar scent, was nearly moved to tears.
"Yuck~~~"
"Anya, what did you make? Why does it sll like a Devil Fruit~~~" Nami suddenly caught the scent and was imdiately reminded of a painful mory.
"It stinks~~~"
"Anya, how could you..."
"What even is this..."
"Ryuen, so this is what you like to eat..."
The volleyball match ca to a halt because, aside from Ryuen and Anya, everyone else on the deck was covering their noses!
While everyone was complaining, Ryuen had already rushed to the food cart.
"Hehehe~~~"
Even though Anya had expected this reaction, she still couldn't help but cover her mouth and giggle. Her graceful figure swayed slightly, almost distracting Ryuen from his focus on the luosifen.
"I'm telling you, it may sll a bit strange, but it tastes amazing! Especially the pickled bamboo shoots—I started fernting them back in Loguetown!" Anya's voice carried a sort of magic, sparking everyone's curiosity.
More importantly, Anya's cooking was always delicious. Since she said it was good, then maybe... possibly... it really was?
So, everyone gathered around the cart—but still pinched their noses.
"Is this really tasty?" Reina was very doubtful. As a Mink, her sense of sll was extrely sharp.
The scent was so strong it almost knocked her out!
"Of course! It's really good. Just try it. Once you eat it, you'll understand why it slls like this," Anya said confidently.
Even though they were skeptical about the luosifen, their trust in Anya won out. Everyone picked up a bowl.
Ryuen was the fastest—he had already taken one and was happily slurping the noodles at a long table on the lawn.
"So good!"
"This brings back mories... I haven't had this in so long..." Ryuen kept eating, his eyes suddenly welling up with warmth.
"It's so good it makes you cry?"
"Is it really that good...?"
Seeing Ryuen's reaction, the others were still unsure, but they all sat down with their bowls.
They stared at the luosifen in front of them, then looked at Ryuen and Anya slurping away like they were eating the best food in the world.
Summoning their courage, they finally took their first bite.
"This is amazing!"
"This sour and spicy taste... it's incredible..."
"So this is luosifen..."
"The rich, spicy flavor is just perfect for ..."
"You have to try the broth—it's so flavorful, so fresh..."
"Damn you, Ryuen! You've had sothing this good before and never told us?!"
"But..."
After just a couple of bites, the girls were completely hooked on the taste of the luosifen. Even their hands, which had been pinching their noses, slowly dropped.
Soon, the entire deck was filled with the sound of slurping noodles.
"Huh~~~"
"What's that sll? What are you all eating?"
Suddenly, Daisy stepped out from the cabin, and the strong aroma of luosifen imdiately hit her nose.
She pinched her nose in disgust and asked, "What is this?"
"Eh?"
"Daisy, you're here! We're eating snail noodles. There's more in the kitchen—I'll get you a bowl!" Anya spotted Daisy and imdiately ran into the kitchen.
"Hey! I don't..." Daisy barely had ti to refuse before Anya disappeared.
No one paid attention to Daisy. They were all too focused on their own bowls of snail noodles. In no ti, Anya returned with a big bowl.
"Daisy, try it! I even added two fried eggs for you—it's really good!" Anya said softly.
"Uh... is this even edible..." Daisy was doubtful.
"Um... Daisy, if you're not going to eat it, I can help you..." Leah spoke while slowly reaching for the bowl.
"No way!"
"I'll eat it!" Daisy firmly refused, though she was still pinching her nose.
She then sat down as well.
"Ha~~~"
"It's been so long since I had this! Anya, your cooking is amazing—it tastes just like I rember!" Ryuen praised without hesitation.
By now, everyone else had finished their noodles.
Only Daisy was left. Seeing the satisfied looks on their faces, she hesitated, then took a bite.
And after that first bite, she just couldn't stop.
"You... why are you all looking at like that..." Daisy shivered as she noticed everyone staring at her like hungry wolves.
"Well..."
"Daisy, don't you think this snail noodle sll is kind of like a Devil Fruit?" Nami asked with a smile.
"Didn't you say before that you hated the taste of Devil Fruits?"
"That's right! We'll help you eat it!"
"Huh?"
"Nooo~~~"
Nami: The sll of snail noodles is really strong, but once you eat them, you get used to it, right~~~
