A eting in the Shadows

The streets of Blackwater Bay were silent under the moon’s silver glow.

The air slled of salt and filth, a mixture of the ocean’s breath and the gri of civilization.

Few dared to walk these streets alone—especially at this hour.

But one man did.

Wrapped in a dark cloak, his face hidden beneath a hood, he moved with purpose, his steps barely making a sound.

This was an informant, a shadowed figure who served those with gold and power.

And tonight, he had a ssage to deliver.

The Hideout of a Legend

He arrived at a secluded alley, the path ending at an old, abandoned chapel.

Its wooden doors hung ajar, rotting with ti.

Yet, the mont he stepped inside, the air changed.

A heavy pressure settled around him, as if the very atmosphere bowed to the presence within.

At the center of the ruined chapel, a man stood—Stormcaller.

The Man Who Commands Lightning

Stormcaller was unlike any other.

He wore a long coat of deep blue, trimd with silver.

His hair was white as thunderclouds, and his eyes burned with a faint electric glow.

Lightning danced across his fingertips, tiny sparks crackling between his gloved hands.

He exuded an aura of raw power, the air itself humming with unseen energy.

Without turning, he spoke.

"You took your ti."

His voice was smooth, but there was a dangerous undertone beneath it.

The informant stiffened, but quickly recovered.

"I bring an offer, one you’ll want to hear."

Stormcaller finally turned, his glowing eyes settling on the man.

"Then speak."

A Contract of Death

"My master wishes to hire you," the informant said, his tone steady.

Stormcaller raised a brow.

"And who does your master want dead?"

The informant hesitated for a brief second.

Then, he said the na.

"Seraphis."

The air shifted, the very candles flickering from the unseen force of Stormcaller’s presence.

He let the na linger, rolling it over in his mind.

"I've heard of her," he said at last.

"A pirate. A conqueror. The one they call White Raven."

His lips curled into a smirk.

"Interesting choice."

The Price of Power

The informant reached into his cloak and withdrew a pouch of gold.

"A down paynt," he explained, tossing it onto the table.

Stormcaller didn’t even glance at it.

Instead, he crossed his arms.

"This mission will cost 2,000 gold coins."

The informant blinked, though he expected a high price.

"That can be arranged."

Stormcaller finally moved, stepping closer.

"You do understand," he said in a low, charged voice, "that you’re asking to go after a woman with an army?"

The informant nodded.

"She has built a fortress. A fleet. She has magic protecting her."

Another nod.

"And yet… your master believes she can still die."

A pause.

Then, the informant grinned.

"Everything dies, Stormcaller."

A Dangerous Agreent

Stormcaller chuckled, a low, dangerous sound.

He extended a hand, and electricity surged from his palm.

The gold coins in the pouch lifted into the air, dancing within the web of lightning.

Then, with a crackling snap, he let them fall back into the bag.

"Tell your master," he said, voice laced with amusent, "that I accept."

The informant gave a slight bow.

"She will be pleased."

And with that, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Stormcaller alone once more.

The Calm Before the Storm

As soon as the door creaked shut, Stormcaller strode to a large window, staring out into the night.

Lightning flashed in the distance, illuminating the dark sea beyond the city.

"Seraphis…"

Her na tasted like a challenge on his tongue.

A storm was coming.

And this ti…

It wouldn’t be her hunting others.

It would be him.
