Chapter 937: End Of Rebellion
The commandant stared at the stone tablet, upon its surface, a language she had never seen before was carved, each letter radiating a sense of mysticism, but her attention was elsewhere for now.
“Ancestor, is this… Is this really alright? Are we not to bla for bringing the undeads to your realm? Should we not stay until the end to help?”
“You know, Antieeld, despite your cold exterior and fearso eyepatch, you are quite the goody two-shoes, huh? Listen, everyone knows that the undeads would have gotten to our realm eventually anyways, we, the erald folks, will not leave no matter what, so it is the sa for us, you however, you have already fled your hos, for what purpose but to preserve what you have left? The Erald Realm accepts and loves you, but it is not your ho, you have no responsibility or obligation to it, so run, there is no sha in fearing death” the sun ancestor helped Antieeld up to her feet, pushing the stone tablet against the commandant’s chest.
“But as you say, the undead will go after every realm eventually so…”
“So what? If this can buy you a few years of peace, is it not worth it? From the sun, I observed you all from the very beginning, Antieeld, you don’t show it on your face, but were you not happy in tis of peace? Simply accept it, take your fellows with you and be happy, alright?” Solzmimi bead the brightest of smiles.
“And besides, did you not just speak of this Sonnenträger fellow having a chance to win? If he wins, we will be fine, and won’t he be able to fight back against the undeads as a whole? So fret not, for all you know, everything might just be fine in the end”
Antieeld could not say anything further to try and refute Solzmimi’s overwhelming kindness, and could only listen as the sun ancestor gave so more explanations about the purpose of this tablet and what was actually written upon it.
“I never delved into the art of carving and naming like Arzt did, but I watched over him for a long ti, I was already the sun ancestor when he was still a little baby, you know? So I can tell you what it is that he crafted, and about the warning written upon the stone tablet”
“Using his abilities, he created a sort of array underneath his shack, inserting this tablet into a compartnt in the center will activate it and transport all of those within the array to another realm… Arzt is the only erald folk to have ever travelled beyond our realm, he visited many places and realms in his youth, so he isn’t sending you to a random place… However, such a creation does bear a risk, so of those who are transported might not make it to the correct realm, and instead end up stranded into a completely different realm- From what I understand, the risk is slim and should only be limited to two people at most if it were to occur”
The sun ancestor offered so reassurance however.
“Though Arzt never managed to fix that problem in his creation, he added so ans for the problem to be solved, anyone who is affected can make it to the right realm by expanding so of their inner energy suddenly, and whatever realm they are sent to, has been limited to realms Arzt knew to have little threats that could endanger people capable of wielding any energy” she explained.
“Now, you don’t have to go imdiately, but do not linger until danger arrives, alright? I wish you all peace, and if the undead catch us all in the end, well, let’s catch up after we are piles of bones and rotten flesh, alright?” and with this little joke, Solzmimi turned into a flash of erald light and disappeared.
Antieeld looked down upon the stone tablet with a complicated expression.
“…Let’s do as she says, even if I want to stay with all my heart, there are also children to think about… So of which have lost their parents” whilst Antieeld and Minli began to prepare for the departure, convincing everyone was not so simple, so ended up staying behind, the people who had co from Tamaris and ended up joining beast or sun worship, or begun relationships with erald folks simply could not leave, they had firmly rooted themselves into the realm.
There were also those who wished to stay behind, to fight and take revenge for those who had fallen, but Antieeld was able to persuade them in the end.
As Minli advised, the commandant stayed silent on the fact that Milo’s fate was greatly facilitated due to her, offering only a filthy lie when she faced Helena, who had survived despite her nurous injuries, saved in the nick of ti by the golden blessing from Milo, their children were also all alright.
So who had not wished to leave were instead convinced to do so by the erald folks they had grown attached to, such was the case for Mamiel with Iliz.
The death hunters were naturally reluctant to once again run in the face of their archnesis, but truth had to be accepted, they had since long been outgrown by the threat they were supposed to face, the hunters had beco preys.
And whilst this was happening, soone observed silently, with half-closed eyes from the sa place he had been watching all this ti.
Quideos Audit still remained amidst mories, but his teeth and mouth were coloured red right now, and he felt weaker than ever, struggling to breath.
Transporting and trapping Loimos and Sonnenträger into the realm of mories had nearly cost him his life, even though neither had resisted the pull, rely interacting with them was too much for the prophet, and still, he felt like his end might co at any second now.
He heard the sound of a footstep nearby, slowly turning his head to its source to find soone invading the space he was occupying.
“I guess… I should have expected that you would be brought back by that monster too…”
“Naturally, The Graveyard can bring back just about any undead as long as they were not torn apart by powerful life force in their entirety… Our King could not raise anything less than this”
Silence.
“It is a pleasure to see you again, Quideos Audit, you should have been freed from madness since I left you, but sohow, you seem even worse than I rember… You should give up on life and accept your powers as replacent for your life force, you know? I know that you livings are so very attached to your lives, but becoming a being of mory will not anything bad to you”
“Just… Do what you have to do” the seer was unwilling to converse at all.
The buzzing of locusts filled the area full of fragnted mories, the mories Quideos had woven into a small, artificial realm began to change, all showing images of death and destruction.
Irmandos spread his arms, the rotten locusts that filled his hollow insides made their way out of the gaps and tears into his rotten flesh to go outside.
“Quideos Audit, you have evaded our blessing for long enough now, I, Irmandos, Advisor and Seer to King Nitok, will now free you from your mortal coil- However, I hope that you understand that the chances of you becoming a negator are about one-hundred percent, so I fear that you shall be sealed into the Lithitree until further notice, I shall see you again when you have co to your senses”
And with these words, the rebellious prophet was sward by the locusts, finally granted what he had been running away from.
