695: Once Again, Sa Battlefield, Another Past 695: Once Again, Sa Battlefield, Another Past Loimos, at this very instant, was no longer a wraith, no longer a spectator to ancient and buried mories, he had just witnessed incredible events, learned things that he might have never known about otherwise, but now was not the ti for that, as he had been pulled exactly where Quideos Audit had hoped, a mont of a possible past that had not co to pass.

The undead was garbed in his regular armour and long black coat, the winds were strong, causing his mantle sway, dust and small bits of debris were being carried by the gusts.

The skeleton was in a wide, desolate flatland of upturned dirt, only decorated with the crumbling remnants of a few buildings, all of which seed to resemble churches or other places of worship, the sky was blue and the sun was dim, there was no death force in the air, but neither was there life force, it was as though the two energies had clashed and both had been destroyed as a result of it, leaving no victor behind.

He realised where he was.

Loimos was back in Millipolo, forr theocracy of Viridis, now better known as the battlefield where he, Champion Of Death, had faced the Champion Of Life.

The pure undead turned around, and as though faced with a warped mirror, the person opposite to him did the exact sa motion as he did… The tension in the air was palpable as they both faced one another- Once again.

“It must be fate, that this brat’s ability would bring you to ” Thanatok Ynigós was the sa as he was back then, only the presence of the pure living could possibly emit such a sense of danger.

“I see that even in a false mory of the past, you retain all of your knowledge, Ynigós” As should be expected of the pure living, wherever, and in whatever manner might his devouring life be manifested, it would carry with it all of him, aning that despite being conjured up by Quideos Audit’s ability, the person standing before Loimos was no mirage or apparition, but the bonafide Thanatok Ynigós.

Which was not ideal at all.

“Heheh… Surprised that I still live?

Contrary to what you might believe, Loimos, I too am eternal, even if not quite the most glorious manner of immortality- As you can see, you failed to kill for good” Loimos said nothing in response.

“What’s with the silence?

In any case, I guess that you understand what this little Audit guy is trying to do here, right?” “Naturally, he knows that your devouring life can cross the bounds of his ability, and expect you to defeat , and for you life force to destroy my real body as well, therefore destroying for good as only a life force your calibre is capable of preventing from simply reforming through The Graveyard” “Mmh… I certainly hope that the little prophet didn’t think that this was a masterplan, pretty simple if you ask !

But really, I should have been more careful when I crushed that abomination in the past, that Graveyard thing is really annoying” “King Nitok would have rely nurtured another in that case, there was nothing you could have done” “You and your soulless tone, I can’t tell if it’s a nasty jab or just a fact you’re stating… Heh… But spit it out, why is the oh-so pure undead, champion of death and whatever actually engaging in conversation with ?

I was expecting you to try to have tired murder a thousand tis already- I honestly didn’t think far enough ahead to hold an actual discussion” Thanatok shrugged, his vibrant green eyes staring straight into the skeleton’s dark-filled helm.

“Who is the third hero?” he asked.

“I have no idea who you’re talking about” “You and Liailos were not alone in your crusade against the empire, there was a third who allowed for the living to triumph, who is he?” “I truly do not know, there were only the two of us-” the pure living stopped and frowned “-Wait a minute…” “Are you casting mind trickery on , bone-sack?

I am rembering things that I am pretty sure never happened” “I saw him, a hero wielding a golden energy, a pure energy that I have never seen before” The champion of life remained silent for a few seconds, standing unbothered as the winds struck his uncovered torso and threw his blond hair around.

“…The guy who felled The Defiler Of The Holy, I wonder why I couldn’t rember him?

But I am afraid that apart from the fact that he existed, I do not recall anything else, like his existence was expunged from the world itself, or sothing ridiculous like that…” “…Though, this reminds of sothing else, that defiler guy, I t him once without his mask… I guess I should have known, creatures of this kind are never too far apart, huh?” Thanatok Ynigós’s life force flared up, the sheer power of him exerting his will created squalls capable of breaking necks.

Loimos’s death force flared up as well, and his hollow sockets ignited with that deep purple glow.

“Here… His one good eye was exactly the sa colour… Who the hell are you exactly, Loimos?” “I am only Loimos” “Is that the truth?

Are you certain you weren’t a raving lunatic in life?

If not, that is quite the conundrum, for two creatures like yourselves to share the sa, unseen shade of purple!” The pure living and pure undead both moved at the sa ti, across kiloters in every direction, blasts and abject destruction occurred, be it on the ground or in the air, foul, death infested elents exploded outwards, rot and putrescence manifesting and weaving themselves into all sorts of forms and constructs, spells, arrays and magic circles ford out of nowhere.

All of it was struck by attacks imbued with devouring life.

This countless exchanges that showed the usages of every ways of power known to Loimos used from the basics to most innovative manoeuvres, lded and combined alongside Harbinger’s Harvest clashed with the pure power and mastery of life force of Thanatok Ynigós, bringing them into a close quarter fight that was almost stale when compared to what had co before.

Both combatants sohow managed to return exactly where they had started, both with their backs turned as they rushed past one another.

Stopping from a brief instant, as both of their heads and chests suddenly exploded with the other’s incredible energy plaguing their very being, only for all of it to be dispelled and all damage to heal in the blink of an eye.

“You’ve gotten stronger, Loimos” “Your determination to win is many tis greater, Thanatok Ynigós” “What can I say, I learned to better wield my prival vigour since last ti, even though I was supposed to be dead, I guess a single fight with you is worth multiple lifetis of training” “This might be the last ti we clash, so let’s stop with the pleasantries… This place is just a mory, I have no need to bother not destroying it, and neither do you need to think about conquering it” Both moved again, making this false past quake as a whole.
