"But what about you, William? Weren't you boasting about your charm last ti?" Ilona shifted the focus to the blond otherworlder, who tried to casually look away and act like he had heard nothing, a strategy that bore no fruits as the gaze of the other two pierced through the back of his head.

"How can I put it… I feel like it is working out, but also not quite certain…" unlike the more socially awkward Toby, William had always been of the more extraverted sort, he had had a few girlfriends throughout his school years, the success story starting when still just a little boy.

So of course, the otherworlder had always believed in his charisma, it had never failed him, and since William's personality was not bad either, he could get by even if that was not the selling point.

But the problem of being extraverted in a completely different world was that instead of just learning as he interacted with people like Toby did, he had to relearn everything from scratch, this was sothing that was only realised after coming to the Erald Realm, when he first attempted to actually get in a lady's good graces.

Not feeling comfortable with people that had animal parts, the blond had instead interested himself in sun worshippers, although very different-looking than humans still, they just gave off a similar vibe nonetheless.

And so he realised that seducing soone here was an entirely different sport from the one he had mastered, while beast worshippers were very down to earth, more instinctual and not prone to question said instincts, the sun worshippers all seed to revel in trickery and playfulness, they were all very positive on the daily but trying to figure out when they were serious and when they were ssing with you was a hassle.

"What was her na again?" wondered Toby.

"Sothing with a Z in it" responded Ilona.

"Ilazan, oh, I thought she was more of the quiet and serious type, sitting all by herself in their library of sorts… Well, she is, but sun worshipper sauce, I guess" lanted William.

"I an, if pulling pranks and making fun of others is their schtick, the fact that she tornts you extra hard must an that she extra-likes you, right?" the bespectacled otherworlder said.

"It is truly a wonder that you can only be insightful when it cos to relationships that have nothing to do with you" Ilona chuckled, still thinking about what will happen to him with Ooaluz.

William pondered, Ilazan was a green sun battlemonk, which, from what he understood, was more akin to a mage amidst the three ranks, wearing a simple green tunic that allowed to perfectly see her slender arms, short bright white hair…

Since the blond always ca back to see her, he was clearly still interested in spite of the nurous tricks she pulled on him every single ti.

"I have talked with quite a few sun worshippers myself, and they don't tend to be overly playful instantly, they start getting funny ideas after getting to know soone a little bit, it's a sign of affection, really" once again, Ilona showed off that she was the one with the best understanding of this realm amongst the three.

"How do you even figure that out?"

"I use my head?"

All three had their attention diverted from their conversation as sothing appeared in the erald void, a large figure that erged from the underside of the floating landmass that was the mainland here.

By all ans, it was enormous, body resembling that of a whale but missing quite a few key aspects, lacking flippers, a fin and a tail, just a huge body floating through the air, although it did have limbs in another form, lined up on each sides on the axis the flippers would expected, were rows of long and thick tentacles.

Its throat bulged up and down like a frog's, everyti it was emptied, the flying whale would move forward, neither of them had seen anything in the void before, even the birds of the Erald Realm never ventured over there, aning that it was a rare beast.

The flesh of this creature seed thick and solid, only its throat seed to have any flexibility.

Toby quickly analysed it out of curiosity, but did not say anything for a few monts.

"Ah- Ahlt-" it sounded like he was on the verge of sneezing.

"Ahltaizth?" he said with uncertainty.

"That whale is called an Ahltaizth?"

"How can you pronounce that so easily?"

Ilona just shrugged, she had gotten used to the prevalence of certain sounds in the nas and language of the locals.

"Perhaps we should tell the beast worshippers about this" spoke the otherworlder, lifting herself up using the halberd.

Beginning to walk away from the edge, the closest city of beast worshippers was not exactly close by, the sa was the case for any of the towers of the sun worshippers, they did not build anywhere near the edges, preferring to settle firmly in land, so it was a rather lengthy trek to go back and forth, especially since the Erald Realm, even if its land was singular was still large.

Scale compared to their forr world was wholly ssed up in this one, continents could casually be larger than the entire planet they used to dwell upon and no one thought that it was oversized, the people could move on their own two feet or which a carriage, distances that would be mad to imagine using the vehicles the otherworlders had know, and all that without complaint.

The fact that the undead empire had managed to conquer the entirety of Viridis in so little ti was even more mind boggling.

"Say, Ilona" William spoke up.

"We speak about mine and Toby's attempts at a love story, but what about you?"

"Heh, I didn't really put much thought to that, I am more focused on my training" she simply responded, staring intently at her halberd, forged out what looked like copper and built with the purpose of also serving as a great conduit of magic, Pierre-Ornée had really been imagining great things for her in the future, as a warrior.

Neither of the two n questioned why she kept on training despite their arrival into a very secure realm, out of the reach of death, they did not know for certain, but it seed clear that training held importance beyond just greater strength to Ilona.

Guessing that it served as a way to pay tribute to their teacher, a show that his efforts to train her into a true knight of copper were not in vain, nor that it would be forgotten.

Ilona tightened her hold upon the handle, a low crackling sounding out.

They were not completely wrong, but far from right.

Her blade was intended to fall upon the one who had felled Pierre-Ornée.
