The Thrill of the Hunt

Seraphis stood at the bow of the White Raven, the salty sea air whipping through her hair as she gazed across the waves. The rush of battle, the ease with which they had crushed their enemies—it was exhilarating.

She smirked. "This is fun."

Lysara chuckled beside her. "You’re starting to sound like a true pirate."

Seraphis simply grinned. "Let’s find more."

Two More Targets

It didn’t take long before two ships appeared on the horizon, their black sails marking them as pirates. The White Raven stalked them from a distance, staying just out of their range.

"Two ships," Lysara mused. "Think we can take them both?"

Seraphis smirked. "We don’t need to think—we know."

Testing the Crossbow’s Range

She turned to the massive Dawnstrike crossbow mounted at the front of the ship. They had used it effectively before, but now she wanted to see just how far it could reach.

She ran her fingers along the enchanted steel, whispering to it as if it were a living weapon.

"Let’s see if you can hit from 200 feet."

Aiming for the First Ship

She grabbed one of the massive bolts, its steel tip gleaming in the sunlight, and loaded it into the crossbow.

Taking a deep breath, she adjusted her aim. The first ship was slightly ahead of the second, making it the perfect target.

She pulled the release trigger.

The First Shot Lands

The bolt shot through the air like a streak of death.

It slamd into the ship’s hull with a thunderous crack, shattering wooden planks and tearing a massive hole near the waterline.

Seraphis grinned. "That’s a hit."

Reloading for Another Strike

Without wasting ti, she pulled the reload lever, feeling the powerful chanisms inside the crossbow shift and lock another bolt into place.

She adjusted her aim and fired again.

The Second Shot

This ti, the bolt pierced through the main mast, snapping it in half like a twig. The enemy ship lurched as its sails collapsed, leaving it crippled in the water.

"One down," she muttered.

Switching Targets

Now, she turned her attention to the second ship.

She reloaded, aid, and pulled the trigger.

The bolt flew across the open sea and struck dead center, shattering the deck and sending pirates scrambling for cover.

A Fourth Shot for Good asure

Seraphis grinned as she reloaded one last ti.

She lined up her final shot and fired.

The bolt pierced the enemy ship’s side, causing a violent explosion as it struck a cache of gunpowder barrels. Flas erupted from the deck, engulfing the ship in fire.

Surveying the Damage

She lowered the crossbow, watching as both ships struggled to stay afloat.

Lysara let out a low whistle. "At this rate, the entire sea will fear us."

Seraphis smirked. "That’s the idea."

Closing the Distance

She turned to her helmsman. "Move in. Let’s see if there are any survivors."

The White Raven surged forward, cutting through the waves toward the two crippled ships.

Assessing the Enemy

As they approached, they saw pirates scrambling on the decks, so trying to put out fires, others attempting to ready weapons.

Seraphis sighed. "They’re still trying to fight?"

Lysara laughed. "Desperation makes fools of n."

Boarding the First Ship

Grappling hooks were thrown, and the crew of the White Raven leaped onto the first ship.

The pirates were disoriented, weakened from the attack, and barely able to lift their weapons.

Seraphis drew her twin daggers.

"Let’s finish this."

The Final Confrontation

The battle was quick and brutal. The pirates stood no chance against the trained warriors of the White Raven.

Seraphis moved like a shadow, slicing through her enemies with deadly precision.

Within minutes, the deck was silent.

Looting the Ship

She ordered her crew to search the hold for anything valuable.

Gold, weapons, enchanted artifacts—everything was gathered and hauled back onto their own ship.

Turning to the Second Ship

With the first vessel secured, they turned their attention to the second.

The fire had spread across its deck, and the remaining pirates were either jumping overboard or lying motionless.

Seraphis smirked. "No survivors left here."

Destroying the Wreckage

She stepped back onto the White Raven and raised her hand.

"Fire the cannons."

The roar of artillery filled the air as cannonballs tore through the burning wreck, sending it crashing beneath the waves.

Marking Another Victory

As the sea swallowed their enemies, Seraphis turned to her crew.

"That’s how we hunt."

The crew roared in triumph. The White Raven had claid another victory.
