Within the empire, as a future encounter between the greatest leaders of this world was looming over, as realms were on the verge of being put under the untiring assault of the dead, Loimos, leader of the vanguard, was making preparations for various things at the sa ti.

One having to do with the instructor caste, as Gunlaurgh was given a most important task, it had been granted a while ago but now, with the recent opening of the realm Tamarisian survivors had escaped to, it had further increased in its importance, because of course, if no undead could walk within, then it would be up for livings to dispatch death in the empire's na.

The vanguard simply needed to submit livings to their rule and draft them into the soon-to-be living caste, however, considering that the other continents were both hardly reachable and currently off-limits due to the upcoming eting, taking into account that small nations outside of their reaches wouldn't have much population and could also not bear livings capable of being soldiers, the best possibility would be highly populated realms from which they would be able to source manpower.

Gunlaurgh had progressed well in his ways to teach livings, knowledgeable in both a harsh and regular manner depending on how willing a living might be, he just required the raw material needed to shape competent-enough warriors.

Of course, there was also the matter of orderly ranks, progress was being made to not only integrate an upgraded version of it to the entire empire, but also create variations that could be fashioned to fasten and strengthen particular areas, theoretically, anything could be hastened and empowered, each caste, each individual piece of territory could have a variation of orderly ranks specifically suited for it on top of the global one, bringing a whole new level of power.

This was without considering that orderly ranks also held the ability to greatly empower the leader as well, aning that it could also serve as a source of individual power if necessary.

Loimos was working closely with all the teams working on the four newests way of power, he himself had already fostered pyromancy to great heights, but feasting and transplantation required a bit more thinking, on the surface, both of those ways of power seed rather useless to Loimos himself, his mastery of rot and of the abilities of the gravelords, particularly Vespertillo's and Atsaninopalo's allowed for him to perfectly replicate every and single thing he had ever decayed, thanks to his immaculate ability to use Nosferatu's stack beyond what the vampire lord had taught him further allowed him to pile all that he could into every fibre of his being at any given ti, aning that he could actually use his full, theoretical might without problem as the only limit to this endless addition of energies and matter was the sheer amount of those different things he possessed at any given mont.

Adding all other tricks and abilities learned from the other gravelords coupled with his understanding of all ways of power possible, it simply looked difficult for feasting and transplantation to fit in as they appeared to bring powers he already possessed.

However, both of them were a bit more than ets the eye, the sort of abilities they could bring about were not actually the sa as anything else.

Transplantation, at a glance, was rely about enhancing a given body part by fusing others into yours, but it also held the rather mystical ability to blur the line between the user and the beings used in the fusion.

The westerners were capable of walking upon the air thanks to using birds in the transplantation of their eye, quite literally blurring the line between walking and flying by accomplishing the latter whilst doing the forr.

There were no actual platforms for them to stand upon, there was no energy to detect about it, they just walked across the air and that was it, it was rather different than Loimos literally mimicking a being's abilities or such, when he was floating up in the air, there would certainly be a rational explanation for it, it was simply that it could be either of the hundreds of such manners to do so.

Westerners had only experinting with their eyes for the most part, a little bit with bottom-prowlers and only Jaral had been confident enough to have his heart transplanted, the possibilities were wide, and thanks to Loimos's rotten physique and prival rot, doing transplantations in the blink of an eye and on the fly was incredibly simple, just another way of power whose rules he could abuse.

As for feasting, the sa reasoning could be applied, although those who feasted did indeed mimic the physiology of what they devoured in so capacity, which definitely overlapped with Loimos's rot, the boost granted through feasting was sowhat separate, as devouring your own species did not have quite the sa effect, only granting flat boosts, which was handy since Loimos could produce as much of himself to then feast upon as he wanted.

That was rather minor as the increase in strength wasn't enormous, it was the als instead that were of interest, like with transplantation, the effects they had were not imitation but inherent to the al itself, if one had to argue, it was like als were their own form of energy and the act of consuming them was like casting a spell held within, they were yet another way to create phenona to add to his arsenal.

Though, even if he could technically do everything necessary inside of his ribcage, away from prying eyes and then consu it still from within, Loimos was not exactly a master cook, he had certainly read books about it but it wasn't that common and the manner in which sothing was prepared was very important.

The champion of death having to learn how to be a chef for additional power was unlikely to have been in anyone's prediction.

But it was also necessary to learn how to devise feasts and als that would suit the troops, particularly, for a way for many to even begin to feast, skeletons for example, would have a hard ti engaging with this without a specific manner that they could follow.

Right at this very instant however, Loimos was also honouring a promise he had made a little while ago.

"Alright, you do your thing, I am not at all good with chanisms like that" standing in a floor of the black tower made into a forge, the putrid undead and Maliah were standing around a table upon which a trident dagger was laid upon.
