734: Operation Arid Soil : Part Forty-Five 734: Operation Arid Soil : Part Forty-Five Ir’Houwl had an Ersta’la of Illusory Undeviginti, an arm-bearer from Cleansing Undeviginti, and another arm-bearer, but from Sanguine Undeviginti all gathered around table, everyone was getting along, although it wasn’t like this was an optional requirent- As per the contract they had all signed, they needed to be perfectly capable of working together to the best possible extent, and so far, it was going pretty well.

The minor lord’s idea to get Cheops and ritites to ‘know’ one another borne a whole bunch of fruits already, these two were basically inseparable now, clinging to one another like leeches would to skin, if they didn’t have any orders to follow, you could be sure that they would be tucked away in one of the solar temple’s rooms, partaking in rites of procreation like animals, Ir’Houwl had never felt like it could be a bad thing to possess refined sensory synesthesia until they started seeing one another.

But it was worth it, her temporary living troops were more than friendly to one another thanks to this, despite the great differences and heavy baggage their respective faiths carried toward one another.

As for the masked follower of Sanguine Undeviginti, that one was a bit more conciliant to begin with, a sort of brooding warrior type that felt like it was only right to bend the knee to the victor of their duel… It had not been obvious with the mask and ample robes, but the worshipper in red was actually a woman, her face much paler than it should be due to rarely taking off that iron mask.

She just sat there with her arms crossed, listening without saying a single word of her own.

Although she herself hadn’t decided to make use of it as having opted for a duel, the sanguine followers were actually also capable of creating bone-puppets, with less efficiency and power than their beloved red star, but still, apparently, the average arm-bearer of their faith was capable of having around ten average-sized puppets active, the woman right here could go up to fifteen, even though clearly favouring getting up close and personal.

“Benerib, how long do you think it will take you to gather other groups of your confession nearby?” asked Ir’Houwl, unlike the cleansing followers who were both erratic and sporadic, just forming cliques and going along with the flow without much cohesion, if any, between different groups, the sanguine worshippers were much more organised, and the living knew where exactly to find more allies for the empire.

“I would guess about three full rotations of the roaming suns” instantly replied the dual wielder.

“Very well then, you can depart right now, make sure to bring them all without fail” “Naturally” the red-robed arm-bearer put her mask back on and was quickly out of sight, Ir’Houwl turning to the other two.

“Cheops, any new scouting news?” the man felt odd at actually being called by his na instead of by his title by the undead, he supposed that he had managed to prove his worth to her, sohow, or maybe it was to not show favouritism to the new arrival as she had gotten to be addressed normally from the get go thanks to her stellar performance and compliance.

“We discovered a tribe of molochites, a few orcs and an abandoned town, that last one is very strange, it is all alone without any other town or a city nearby, which is simply not how things are done normally, so I assu that it was supposed to be developed into a city and serve as the heart of multiple towns, but I have never ever heard of any project here, did you, ri?” he turned to the cleansing worshipper, whomst everyone was already referring to as his wife, an appellation he had not bothered to put into question at all.

“Is it west of here?

I think I know that one, and a few other arm-bearers were pulled along to kill everyone there by an Ersta’sol” she casually replied, sliding her chair closer to his and slapping one hand on Cheops thigh.

“Ah, I didn’t even know you had an Ersta’sol in the worship of Cleansing Undeviginti” he put his hand on top of hers, interlocking fingers.

Ir’Houwl wasn’t fazed by the shaless flirting, it was just a pre-mating ritual of the living.

“I shall entrust you with the mission of escorting a few of my soldiers there, you’ll be acting as the face of the operation as per usual, and they’ll take care of turning this ghost town into a suitable oasis for our usage… Once that is done, we shall go and subjugate the orcs and malachites” the minor lord spoke “You have one hour before departure” She added, and it didn’t take long for the lovebirds to vanish.

Thanks to the conjoined knowledge of three of the five solar faiths, she could know that it was most prob able that either Watchful Undeviginti would show up again in the near future, or that Pri Undeviginti would stick around for a while longer, and although Illusory Undeviginti wasn’t the sort to let its arrival be know, it also was one of the least dangerous ones.

It could make one believe many things, to the point that they might even feel like reality to so, but in truth, the trickster was just a simple sun that casted illusions, during its ti as sovereign any moving sun or additional sun around it were all re illusions, even the light and heat they casted was but a re mirage, and simply knowing it was already plenty to help see through the more than convincing fakes.

On the other hand, Watchful Undeviginti was actually more dangerous, the livings that it could send down were called hunters, and they sought out threats to take out, last ti, it was likely that the pale blue star had been uncertain as though the danger posed by Ir’Houwl and her troops, the watchful one seed to fancy itself as a dispenser of justice and a rightful sort, as such, it had not truly attempted to lay waste to them with its hunters, and rely probed.

If its character was as well understood as it seed, then it probably wouldn’t strike with force even when it would appear again, treating the casualty of the knight as its own fault for sending him all alone toward beings that probably knew nothing of Undeviginti.

Just like it wouldn’t send hunters against any monster tribe unless they were actually threatening sothing or soone, it would probably just observe the undeads, and if it realised that they were allying with three different faiths, then the sun would then probably deem it appropriate to hit them hard.

‘Doing anything when Watchful Undeviginti is around is a bad idea, we’ll just wait for the end of its reign when it does show up’
